DAYS: Head Writer Ron Carlivati Departing Peacock Soap After Seven Years
In regards to my answering a question yesterday: "They taped the last two weeks, I just haven't updated the page." I was answering a question that Days was not dark the last two weeks. I see my answer was then attached to my post about the new writers, so some people mistook that to mean I was saying the new writers taped the last two weeks. I was told people were saying on Twitter that I said Cwikly/Ford taped the last two weeks. I did not say that. Sorry for any confusion (more due to the fact that SON combines posts when you post in quick succession!)

DAYS: Head Writer Ron Carlivati Departing Peacock Soap After Seven Years
RON CARLIVATI TO END "DAYS" RUN IN 3RD PLACE ALL-TIME FOR MOST EPISODES AS HEAD WRITER.... Ron Carlivati will wrap his "Days" run in April 2025, with around 1,960-1,970 episodes as head writer. That places him just behind William J. Bell (2,211 episodes) and James E. Reilly (2,069 episodes) on the all-time "Days" list.

DAYS: Head Writer Ron Carlivati Departing Peacock Soap After Seven Years
CWIKLY/FORD JUST THE SECOND FEMALE DUO TO BE HEAD WRITERS OF "DAYS"... New head writers Paula Cwikly and Jeanne Marie Ford are just the second female duo to be head writers of "Days" in its 59-year history, joining the duo of Margaret DePriest and Sheri Anderson, who were the head writers for 632 episodes from April 19, 1982-September 21, 1984.

DAYS: Head Writer Ron Carlivati Departing Peacock Soap After Seven Years
THIS IS AN ANSWER TO VelekaCarruthers SAYING DAYS WAS DARK THE LAST FEW WEEKS. I WAS REPLYING THE SHOW HAD TAPED THE LAST TWO WEEKS: "They taped the last two weeks, I just haven't updated the page." This is not attached to my post below, but SON combines posts when you make them in quick succession. So, if you mistook this and were saying on Twitter I said Cwikly/Ford taped the last two weeks, I did not. Sorry for any confusion!! SEPARATE POST BELOW ABOUT NEW WRITING TEAM: MEET THE NEW HEAD WRITING DUO OF "DAYS OF OUR LIVES"...PAULA CWIKLY & JEANNE MARIE FORD... Paula Cwikly was a production coordinator at NBC in the late 1980's, and later was a writer/producer at CBS from 1989-1991, responsible for on-air promotions of "The Young and the Restless" and "The Bold and the Beautiful". By 1998, she was NBC's director of daytime programming. Her first writing stint was at "Sunset Beach" in 1999. She started her "Days" career as a breakdown writer from January 2000-March 2002, when she was named head writer of "Days" on March 29, 2002, She spent a year as head writer, with her last episode airing March 6, 2003. Cwikly then returned to her role as breakdown writer from March 2003-September 2003. She wrote for "As the World Turns" from 2004-2005 and "The Young and the Restless" from 2006-2013. Cwikly has been nominated for 7 Daytime Emmy Awards, winning twice (2005, 2011), Paula Frances Cwikly was born on April 29, 1961 in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. Jeanne Marie Ford credits her love of daytime dramas to her grandmother. "My grandmother lived with me growing up and she was a big fan of 'General Hospital' and all the ABC shows...She kind of got me hooked on soaps. Then when I was in high school, my best friend got me hooked on 'Days.' (via https://www.heraldmailmedia.com/.../so-are-the.../117186840/) She first worked on the "Days" staff in 1992 as an unpaid intern and soon after became the show's writer's assistant from 1992-1996. She moved back to Marlyand from 1996-1999, and then re-joined "Days" as its continuity coordinator in March 1999 and became a full time staff writer (switching between breakdown writer, script editor and script writer) beginning in 2000, leaving in May 2007. While away from "Days", Ford wrote for "As the World Turns" and "One Life to Live." She returned to the show as a breakdown writer in October 2008, and, since then, has worked as both that and a dialogue writer. She has been nominated 11 times for Daytime Emmy Awards, winning 3 times (2012, 2018, 2022). Jeanne Marie Grunwell was born on April 26, 1971 in California. She is married to James Ford and now uses her married name professionally. Ford, who is based in Maryland, also works as a college English professor there.

I thought yesterday you said you knew of this resource: https://daytimeroyaltyonline.com/days-daily-summaries-1980-1989-t15361.html? You said you had checked it before. I posted those online years ago as a resource for people, especially those who want to date episodes, and especially since I can't check for episodes every day. But, here's one more I'll do for you. Where did you get those 5 episode numbers from? None of those episodes has Anna's brother, Brett, in it. The only episode with Brett and the lion is 4567, so that is the episode: 4567...10/25/83: Cast: Doug, Abe, Andre as Tony, Danny, Roman, Gwen, Chris, Anna, Hope, Bo, Sandy, Brett, Letitia, Mrs. Whiting, Wanda/Guard, Waiter, Cop # 1, Raven/animal, Lion/animal, Cats/animals. Sets: Shenanigans, Salem Inn Dining Room, Letitia's Living Room, Chris' House, Tony's Salem Inn Room, Abe & Roman's Inner & Outer Office, Warden's Office & Ext. Door.

Me too! I just heard back from them today, and they said they would tell their team about the Ketty Lester suggestion. I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask, since they might be asking Days for footage for some Tina episodes from the 1970's, if there was anyway the could ask for the footage of Episode # 27 as well, which is the only episode missing in my episode guide. (Days doesn't have the first 75 scripts in their in-house collection, so even they couldn't help script-wise). So, I doubt they will ask, but figured it couldn't hurt to ask them!!

Maybe he had the same issue as me. When you asked me to look for that episode yesterday, I first tried to view the clip and it said I needed a password to access the Rumble site so I thought it was inaccessible. Have you changed your settings earlier today and made that video accessible? If not, it was not accessible to either me or Joseph yesterday/earlier today, but checking now, it is available for viewing. I don't know why Rumble would be easier than YouTube in regards to copyrights. If NBC/Sony/Corday wants the video removed, they have the right to ask for it to be removed.

That's not enough to go on, at least to do it quickly, and I don't have time to go through episode-by-episode cast lists, sorry. You mentioned Jerry last time, which made it quite easy to find in a moment. The 1980-1989 daily episode guide is posted here, so you can check it out and maybe find it: https://daytimeroyaltyonline.com/days-daily-summaries-1980-1989-t15361.html?

When I was sending some Tina Andrews-related paperwork to CNN today, I remembered that I had seen Ketty Lester (who played Valerie's mother Helen) last year in an episode of "The Wonder Years." So, I mentioned to them that perhaps they could get in contact with Ketty and either just interview her about her memories of Tina/Days, or perhaps even get an on-air reunion of the two! Doubt that will happen, but doesn't hurt to ask!!
