  1. It's crazy. Ric also should run for DA or Mayor again, maybe usurp Laura (for a while, not forever) while married to Ava.
  2. It's easier to do with a fourth party and having them both swap partners for awhile. Which is what I'd do, but I'm not that wedded to it.
  3. I had the idea of him coming in posing as Drew's latest assistant, then gaining information to finagle his way further. He would have higher aims than Sonny (especially as I'd eventually reveal Justus to be alive).
  4. It's definitely something I've had in mind. In addition to adding a prodigal Ward (Justus and Faith Rosco's son, something rumored last year that was probably rubbish) as a scheming social climber for Trina. Sort of a saintly girl with a bad boy, someone who could be a credible rival to an eventual Spencer return down the road. The feisty, ambitious Emma would then gravitate towards the Ward boy and they would all switch partners for awhile. Shades of Sonny/Brenda/Miguel/Lily but hopefully more successful lol.
  5. I would just keep him as a more visible supporting player for awhile. I'd more inclined to showcase Jake for a lot of reasons, as well as the natural rivalry with Danny. Cameron I would also have to figure out at a certain time, whether or not William Lipton needs his job back. I wouldn't want to upset the apple cart re: Gio, Emma, Trina, etc. just yet. Unless of course you tried Cameron and Trina plus someone else, I suppose.
  6. They would clearly tank the show rather than ever put Jason back with Liz, let alone give Liz major story without an OLTL star to prop up. I lost interest in that pairing 15+ years ago so I'm good. But I'd still make HW's Jake bi and play out the depths of his past trauma. Sure, it's two LGBT kids in one family! Whatever! I'd reduce Aidan's role for a few years, age him back down a little and also have him be a daffier artsy kid - something really unique, and a bit more flamboyant. Overcompensating daredevil Danny I would play with wallflower Georgie. The wild girl he'd want would end up with sweet Rocco.
  7. She also drunkenly(?) rambled on the other day about how she and Rocco (or "Ben" as she called him again) could be close if only Lulu would get out of the way. Not exactly a great shift!
  8. I would beg to differ. I haven't seen much fixing personally.
  9. It is soothing to my soul to see even GH twitter (which was lukewarm on her at best outside of the diehards, and really turned on her re: Lulu and Rocco) admit Britt's return has flopped. I suppose sentiment could turn around if Steve delivers another hot sex scene with KT but that'll only do so much. I agree that Jason has been evolving this past year and Britt not so much. I have said before I think Frank cares much less for Britt and KT than he does the family like Obrecht or Nathan; bringing back Britt was a means to an end IMO after multiple pairing attempts for Jason had flopped and the character was in crisis. Now that's not working either and Thiebaud has caused drama or walked out on the show multiple times, which must irk him on some level. I can see him cutting her loose in the next year-plus. Or maybe I'm wrong again and we'll be stuck with her as a lifer. But I don't think so.
  10. Over some dogs! Again I ask, what animal will Rocco selflessly feed and care for next? Where will his reign of terror end?
  11. Woof. They're re-airing TG's last episode on New Year's Day. It's not great!
  12. I have neither the time nor energy this season to keep tabs on both this administration and the swiftly collapsing Bari Weiss regime at CBS News, but the segment she pulled from 60 Minutes at the eleventh hour about the CECOT prison (over staff objections and ensuing revolt) has leaked online. For those of us in the States many mirrors are popping up everywhere.
  13. Very sad. He was so excellent on The Wire, in It and Sinister and many other things. He had a difficult life but was so talented. @DRW50
  14. Generally that's true but I think Kimberly and Sydney had evolved enough to be functional. It was the budget cuts and skewed priorities at Melrose post-S4 that did Cross and Leighton in.
  15. A Kenny and Ginger spinoff? Can I turn the gun on myself?
  16. It was the right thing to do, though I believe it was a Malone move. I was amazed they kept Cat Hickland through that, seeing as Lindsay had a downward spiral and murdered Sam sort of by accident while in a psychotic fugue. It was very believable to me frankly given their history, but somehow they pulled her out of that hole to keep her around though the character was fundamentally altered. Laurence Lau might make a fine Jeff Webber, come to think of it. I don't have any issue with Willow doing it and getting off if it serves plot function and her continued mayhem. The marriage and their twisted relationship would ensure her freedom, for now. My issue would be putting it on Drew simply to blame everything on him and keep any profound new plot shift - like Willow fully breaking bad - to a minimum, which this show too often does as is.
  17. I think Timon Durrett is excellent. The rest vary but I have no major objections other than to Ben Gavin and Alex Alegria.
  18. Drew setting it up himself is the kind of goofball shít this show would do to make sure he remains the equivalent of a Scooby Doo villain. Still one of the strongest organic elements of the show, but they keep leaning into him doing pure forced nonsense like hoarding the Quartermaine belongings! Like he's the Grinch!
  19. Much like Passions before it, a show would have to be purest Chernobyl before I would rate anything lower than B&B today. Even DAYS has come up.
  20. I don't think that's true. GH had no problem mentioning Britt, Luke, Bobbie, etc. at varying points from January to November of last year. Britt was one of the first things that came up when Jason and Carly reconnected in March '24, and Luke and Bobbie were discussed at length by Lucky and Lulu.
  21. I actually thought DG was surprisingly smarmy and sinister. It reminded me of his early Kevin Buchanan at OLTL, where Michael Malone wisely leaned into the mess JFP and others had made of the character (a philandering manwhore sleeping through multiple women in the same family) by having Kevin return to town a schmoozing politician out to bed his wife's last relative. There was a darker edge to it here for me based on the situation and who Peter was, and also someting in his eyes. It's giving Scott Peterson. But I could be projecting wildly based on the DiMera background, esp as Peter may well be some sort of red herirng.
  22. This isn't news. It's a shítty clickbait site making a suggestion for a tribute episode and then framing the headline as 'ABC announcing an airdate' for an imaginary tribute episode that doesn't exist. ABC has announced no such thing, they're literally just making stuff up for hits.
  23. They were friendly. Lots of people were friendly with little Spencer. I remember how much he used to wail about her: "Bwitt! Bwitt!" But he did the same with "Unca Sonny" and their relationship wasn't that deep in the long run either. Britt and Spencer's scenes after he got SORASed were not that plentiful. If it comes up in conversation I have nothing against it. They cared for each other. But it was not some incredibly central relationship in either of their lives that the show is somehow glossing over. It may be important to you, but it's not what the rest of us see. And it's not something Van Etten would try to obscure either. He came up under Ron Carlivati, who created Britt and molded and favored little Spencer. CVE clearly adores Britt and I don't see any indication that he dislikes Spencer. It's just not that deep.
  24. Boy did I read this title wrong.
