Gemma Chan - from The Waters of Mars and much more since - will play a Kree villain in Captain Marvel.
  2. I don't think these elections will be a cakewalk but Politico's bread and butter has always been gossip and concern trolling Democrats while leaning right. They evolved out of Mark Halperin's playbook at the Note.
  3. God! Why am I not more surprised??
  4. Chandler Riggs says he's okay. I'm glad for him but this season will probably be the end of the line for me, and I don't intend to watch it much til it hits Netflix. I think killing him off is pretty much the last straw for me, and I expect for a number of people as Lauren Cohan seems to be heading out.
  5. Manafort's trying to hold out for a pardon, but this just turns the heat up. Even if he got it - which I highly doubt, Trump has no loyalty to anyone - NY would just file charges. There is one other reason my dumb ass forgot: The Russians will kill him.
  6. #BoycottNRA is trending and many NRA partners (MetLife, etc.) are pulling out.
  7. Chrysta Bell is doing a Reddit AMA in the Twin Peaks subreddit on the 28th:
  8. Ignacio Serrichio (GH, Y&R) and Parker Posey (ATWT) are in Netflix's Lost in Space revival come April. Serrichio is Major Don West, and Posey is (brilliantly) Dr. Smith. I am a sucker for LIS in general but I am watching for the great Molly Parker as Maureen.
  9. As Graham pointed out, from our very own:
  10. The kids are very good on social media and much more adept than the right wing - Emma Gonzalez and David Hogg are especially formidable. I think they will outlast the trolls. Case in point, this kid dunking on O'Reilly:
  11. I remember another Reggie. It was not Michael Jordan, so it must have been Chadwick.
  12. And now, the clean-up:
  13. I hope you're right. I'm starting to think he's tone-deaf enough to run again. Exactly.
  14. An interesting/frustrating piece on the show's return, with Roseanne of course running her mouth but that's Roseanne: If this is how it's handled I can probably live with it provided the show is actually good: I do really like what they have to say about the issues they apparently are exploring during the season.
  15. Roseanne is just dissembling to avoid acknowledging her mistake these days. Like a lot of old people. Speaking of old people making mistakes!
  16. Looks like Lauren Cohan is checking out for ABC.
  17. Episodes 5 and 6 of S1 really justify this show's existence and reminded me a lot of early Roseanne, especially the latter episode - like the one where Roseanne gained and lost the secretarial job in the same episode. The drama and comedy were in perfect proportion and no one does pathos like Justina Machado. It's also very Norman Lear. I'll probably finish S1 in a couple days when my work is over, a rarity for me as I like to make binge shows last a bit. I do hope it gets picked up. I'll be shocked if it isn't as the critics love it and frankly, diversity-wise it's an important feather in Netflix's cap.
