DAYS: Actor already exiting!
WTH???? The actor was the best addition to the show in YEARS. He had chemistry with everyone, handsome, fit in so well with the Hortons. I don't understand why this show cannot write for the Hortons. Since the new writing regime, there are some good "scenes" but not good "stories" if that makes sense. I had renewed Peacock because I wanted to see the anniversary and Xmas episodes, but I think I'm canceling again.

Y&R: multisoap actor returns after 10 years for an arc
I thought she was fascinating as Patty the first time, and the show made the mistake of taking her too far and writing the character into a corner. I had wished they had stopped short of that and found a way to keep her. That being said, I don't trust this show to do anything right these days.

LATEST RATINGS: January 5-9, 2026
I watched every episode of BTG for the first seven months or so. But, now I go days without watching, and sometimes I'll only watch for a few minutes. I soooo badly want this show to succeed, but to be honest, it's just felt so boring for so long now. It feels like nothing is happening and there is no story movement. There are definitely no twists and turns, so there's no urgency to watch. I thought something would finally happen once we found out Hayley's plan, but all she's done for weeks is make tea for Bill. YAWN. While I think the Anita cancer story is an important one, it's practically been the whole show for weeks now. There's not enough stuff to balance it out. We all know Anita's going to come through this, and Dani is certainly not going to get cancer and die. I need more surprises, more cliffhangers, and not endless conversations about the same things. One thing I think has been missing from the show from the start has been there is no "starstruck couple" who are being kept apart and that we can root for. What's the closest? Andre and Dani? They're already married. CBS can't be happy that the demos are now what The Talk was doing. I just hope that they make the show compelling again before CBS loses interest. That would be so sad and horrible for the future of the genre.

ARTICLE: ‘Days Of Our Lives’ Fires Four: Carson Boatman, Raven Bowens, Leo Howard & Ashley Puzemis
Wow...all four of these are shockers. I can think of a few other characters that make more sense to let go...or use a lot less of (cough, cough Leo)

BTG: January 2026 Discussion Thread
I think the actress that plays Ashley is actually pretty good, but the writing just hasn't been there for the character and everything with Derek didn't work. Hopefully, they'll be able to figure out a way to use her effectively. I wish we could have found out that she was Joey Armstrong's daughter, and her mom has been keeping it a secret. It would be a way to bring her into the broader story. I'm SOOOOO ready for Hayley to actually put the next stage of her plan in action. I, too, felt like things have been in a rut for a bit. I'm hoping these are good signs of what's to come.

Knots Landing
I've been rewatching the show on Plex. I didn't start really watching until Season 11 back when I was a teenager, so all the earlier seasons were basically brand new for me. I hated how Laura was basically given nothing to do her last few seasons until it was time for her to die. CM was such a phenomenal actress! I really had a huge appreciation for her watching those early seasons now as an adult. I'm now in the early episodes of season 13....God, help me! You can see it going off the rails. I think the show held up pretty decently up until the end of Season 12. I don't think I watched much of Season 14 when it originally aired. So, that will be mostly new to me, too. I know a lot has to do with Mary Robinson. At least they tried to make Laura part of the narrative sort-of at the end.
