  1. Yup, that's the movie. I only saw it once, when it first came out in the theater in late 2001. I actually don't remember what he did in the movie, just that he was in it.
  2. Same here. Remember his cameo in Shallow Hal?
  3. Tony Robbins is the next to open his big yap...and is now backpedaling. 😠 https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.washingtonpost.com/amphtml/news/arts-and-entertainment/wp/2018/04/08/tony-robbins-suggested-metoo-was-about-victimhood-now-hes-apologizing/
  4. What about "Ireland" in 1995? Where did they tape the outdoor Marty/Patrick scenes?
  5. Getting back to Leslie Ray, here's a bio which explains how she went from a NYC soap actress to a producer/writer for sitcoms in LA: http://www.kristinmartinmedia.com/our-team.html
  6. The soldier boyfriend was played by Cyril O'Reilly, who starred opposite Melissa Gilbert in the 1981 TV movie remake of Splendor in the Grass. According to Melissa Gilbert's autobiography, he was also her, ahem, first in real life.
  7. She's sung a few times as Stacy Wells on The Doctors on Retro TV. That's definitely the same voice. Speaking of Leslie Ray, here's how she went from a NYC soap actress into a writer/producer for sitcoms in LA: http://www.kristinmartinmedia.com/our-team.html
  8. Here's an...interesting commercial featuring Leslie Ray (Babs Micelli, 1973-74):
  9. I know Felicity LaFortune was a fan favorite on RH, so how did AMC fans react to her?
  10. You all make valid points - I guess there's no way we can tell for sure if it's real.
  11. It was very clever for them to use "Evil Ways" and "Lyin' Eyes", because Penny was in the scenes when both songs were played in the background. Too funny. Andy is now gone for good, yay!!! Kudos to the show for bringing back Meg Mundy as Mona. I love how Mona has Karen’s number...and is basically the only person who is able to strike fear in her. We're actually rounding third and headed home with Karen, as Laryssa Lauret left TD for the third and final time in November 1975. I'm also loving Lauren White and MJ. LW is now a jazz singer with several albums available on iTunes and Amazon. In addition, she is a producer of Homeland on Showtime. Her husband, Alex Gansa, is that show's creator and executive producer/showrunner.
  12. Thank you for the thoughtful answer! I just wish I had been old enough to watch it the first time around. Why didn't things work out between Maggie and Dave? Didn't he marry one of Maeve and Johnny's granddaughters as soon as their divorce was final? I recently wrote to Geoffrey and Cali (Timmins) Pierson (Frank #4 and Maggie), and they both kindly autographed the pictures I sent. What a classy couple.
  13. Did you like him with Maggie?
  14. I feel the same way. She was very adept at playing comedy and did well in the sitcom format.
  15. Is there any way to prove it's real? People on the soap groups on FB have been questioning its validity as well.
  16. I wrote a letter to Leslie Ray, and she said that Johnny Carson even made fun of her commercial on The Tonight Show! She took getting roasted by the King of Late Night back then in stride. 😎 Switching gears, I am surprised how many popular songs of the time have been played on the reruns - especially since they got to the 1975 episodes. I wonder if SFM (who owns the rights to the show) and/or Retro TV have had to pay any licensing fees. So far, the popular songs, the versions by the original artists, that I've heard in these episodes from 1975 have been (in no particular order): "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" by Roberta Flack "Only Yesterday" by The Carpenters "Evil Ways" by Santana "Bless You" by John Lennon "Hollywood Waltz" by The Eagles "Lyin' Eyes" by The Eagles I think there are a couple of songs I'm forgetting, but I'm not complaining. It proves that the show's music department was paying attention to current popular music!! 😎
  17. Thank you all. I actually meant a remote out of NYC - like Greece, Hong Kong, exotic locales when soaps actually had budgets.
  18. Cool! I assumed that he had retired from acting years ago.
  19. Maybe they fell out?
  20. Here's Leslie Ray (Stacy Wells) in a Pledge commercial from the 1970s:
  21. Had the show gone on, I wonder if the newly-returned Maggie would have come between Delia and Roger.
  22. Interesting... https://www.libertynation.com/hollywood-sex-scandals-conveniently-forgotten/
