Part of me thinks could it possibly be that Paloma raised Sasha under the alias of Amanda Gilmore? See, Jen Lilley would've been a solid casting for Willow Tait. She really would have, and would have given the role some teeth that Katelyn MacMullen is unable to provide.

Well, if Carnes was offered a full-time, contract status, I doubt they'd change story too much. It's probably just not viable to have an east coast-living actor in a contract role. Ryan Carnes was offered to return and turned the role down, and was offered a regular gig. I'm betting this being "heavily recurring" is due to Van Hansis' residence being on the east coast.

If I recall, he re-joined the force.

I would've bought that twist more had they not just revealed it via the writing throughout the episode. Do better editing and with your written subtext, folks.
