The BBC releases new details on Series 10. Among them: Matt Lucas will be returning from the Christmas special, and Frank Cottrell-Boyce ("In the Forest of the Night") and Sarah Dollard ("Face the Raven") are returning to write new episodes. It begins filming next week.
  2. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Gwendoline Christie talk Jaime and Brienne.
  3. Good luck, you two!
  4. Following video game company Konami's falling-out with creative genius Hideo Kojima, his planned game Silent Hills starring Norman Reedus (and co-created by Guillermo del Toro) was cancelled. Now, Kojima has jumped to working as an independent publisher with Sony, and tonight at E3 he unveiled his new game, Death Stranding, also featuring... naked Norman Reedus.

Spinoff showrunner Patrick Ness indicates Class will have a gay lead - presumably one of the two young male stars.
  6. I'm invested in Jaime, but I think the character's fallen back the Lannister rabbit hole. Which is unfortunately realistic for the character. For me, I can still be invested while not liking where his path has taken him morally - which right now is conflicted at best.
  7. To me, Jaime is who he is - I think Edmure's conversation with him, where Edmure challenged him on his thin pretense of chivalry and then Jaime resorted to really vicious Lannister-style threats, was meant to drive that home and remind the audience. Jaime has a real bond with Brienne and he wants to be a better man (or tell himself he is), but at the same time he is still a Lannister through and through and is bound to that dysfunctional way of life and viewing the world. He probably always will be. That whole scene was meant to be a slap in the face after his quasi-romantic reunion with Brienne. It was ugly but it was also an integral part of who he is, has been ever since he threw Bran out the window. It was no coincidence that they had him recite his infamous line: "The things we do for love." I used to view Jaime's story as a redemption quest, but it became clear when he returned to King's Landing that it's never going to be that. He may do good things, he may try to be better as he tried for Brienne in this last episode, but I don't think this story ends with Jaime as a wholly noble hero. He's an antihero at best and has been since the first episode. It was sad to see that side of Jaime again but it also never really left, hasn't for a long time. I'm glad they made a specific statement about it. The rest I liked a lot. Especially Arya finally telling the Faceless Men to !@#$%^&*] off. RIP Lady Crane! Incidentally, here's an interview with Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. And one with Maisie Williams.
  8. This makes me see red. Also: Trump has revoked the Washington Post's press credentials.
  9. NYT posts a very damning expose on Trump's casino fraud. I'm really beginning to think he will not make it to November, let alone the convention.
  10. Trump wants "winners" like Tom Brady and UFC head honcho Dana White to speak at the convention. FWIW, Ben Roethlisberger has already turned him down.
  11. Trump's week gets worse: His campaign is very low on cash.
  12. He borrowed the Democratic Party and its war chest, too. Then called it corrupt and demanded it let him win.
  13. GOP: Civil War continues.
  14. Live that dream, buddy.
  15. Wow.
  16. Jack Gleeson is still adorable.
  17. I truly think he was at the HQ agonizing over conceding - which is likely what Obama ordered him to do in their recent call that evidently left Bernie and Jane Sanders sullen - in the wake of Hillary's win, the WH pointedly endorsing her nomination, and the new article where, indeed, his team is throwing him under the bus. I think he brought the whole family onstage because he intended to do that, or told someone so. I think he was pivoting towards it for part of the speech. And then he went back to stump speech, and then he refused to concede. Unbelievable. Other people think this is him laying the groundwork to begin to concede over the next week following his meeting with Obama on Thursday - I'm not so sure.
  18. He's pivoting to Trump and not allowing him to become President. Aaaand now he's back to stump speech. He is drawing this out and looks sick. He says it's not about Bernie but the people. No mention whatsoever of the Democratic Party or Clinton yet. Oh, my [!@#$%^&*] God. He's not conceding. I'm beginning to think he just decided this mid-speech. He's vowing to take it to the convention. This is insane. I would swear he decided this mid-speech. You don't bring the kids onstage and everyone and arrive 45 minutes late to not concede.
  19. Oh, boy: Aaand he's up. Entire family was onstage, he appears to be struggling. I think this is a concession, and I wonder how long it took him to finally relent. I bet it was down to the last hour.
  20. Based on that article, I think it's a toss-up as to whether anyone can get through to Sanders before the convention. But I'm hoping so. It's worth mentioning he is now 13 minutes behind schedule for speaking. Rachel Maddow is sinking her teeth into this article on MSNBC.
  21. Hillary is up around 400K or so in California. The WH apparently just released this. It reads to me like Bernie might actually, really, truly concede under Obama's orders at 1 AM EST, when he'll be speaking. Meanwhile: Yikes. Read this.
  22. Whoa: Hillary is already up on Bernie by over 20% in CA.
  23. NBC reports that Sanders is prepping to lay off half his campaign staff tomorrow. As always, a courageous estimate.
