  1. I never saw any of that on GL, so I can't comment. LOL According to a recent interview, Richard Eden (Brick) and Jane Sibbett (Jane) did not get along off-screen at all: http://pierin26santabarbara.blogspot.com/2012/05/exclusive-and-unusual-interview-with.html
  2. To each his/her own!!
  3. I found a 1996 clip of Robin Wright (then Robin Wright-Penn) from June 1996 on Jay Leno, complete with a clip from SB: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xw2l0b_exclusive-video-interview-with-robin-wright-about-kelly-capwell_fun
  4. Victoria Lane - now SHE was even more of a clingy mess than Santana!!!
  5. I thought Margaret Michaels was miscast, because she didn't look or sound Hispanic. She was indeed very pretty, and I think she would have been fine as another character. My favorite Santana was the first one, Ava Lazar. Her Santana was a spitfire, independent and had a backbone, and you could see why men from Mason to Cruz (pre-Eden) wanted her. Gina Gallego seems like such a sweetheart from all the interviews and articles I've read, but it's true that her Santana was a clingy mess. I haven't seen enough of Wanda de Jesus yet to make an informed opinion.
  6. It was indeed Wanda de Jesus. I recall reading somewhere else that when the role of Santana was being resurrected, the Dobsons wanted to re-hire Gina Gallego, but were overruled by the network.
  7. Thanks!! Thanks. That's a shame that the part didn't last long. It would have been cool to see her butt heads with fellow lawyer Cass.
  8. Cool - what year was that family tree from?
  9. I think he is. I know Ernest was also a Scientologist, but I'm not sure if he is one anymore. The late Fred Berry became a Baptist minister before he passed.
  10. I was going to say the same thing. He looks great - barely changed at all.
  11. Between stints on GL? Was she on any other soaps?
  12. Let's hope the folks at TV One are reading this.
  13. I didn't even know Rebecca Hollen was even on ATWT.
  14. The Cleveland Press - from my hometown, and a paper that went under in 1982. Thanks for sharing.
  15. Think those outfits are busy enough? LOL
  16. I second that emotion!! All were great programs!!
  17. We can only hope!! Plus, it would be fun to see how he would interact with Amaro, Rollins and Barba, who all joined the cast after he left. Maybe Stabler could come back as a witness in some capacity. My feeling is that Stabler felt so guilty over shooting that girl in the squadroom in his final episode that he couldn't make himself come back there at all. So this could be a way for him to face those demons as well as facing Liv again as well.
  18. That was a terrific episode, and Ernest, Haywood and Danielle all look terrific. It's nice to know that all three of them are still tight. I hope they do more profiles on TV shows.
  19. If he even came back for ONE episode, that would bring a lot of closure to not only Benson but to the audience. But with Meloni tied down to a new Fox sitcom, he may not be available. We'll see.
  20. Nope - Joe was killed off in March 1985 and Amy was killed off in September 1986. Marisa and Jade just basically faded into the background - Missy's final airdate on SB was in August 1985 and a couple of months later, she got the DAYS gig.
  21. Everyone was still there. MA was playing Joe when the dad was killed in the earthquake in November 1984.
  22. I think that Vietnam/Mei-Ling story was dropped after the strike. If I had a been an NBC daytime viewer back then, I would not have been happy with two back-to-back Vietnam PSTD stories. At least David Forsyth of AW had really served, so he lent authenticity. As for Eden and Cruz, that was definitely one of their happiest periods together, though they also seemed happy with their kids around. Today (3/14) is the 47th birthday of Melissa Brennan Reeves, best known as DAYS' Jennifer Horton, but who got her start on SB as part of the original cast as Jade Perkins. I couldn't get over how much the actors playing the Perkins family at the outset looked so much alike: Dane Witherspoon, Kerry Sherman and Missy all had the blond/light brown hair, fair skin and blue eyes, as did Valorie Armstrong, who played their mom, Marisa Perkins. The only one of them who really didn't resemble the others was the dad. Also, that's another reason why Mark Arnold didn't work as a recast Joe - with his dark brown hair, dark brown eyes and olive complexion, he didn't look like any of them, which was a bit jarring. This is not to put down Mark Arnold at all - he did come in with a solid daytime pedigree, after spending three and a half years on EON as Gavin Wylie. Post-SB, he went back East for a role on OLTL, which I think was his final soap role to date.
  23. Really? I had always thought she had been fired from RH. In any case, she made the right choice by going back out West and joining SB, because she was great as Gina.
  24. We all knew this was coming - look out, Benson!! http://insidetv.ew.com/2014/03/12/pablo-schreiber-svu-exclusive/
