You'd think people who are always boasting about how much they love to use history would get it right all the time 😂 Seriously, the two of them together was one of the worst, if not the worst team in soap history and I couldn't be happier that they've been broken up.

I can't stand him. He's always boasting about his "love" for the genre and knowledge of all the soaps, yet treats it all like a big stupid joke and seems to have no understanding of what soap opera is To me, that's not love that's contempt. And he clearly doesn't do any research except maybe to read a sentence or two on a wiki somewhere. Liz and Marie was a perfect example of that. I was watching some episodes last week and I found proof that Liz and Marie did make peace in the 80s, so that petty bitchfight in Doug's funeral episode was not necessary.

Agreed it's almost like she's playing a different character I've always thought Ron had writing talent; his overall personality is the biggest problem. The thought of a suicide mission is still in the back of my mind. But there's no excuse for Jamey, who is hands down, the worst soap writer in history. Ron deserved firing just for him alone.

That’s two days in a row now that Marlena was used effectively 👍 I liked her counseling Johnny over everything that’s happening with him and Chanel. Chanel’s procedure seems very sudden and random though. I think there needed to be some more buildup to that, before she just went right ahead and did it. And kept it from Paulina too. But I did like Paulina using her own history with Lani as a way of cautioning Chanel about adopting Tate and Sophia’s baby. Still not feeling nuSophia though. She plays it like too much of a victim or pushover and that’s not the way the character should be, and hasn’t been since she made her debut. And the lies that she told Amy were a little ridiculous. Kinda not looking forward to when Amy meets Johnny and Chanel. And yeah, I know that this is a nitpick but nuSophia’s voice is so monotone too 😂😂 This whole adoption thing would be a lot better and a lot more compelling to watch if EJ and Kristen’s bullshit prevented it, which could also cause problems for Johnny and Chanel as well. And considering the spoilers, I hope it does. And, I still love the Julie/Doug III relationship despite the whole necklace thing hanging over them. I’m curious to see where how that storyline is going to play out. And how the Doug III/Sophia/Tate triangle is gonna play out as well.

Now that I think about it, maybe it would have better if Martin had been Vernon and Anita’s son, instead of their grandson.

Naomi, FTW 👍 Coming off of Ron Carlivati's Days, it's very, very refreshing to see a child step up and defend their mother like she did today. The tension between her and Bill, and her former friendship with Hayley is a very good dynamic that I hope the show continues to explore. As green as Derek is, I'm liking him and Ashley together. They're a sweet couple, but they just need some conflict lol hopefully it comes from Andre. Speaking of Andre... 😍😍 I don't mind the quasi-incest (Again, Days lol) I appreciate the messiness that this could lead to, especially if it leads to Bill being jealous on some level. And, I can also see this leading to some kind of scandal, either in the community or in Martin's career or something. Sleeping with your brother in law's nephew could lead to a lot more gossip too 😂😂 Btw, Leslie looks so much like Telma Hopkins lol

That thought has crossed my mind too. EJ ordering Fake Rafe not to sleep with Jada, and how he had "evolved" over the years was the first thing that didn't seem Ron-like to me. And I've always suspected that it wasn't just B&S that led to firing. Hang in there! 👍 We're in the home stretch now 😂😂😂

My God, Brady is so pathetic. I don’t mind him being messy but this is ridiculous. I can’t believe he’s going to allow himself to be manipulated by Kristen again. I’d rather he relapse into drugs and alcohol again than do this. Seriously, how could a man like John Black have sired such a loser? If I was Ava, I would’ve told Brady to go f*ck himself. And honestly, this enabling that Brady and Kristen are doing is disgusting. They deserve to lose their kid. And yeah, Brady needs to play a much bigger part in Tate’s storyline too. The Belle/Marlena scenes were really good. Belle breaking down and talking about stupid she’s been lately was the best part of today. And this was also a great way and the right way to use Marlena. But again they missed an important mark; Belle pointed out that Fake Rafe raped Sami but yet still hasn’t mentioned the fact that she was screwing the other guy who raped Sami. That’s an important dynamic that needs to be explored. But at the same time, I feel like Days has been handling the subject of rape with a lot more care lately. And honestly, that doesn’t seem very Ron-like to me. Maybe this was another factor that played into his firing.

This f*ckin show, man. I’ll never understand how they constantly expect us to hate one character who does something bad but then love another character who does the exact same thing 🖕 And yeah, hiring Joss to work for the WSB is like hiring Luigi Mangione to work in the healthcare industry. I did like Gio vs. Tracy though. They’re gonna be great together once the truth about Gio comes out. And, I know Chase meant well with his suggestion to Brook Lynn but yeah… 🤮🤮

Dani vs. Bill was the highlight of today. They both gave as good as they got, and hopefully this was the first confrontation of many. And if/when they do reunite, hopefully it's not for a while lol I'd like to see how Hayley would react to it. I also enjoyed the family meeting too. And I like that there's internal conflict within the Dupree family as well as all the external conflict from Bill, etc. I also got a B&B/Brooke Logan vibe from Anita in those scenes; thinking she can order around grown ass adults like they're children 😂😂 Sadly, Martin was the weak link again. Which is too bad because I'm getting more and more interested in his big secret that Vernon and Anita are being blackmailed over. I still don't see any chemistry between him and Smitty either. I'm also interested in seeing how Smitty interacts with the rest of the cast. I don't really know what Vanessa was doing today, but I wish we could have had more of a friendship scene between her and Dani. Btw, Zeke from Vanessa's office looked like an older Lucas Adams 😂 The cliffhanger was really good too.

I don't think they're making fun. I think they're just trying to be funny but failing miserably 😂 The way this storyline is being written is reminding of that whole My Fair Lady thing they tried to do with Lois. If anything, Gio going off the rails with Q money should make him like a playboy or something

Finally, some follow up with EJ/Rafe/Kristen. Still not sure why we couldn’t see the outcome of EJ and Rafe’s fight though. I wonder who worked on today’s episode because it was weird af. And it didn’t even feel like a Jamey episode. The way it was broken down and written was very strange. Plus, the dialogue was just lousy. They seemed to hold back in every scene instead of really going there with every character that appeared today. Gabi’s non-reaction to Fake Rafe and Stephanie’s non-reaction to Shawn and Jada immediately come to mind. And, why the hell did Fake Rafe not try to stop Gabi after she got a lock of his hair and said she was gonna have a DNA test done? And don’t even get me started on the way Kristen was written today. I’m tired of her. It’s time to send Stacy back to Y&R (and take Greg Rikaart with her) and write Kristen out for good. Btw, I wish somebody actually would throw Rachel under a bus 😂😂 The only person that I seemed to enjoy today was Belle. I liked her scenes with Brady and with EJ. She seemed very smart and I’m curious to see what’s gonna happen now that she’s figured out that EJ is up to something. I still think that they need to play up the family dynamics as part of her relationship with EJ though. That seems to be another thing that the writers are holding back on. With episodes like this, it’s no wonder Ron was fired. But it seems a few other people deserve firing as well.

Maybe if Ron Carlivati was writing it, this is how Brad/Lucas would reunite 😂😂😂

Ok, are Brad and Lucas ever gonna go on this friggin Miami trip? 😂😂😂 I’m curious about Drew/Jason though. Are they really gonna go there and make us hate Drew even more? Btw, can you imagine what the press would do in real life if a Congressman’s brother was implicated in a murder? As for Joss, I was right. Not only is she a whore, she’s a coward too. You’d think that would disqualify her as a possible WSB agent.
