Khan I love you but we are not having Nikki fcking her dead daughter's husband in the hospital chapel! Especially since them having sex is what caused her to die! I don't mind the idea just not with these characters. No, I want Victoria to stay around but she needs to immediately be recast OR have them write to AH's strengths, which is cold indifference. Bring back Reed, get him a girlfriend Victoria disapproves of her and have her terrorize the poor thing. Stop writing her as a romantic heroine, AH cannot play that.

Y'all just want everyone to die! I think Y&R is still salvageable with the cast they have (minus Chloe, Kevin and Chelsea, they can all die painfully), they just need better stories.

They hired for looks. Not that soaps haven't hired for looks in the past or don't currently but in the late 90s/early 2000s it was really bad. Hair models galore. And JY was hot off of B&B. I can't explain Coltin Scott Stephen Martinez.

I don't know what their relationship was like initially but MTS and AH affectionately call each other "mom" and "daughter". I think AH is a atrocious actress but that's sweet.

Have they even addressed the age difference? Jack was with a woman young enough to be his granddaughter (twice!) and it wasn't even a story point.

I want Nikki to pursue Ashland in an effort to protect her daughter because she thinks he's nefarious and have it turn into a real affair. I mean I want that on a well-written show, not this one.

I'm sure it'll be nice to have a Sam that doesn't sound like she just took some quaaludes.

Abby and Devon's baby would come out pretty white anyway, he's got 3 white grandparents. Courtney Hope seems lovely but her character and casting make no sense. They didn't utilize her on B&B then cast her on this show with absolutely no plans in place. I mean she's talented sure but did they want to keep her that badly? The character exists to be the town punching bag. And from what I can tell she hasn't done anything that awful. Has she ruined marriages? Kidnapped a baby? Killed a dog?

It's absolutely about the writing. They SORASed him the first time with a plan they couldn't execute and since they've just kept him around on the periphery. He serves no purpose beyond being Nick and Sharon's kid. It looks like they're about do the same thing B&B did to Thomas when they had no clue how to write him, turn him into an obsessive creep. Why do this to the only child of relatively good people (for a soap) who we saw raise him? What does this achieve?

Yeah, no one is in the mood to watch Felicia grieve for 6 months. Especially a character like her who's been so in and out of the show the last 20 years. If Ron got some bright idea involving bringing JJ back they would 100% reverse her death. That show does not care about death at all, it's like a cartoon.

What would it take for death to matter on Days again? I assume any character death is just an opportunity for the actor to book another role, go on vacation or take a nap. Yes, the other soaps are bad about back from the dead plots but Days treats death like a minor inconvenience. So our best guesses are two young mothers. Just write them off for God's sake. And I don't even like Maxie. I think she's completely spent as a character and should be written off for at least 5 years. But to kill her? These people are so shortsighted. Also Felicia doesn't need two dead daughters. That's sick.

Before we get ten pages of the catty queens making the same tired jokes about this dude... Wendy's a good interview. I don't know if this was common knowledge but she says she reached out to Agnes Nixon and Bill Bell before starting on the show, she said they were nothing but kind and gracious. No wonder her GH was so good.
