  1. Great questions about Young and the Restless history! Did Nikki interact with John Abbott during her marriage to Jack? I believe she must have had some scenes with her father-in-law, but were they substantial or just passing moments? What about Nikki and Traci's relationship? Did they develop any meaningful connection, or were their interactions mostly limited to family gatherings and formal events? Has Nikki visited the Abbott mansion at different periods throughout the show's history? I'm curious if there were specific storylines that brought her there besides her marriage to Jack. Were there any memorable confrontations or heart-to-heart conversations between Nikki and any Abbott family members at their home that stood out in the show's long history?
  2. interesting 👇 So, too, was Braeden’s whole experience of working opposite Davidson. “I was really upset when she left,” he admits. As a result, Braeden had a difficult time accepting the actress who succeeded her, Brenda Epperson. “The transition was not the easiest for me,” Braeden admits. “I did not behave exceedingly well with her at first. I was not too nice to her. I missed the old Ashley very much. I’m very honest about that. “I have since learned to love working with her,” he continues. “She’s a joy to work with, a genuinely warm, kind person, and beautiful to look at. I don’t know exactly what the turning point was. Maybe I finally realized I was being an ass in a sense… It’s not that I was nasty with her. It’s just that I held back. I didn’t give of myself in those early scenes. Then, I got used to her. I began to watch her carefully and see a talent in her. I also began [feeling] upset about my being so unprofessional as to hold back. Brenda and I have since talked about it. I have apologized to her. I’m very enamored of Brenda now,” Braeden insists.
  3. Yeah B&B has really gone downhill. Same recycled love triangles and drama without any of the depth or creativity the show used to have.
  4. The whole Renee/Tony/DiMera storyline had so much more to give. They really cut it short with that Salem Slasher murder. And man, hearing how tight the cast was - gathering at someone's house to break that awful news about Brenda before it hit the media... that's real family right there.
  5. Phyllis Sampler reflects on her Days of Our Lives co-star Brenda Benet, who portrayed the character of Lee DuMonde on the show
  6. So, Sister Marie just disappeared in April 1985 with no explanation? And then she reappeared almost 10 years later for her father's funeral? https://x.com/Daysofour_Lives/status/1115231499891036161
  7. Nemeses Reunited Another highlight from Loring’s return to DAYS is a scene between Liz and her longtime nemesis, Marie. Decades ago, the two characters were both involved with same man, Neil Curtis. “It was so much fun, because I got to be snarky, and she was fabulous,” says Loring of co-star Maree Cheatham(Marie), who brought her A game during their confrontation. “There was so much energy and so much focus, and she was just perfection. Actually, I had never met her before, because she wasn’t playing Marie when I did that storyline.” The late Lanna Saunders played Marie from 1979 to 1985.) While Loring and Cheatham were thrust into playing adversaries on screen, they quickly bonded off camera. “I said, ‘I would love to sit and talk with you a little more off set,’ ” shares Loring. “So we did that. We decided we wanted to get together, and I went to her house. She has beautiful pottery and has all these amazing collections. Then we went to lunch and just had a wonderful visit. It was really nice.” Suffice it to say that Loring had a wonderful time during her DAYS return, and she’d consider popping back into Salem again for a visit. “If it was a one-day sort of thing, sure,” says the actress. “But I started supporting myself because I had to when I was 18. And so by the time I got to a certain point and I had been working for 54 years, I went, ‘You know what? That’s enough already.’ I have six grandchildren now. I want to be there to pick them up after school. I worked through one of my children’s [sons Brennan Thicke and Robin Thicke of Masked Singer fame, with her late ex-husband, sitcom star Alan Thicke] Christmases on Days of Our Lives, because we didn’t get any days off. So I remember not being there for my family, because of certain commitments I made to the show. But I’d do another quick thing like this where I could come into town and stir something up.” Loring has many memories from her first run on DAYS too, including the Liz-Don-Marlena and Liz-Neil-Marie triangles, her character’s stint in prison after accidentally shooting Marie, and Liz herself getting shot on a few occasions. “I used to go out on weekends and do concerts, which I had been doing long before I joined the show and after I left. I would say, ‘I played Liz Chandler on Days of Our Lives.’ People would ask, ‘Why did you leave?’ And I said, ‘Well, because they shot me every two years, whether I needed it or not,’ ” Loring delivers with a chuckle, noting that she also fondly recalls Liz’s many performances at Doug’s Place. “’You Were Always On My Mind’ was the song that I always sang. That was Liz’s song for Neil.”
  8. The late 60's through early 80's was truly Days of Our Lives "Lost Decade." This era packed some incredible storylines - Tommy Horton's return from death and shocking affair with his sister, the Mickey-Bill-Laura love triangle, Susan-Julie-David's drama, Linda Anderson's arc, Mickey and Maggie's affair, and of course, Stefano DiMera's game-changing arrival in Salem. Not to forget Mickey's faked death in '83. Hope we get to see these episodes someday!
  9. Is it just me, or was Sandra Nelson a great Phyllis?
  10. Any reason why the powers that be recreated Victor’s return from the dead in 1999? He already made a much more impactful and shocking return in 1993. Why repeat the same stunt?
  11. When can we expect to see John's memorial, and who will be returning for those episodes?
  12. Kudos to Beth Maitland, the only Abbott family member not to be recast.
  13. Mary Anderson had it all - family drama, business intrigue, multiple romances, and a tragic end. It's fascinating how she went from being accidentally shot by her own mother to marrying Alex who only wanted her company, and finally meeting her fate at the hands of the Salem Strangler. Mary Anderson is definitely from that 'lost decade' era of Days of Our Lives where there's very little surviving footage. It's a shame because her storylines sound pretty dramatic - especially that whole corporate takeover plot and the Salem Strangler murder. Would've been interesting to see how different actresses portrayed her character over the years too.
  14. Apart from Cruise of Deception and Jack-Jen (Matt & Missy), is it just me, or were the years 1987-1992 really quite boring?
  15. I’ve noticed scenes from the ’70s popping up in flashbacks and special YouTube clips, which got me thinking - production could totally start releasing those full episodes to the public. Fans would absolutely love it! For example, the flashbacks of Bill Horton’s jail time with Doug when he passed away, or when Susan Seaforth Hayes and Suzanne Rogers share their incredible history together. These moments are pure gold - releasing the full episodes would be such a gift for longtime fans!
  16. What a nostalgic treat for Christmas Day🎄✨
  17. Unbelievable that Tracey Bregman is 61! She looks absolutely stunning – true timeless beauty! ✨
