I think we have to remember: Patrick Mulcahey is someone who worked with Douglas Marland, and may be trying to work within Marland's soap rules. I don't expect major changes in terms of cast pruning until the end of 2024. I suspect they'll weed out some immediate exits (some of which I am seeing) before things actually happen.

TOLN's productions were simply a mixture of being ahead of their time and also not as... well executed as they should have been. The sets ⏤ while nice ⏤ were also all backwards, and they could have potentially taken from English soaps and created a more fixed environment. When I watch Hollyoaks, and then watch the content of All My Children & One Life to Live I see so many similarities, and it's quite disheartening that it did not work out in the end, because it could have had they not had six-weeks to get things together from hiring an EP to the start of filming. Six week is not enough time. At all.

I've based it off of her work on General Hospital, which was pretty well done, and then she went to Hallmark and seemed to lose what made her spark. And no offense to you, but I wouldn't judge the films simply because of the network they come from. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Just anything Gina Tognoni! 🤣 But I think Zucker would be amazing as Sarah, and it'd be nice to see her under the pen of Patrick Mulcahey and with a cast that I feel like would warmly welcome and nurture her.

Berman did some Hallmark films and in watching them I found she lacked acting skill. As for Rylan, I liked her in the role, but I hated the writing she was given. There was zero Spencer bite in the writing for Lulu (especially once she became a mother). Oh! Glad you think I had a good idea, haha. I just think she'd really re-invent the role of Sarah and give it some potential longevity. And I think Zucker opposite Rebecca Herbst would be amazing. I just visually see it. And her returning as a love interest as Lucky? That would be JUICY!! I've been stating this for YEARS! Marci Miller would be an excellent Lulu recast.

It was a dark era but the acting was top notch, and love seeing Quartermaines not only on-canvas but on the hospital set.

I can see why [some] would feel that way, but Tyler Christopher was out of the role for seven years prior to his passing, so I'm okay with Adam Huss retaining the role at this point in time. I think it's a matter of either wanting Julie Berman back (and her not wanting to return) or the previous regime just not wanting Lulu to come back. Because, Emme Rylan stated she's told them she is open to returning, too, so it's not like there are not options. I'm not stating Rylan should come back (so no one shout at me), but options exist. I just don't think the previous regime wanted the role on-canvas. I'm hoping, by fall, something happens. As for Lucky... I doubt he would do it, but try and poach Greg Vaughan back, and then bring in Arianne Zucker as Sarah and have Sarah & Lucky return as lovers, which would cause some drama-rama for LIZ and LIZ ONLY! Some weird-ass rumours and supposed "spoilers," but I don't know how true it could be.

Mhmm. And, over time, maybe bring Nikolas back beyond the recurring-guest spots. But let the other two children re-integrate into the canvas.

I do hope it'll cause people to watch; I know a [few] that said, "Oh you're really talking this up! I'm going to queue up this soap and watch it," and the reception was positive. There was one naysayer who was a nasty nelly and cussing people out, and it showed how true their xenophobia actually is. It makes me happy seeing American press headlining Neighbours' nomination. And I hope it leads to more press; the only soap press I saw interview them was Michael Fairman; he brought on Lucinda Cowden (Melanie), Stefan Dennis (Paul) & Rebekah Elmaloglou (Terese), and it was a wonderful interview. And I wish more of that happened, and it still could! If anything, bring in Guy Pearce and Annie Jones to discuss with American press in lead-up to the Daytime Emmys, given Pearce's nomination, and his continued work with Jones.

@NothinButAttitude Jane Elliot admitted in a 2016 interview that her 1993 exit from General Hospital was because she was "in talks" to join As the World Turns thanks to Douglas Marland prior to his death. Upon his death, the talks stopped and she tried returning to General Hospital but was denied. And that's when she took on Valley of the Dolls in a non-acting capacity.

I think it depends on the Cassadine and how they take that family. Honestly... I'd much rather see a revival of the Wards and for Lulu to wake up at this point. Give us Spencers.
