I think Netflix still does a lot of great work. But like HBO and other emergent giants, they are caught between what they market and what they hope to be. They can't have it all and continue to claim to be for the little guy and the biggest gun while operating like a basic network. They don't have an equilibrium when they expect ODAAT fans to binge it all in a couple days so it can compete with, I dunno, Daredevil in the past, or Stranger Things (which I love). It's apples and oranges. Holding it all to the same standard is hypocrisy. It's the fault of the model.

Yes. This has become much more prevalent for them in the last couple years, and I deeply resent it. I don't binge shows that quickly because I like to make them last, especially when turnaround for production is much longer than it used to be. I understand the nature of the uncertain new media landscape and their evolving business model requires constant engagement but guess what - that's not my fault. I don't mind bingeing when there is a large backlog and more coming soon. But I will never do more than 5-6 episodes of a show within a few days or a week. I don't think that allows time to process and sit with it.

I think she had some bit part. I actually like Ocean's 8, but everything she's a part of is tainted by association. Those videos are insane. I can't believe she's got Neil Marshall in her clutches.

The right loves that we do this, which is why they get in on the ground floor defending Chelsea. Folks see Don Jr. on side A or B and react blindly. That's how you end up with grifters like Shaun King trying to see which way the wind is blowing before picking these lazy sides, saying he is still 'processing' the Chelsea situation. It's all games. And meanwhile, no one remembers that this all started because Ilhan Omar can't stop talking like an antisemite.

It's not just that dude angry at her. This woman accosted Chelsea at a vigil and said she was responsible for Christchurch for criticizing Omar.

What the [!@#$%^&*] is SonyCrackle? I feel like that's a convo they'd have to have up front given the background of this show (especially at ABC given their black-ish controversy, which led to them getting dinged by critics and having Kenya Barris begin a slow exit from the network) and either agree to terms or not at all. I don't feel FX or whatever is a good place for it. Who watches sitcoms on those unless they're reruns? I feel it should be on network or streaming.

Not at all. But I'm starting to think a network looking to keep burnishing its progressive cred (ABC, etc.) might be best.

I think the equivalent for ODAAT would be maybe a mini-season 4 of 4-6 episodes. Which I could take. But again, if a network or other outlet is willing to invest in the show and give it another full season or more a la B99 I say go for it. It was so sad seeing the kid who plays Alex saying he thought the show would run forever. I'd be happy if it could get one or two more seasons, which is a very respectable run in this day and age (but then, so is three seasons).

Damn, now I'm legit worried this'll keep LL out of the final season of FH. That'd be a shame, but at the same time I have no sympathy for her and if you read these docs it just makes you angrier.
