We'll probably never know the whole truth. I think MW made Sheridan a very credible heroine in the show's first 4-5 years on the air. Thank you, @DramatistDreamer! This is why wearing a mask is so important. Several caregivers I have heard of were not wearing masks and they tested positive. I hate wearing a mask as much as everyone else, but I do it because it's been proven to make a difference.
