  1. They did not work well; the chemistry between Lopez & Mansi was not there, and the characters just did not naturally blend beyond friendship for me. And I think it has to do with the audience wanting a female-female pairing. It reminds me of the unhealthy obsession people had with Kristina & Parker. Like, they want something to they'll take anything that is given, and that isn't cute. The only female-female pairing I felt for Kristina was Valerie.
  2. Yup, but they'll argue LGBTQIA+ couples are "special" and "untouchable", which is bullshït. And the two pairings are not the same: one worked. One did not.
  3. SO stunning!
  4. Whether paired with someone else or by himself, so long as Valentini & Varni/Disney ABC were controlling the strings, his vision would've never taken off. He's not a "yes" person, and that's ultimately what they are looking for.
  5. Very interesting; as is seeing Carmen Duncan as Lisa, too.
  6. Same here; it's "local programming," so that will either change or [some] places won't receive the third hour.
  7. Oh, I thought you were all talking about the Chancellor Industries set. Whew. The full Chancellor mansion set got changed in 2012 when Jill Farren Phelps became EP. These scenes aired May 3, 2013 (a.k.a. Jeanne Cooper's final episode as Katherine Chancellor): It's the same general shooting style that we have now, but the furniture is set up differently to more-so mirror the previous set up the set had. If I recall correctly, the arrangement changed sometime in early 2013, around the time the new Newman Ranch set was introduced. @Sapounopera
  8. It has been described as existing in the Maryland / Washington, D.C. area.
  9. Under Ainsworth, Kristina described herself as sexually fluid, and maintained that fluidity. It seems, with casting Mansi, they wanted it to be bisexuality (or don't understand that the two are different), and then a script was penned that contradicted this.
  10. YUP! That's always been Twitter etiquette that people cannot comprehend.
  11. She's being tagged in psychotic "Kraze" tweets, some insinuating she has control over storyline / actors who are hired and fired.
  12. Well, known gay characters right off the bat. Santa Barbara had Channing Capwell Jnr.
  13. It definitely gives off the feeling of "I'm done writing for what they think people want" and it gives "this is what people want / need to see!" Possibly... but again, I think it is also interesting that they're noting actors must be residents of Atlanta. Seems like they're not pulling the same shït other soaps do with actors traveling from coast to coast for the shows. They want them in-town, permanently and settled down. They're not messing around. For previous roles, yes... but these, no. And I doubt it'll matter or help much. I suspect [some] soap vets than reside in Atlanta will be chosen or gone after, and the rest will either be local talent or talent willing to re-locate for the job.
  14. Who knows; possibly? It's also interesting the nine players TV Insider revealed were all series regulars. Are the names of other spouses already cast or are they recurring?
