I think it's going to implode for a lot of reasons. Trump was never prepared to go all the way and he doesn't like the responsibility, the pressure, the need for money, the concept of losing or having his failures magnified for the next several months. Even the convention is basically being thrown together with whoever he can found, including (let's say it) F-list soap stars. -
Julian Castro will be President someday. I 60% expect him to be VP. The NYT covers Trump's internal drama over choosing Pence at the last moment. Every day is a new meltdown for America's least prepared, least serious candidate. More:

Trump has no intention of being President or doing real work. I'm surprised he hasn't quit before now, and I frankly still expect him to before November.

The convention line-up includes 5 members of the Trump family, Tim Tebow and an astronaut. They're also devoting a whole night to Benghazi, which is insane.

Oh, wow. That's fantastic for her, and I was already intrigued by that series. I'm glad both she and Florencia have found a home on Netflix, I just wish people like Kelley Missal could get more too. (Others like KDP, I suspect, are doing just fine not being the round the clock family breadwinner after decades on the job, and she picked up a fair bit of horror work post-OLTL.)

Thanks to our own @alexisfan07 for finding this. Sherilyn Fenn talks to a fan podcast. She suggests Lynch might want to do more if the show is well-received, but it's difficult to determine whether that's his idea or her opinion/hopes. Everything I've heard so far suggests the two(?) seasons already filmed are a complete story.

Michelle Fairley (Catelyn) is going to be appearing in Series 2 of Sky Atlantic's excellent thriller series Fortitude, a mystery set in the Arctic. She'll apparently be playing the wife of Dennis Quaid, who's another new character. The show features a slew of Brit TV and some GOT alumni, including Richard Dormer (Beric Dondarrian). Series 1 aired on Pivot in the U.S. and is now streaming on Amazon Prime, I highly recommend it.

Season 7 directors confirmed. Alan Taylor returns from his unfortunate stint in movies. Miguel Sapochnik ("Hardhome" and the last two episodes of this season) is taking the year off apparently, hopefully back in S8.

Yeah, that's just one reason I have my doubts on the now repeatedly stated 13. I think the actors and showrunners have both suggested that number, but I just can't see it being that fast. HBO aside, I think the story is too sprawling. There's dealing with Daenerys' arrival and the Mad Queen Cersei, then there's the White Walkers. Unless they intend to double-size some episodes...
