Why would she? He recognizes her rightful role as the queen/star of the show and he gives her good material. I know you have an over the top hatred for him but some of us genuinely like him. Not everyone agrees with you.

Weird how they hate Passions but they can’t stay out of the Passions thread. Also weird that they don’t post on the main forums.

The fact that you call his writing “bad habits” is insulting. JER was at his best when he had full control of his soaps.

I can’t stand seeing Passions or JER criticized. That man was my idol, and Passions is my favorite television program of all time. I’m thankful everyday that I got to go along for the ride. Too much power? JER didn’t have full creative control until the show moved to DirecTV. At NBC he was hindered by network censors. I stopped watching Days in 2006 when JER was fired (or did he quit?). Since then, I’ve never been able to watch more than a year at most. I started again in 2011 for MarDar, Jack, Carrie, and Austin but stopped when they were all fired less than a year later. In 2014 and 2017, I watched the episodes where Eileen returned as my favorite character Susan. Tried again in 2018 when Jack returned and lasted until Missy left in late 2020. Watched both Beyond Salems and the possession episodes for Eileen, Lisa, Christie, and Austin, and I watched again last spring when Eileen returned as Thomas. I don’t foresee myself watching Days again unless Eileen returns.

It was on ABC which you get in a standard cable package (if you have cable). Since it didn’t air on Citytv it won’t be streaming in Canada unless it comes to Disney+.

I remember seeing something on Beth’s Days Page (probably ages ago) that Jack and Jennifer were also being discussed for a spinoff. Maybe their own or maybe Manhattan Lives? Could Deidre’s fertility issues have played a role in the spinoff not going forward? Or maybe ultimately she didn’t want to relocate to NYC.

Burton was brought on to Days by its former EP who was a fan of his. His story with Tamara Braun is extremely unpopular.

GH should move to primetime?!

I was talking about Days casting him, not GH. Back in 2000-01, Days tried to cast him (I think he had just left GH) and created the role of Colin Murphy to be paired with Jennifer Deveraux. It didn’t work out and then later the role went to someone else.

Oh, I don’t want Days to cast Ingo. I could just see it happening.

If they want this return to work, it needs to feel fresh. Restore his memory, change his name back to Jason Quartermaine, and pair him with Liz.

He will be airing on both Days and GH simultaneously for the next six or seven months. Good luck to fans who watch both.

Maybe they’ll hire Ingo now. He was the original choice for the role of Colin Murphy.

Calling him Cyclops would be insulting but I don’t think Patch is insulting. Technically Cyclops wouldn’t be right, would it? He doesn’t have any eyes at all.

I don’t consider it ableist so I will continue to call him Patch. That’s his iconic name.
