Christmas is over… so now we’re back to typical Ron crap. This is purely speculation on my part, but I’m really starting to wonder if Ron was attempting a suicide mission with Body&Soul, Connie, Leo, Fake Rafe 2.0, etc., but luckily Corday and Janet realized what was happening and fired his ass. What do y’all think? The young crowd was the best part of today, even though I’ve already voiced my opinion about the pacing of this storyline. I like the mess that Tate and Sophia are in. The cliffhanger was pretty good too. And I actually saw a little spark between Holly and Doug III too. I wonder how this is all going to play out. Plus, this is a much better use of Doug III/Peyton Meyer than having him be stuck with Leo. I had mixed feelings about the Rafe/Paulina scenes though. They were both such tone deaf dicks to each other today that I don’t know whose side to take 😂😂😂 And I did find Jada’s offer to Belle kind of interesting. That could actually set off a pretty good mess for the two of them and all the men in their lives, especially if something happens between Shawn and Jada, which I’m still hoping for.

All this talk of John is still tough to hear. I wonder what this top secret ISA case is going to end up being about. The Brady/Marlena scenes were really nice though. It’s always great to see Marlena shrinking Brady and I loved the Christmas gift that she got from him. And the one from John. And as much I hate Body&Soul, and hate what it’s done to Abe, I also loved the gift that Paulina gave to him. Btw, Abe’s Santa impression sounds a lot like his Stephen Nichols impression 😂😂😂 I also enjoyed Lani/Kristen’s reunion. They have a great friendship and I’m glad that the talk with Lani managed to convince Kristen to let Brady see Rachel. I still think Kristen is played out though. She should just be written off. And before she goes, needs to drop off her little demon spawn at Bayview. Btw, Happy Birthday, Jules and Carver! And congratulations, Tripp and Wendy! Too bad you’re not still on the canvas.

Merry Christmas, y’all! 🎄🎁 I’ll always love a Horton family Christmas. This is one of the things that makes Days what it is and I’m glad to see this tradition be carried on. There were a lot of sweet dorky family moments and I really liked that. And they got all the historical facts correct as well. Clearly, somebody at Days has been reading Jason47. Or this board 😂😂😂 Xander giving Sarah red shoes for Christmas was a nice throwback as well. Jack, Jennifer and JJ being all suspicious of Doug III was good too. And I like that those suspicions were one of the things that motivated JJ to decide to stay in Salem. He deserves to be on the canvas. And I don’t dislike this storyline, even though I’m still not sure about them making Julie so vulnerable. I wonder how it’s going to play out. And as much as I dislike the pacing of this storyline, Tate and Holly’s scenes were really sweet today, even though Tate lied lol I like the mess that they’re in. It just needed to happen a little later than now. The aftermath of John’s death, perhaps? It would have been nice to have a proper Holly/Tate/Sophia triangle.

With all the losses, the messy transitions between writers, and the hastily written and poorly written rewrites, this was not a good year for the soaps at all. But with Beyond the Gates coming, Ron finally being fired and Days celebrating its 60th anniversary, I couldn’t be happier that we, as soap fans, have so much to look forward to in 2025.

It was a Higley story that was a pretty lousy follow up to the Sami/EJ/Nicole saga. So naturally, Ron’s gonna bring it back.

Hey, Stephanie finally had a scene with her mother today 😂😂 I liked the conversation that she and Kayla had about Philip. It was good to see Stephanie have someone to confide in about her messy love life. They have a natural chemistry that Days doesn’t seem to use all that much. Stephanie can be so much more than just an Alex prop. Speaking of Alex, I also liked his scenes with Philip. The two of them being at odds over Stephanie and over Titan is a good idea and I’m looking forward to seeing how it all plays out. Philip telling Alex that he kissed Stephanie and Philip asking Stephanie out add more layers to this storyline and I like that. Plus, Alex should be more involved with his family than this B&S garbage, and whatever the hell’s happening with Johnny and Chanel. But between the two of them, I am Team Philip though. And having all this spill over into what’s going with Philip and Xander could be really good as well. Btw, Paulina’s a lousy Mayor lol And yeah, bringing Fake Rafe back is stupid, pointless and unnecessary. And a completely ridiculous way to (probably) cause problems for Rafe and Jada. I wonder which bonehead thought this was a good idea. April 24th can’t get here soon enough. Today was a bit of an improvement. No Leo 😂 With the way that both Galen and Elia play it, it’s a wonder how Rafe and Jada don’t fight constantly 😂 I was glad to see that start happening too

They were dropping anvils today like it was Looney Tunes 😂 I guess there’s no doubt about Brook Lynn and Gio anymore lol and it looks like Gio is now going to have something more to do. I still wonder what the original plan was for him, if they actually had one. Too soon to judge about him and Emma though. But I did like the impromptu concert that all the men in Brook Lynn’s life gave at the end. And btw, Ric and Alexis? I did not expect that. Could’ve done without Charlotte though. And I think the rest of y’all would agree 😂😂😂
