  1. That's great! Is that your channel? I am so curious why Italy seems to be the only country that aired Y&R episodes before 1986. I soooo wish I could find them. There was someone on YouTube who claims to sell Italian episodes, but they didn't respond to me.
  2. Thanks! Strange that the episodes are different in length.
  3. Oh I know, just musing on my part. Sony is so frustrating that I fear even if Y&R were to be cancelled, they would not let up on the copyright.
  4. I really wish that the Paley center would have made episodes online during the pandemic, lol. I'd have been all over that. I recently read all the SOD recaps from that time and Nikki goes through quite a lot. The ordeal apparently lasted for over a week. I'm sure you've read this, but when she realizes who he is, she tries to run away and gets to a cabin to hide, then pretends she was scared of the woods and is glad Edwards saved her, then he catches on that she knows he's the stalker, drags her out... she runs away and finds campers in the woods and begs for help, but Edward comes along and tells them she's just high on drugs... Nikki doesn't know what else to do, so she asks to meet his mother... and then we get to these scenes. I'd love to see how it was filmed, because we rarely get to see any action scenes pre-1982, and I don't think they did much shooting outside in the 70s at all. I wonder if this is all cheesy outdoor sets or if they did something more cinematic like when Brooks almost drowned.
  5. Wow, that's super rare! I guess this is right after she meets "mother"?
  6. This must be a country thing because they don't show up as deleted for me (in the US). I uploaded these in the vault already (October 10, 1988 and January 24, 1989). There are also a couple of others that were newer or already available in English (July 3, 1989, July 8, 1992 clip, and May 31, 2007 clip), if you want I will upload them too. I really hope someone will come along and fill in more 1988 and 1989 French episodes to fill in the gaps. There was that wonderful angel a few months ago who uploaded Phillip's death in French. It is great to see the scenes even if they are not in English.
  7. I always laugh when that sexy Ridge saxophone plays. Back when characters had distinct personalities. Ronn Moss isn't a great actor but he really was irreplaceable in the role. I felt something watching him, whether it was amusement or annoyance at Ridge being a jerk.
  8. That was way too short! What great chemistry and genuine love for the show from all of them. Loved Susan nagging Ronn about not visiting her! I think KKL sells those "Slut From the Valley" shirts so it was a form of advertising.
  9. OMG, what an amazing find I noticed in the comments some people are asking if they have other old episodes but I didn't see a response, damn!
  10. Wow! Tomorrow the official B&B YT channel will stream a reunion with Katherine Kelly Lang, John McCook, Ronn Moss (!!!), and Susan Flannery (!!!!!!). It was filmed May 24, 2020 for Italian TV. Maybe this is old news, but I had no idea.
  11. That's how I felt during the classic episodes last summer. My favorite look and feel is that classic 90s old Hollywood throwback style, but that wouldn't work today. Early 2000s Y&R still looked like Y&R while being modernized, and could work today with some tweaking. Thanks! I think I fixed it, but can you check?
  12. I think they are really the 10th and 11th, because that's how they are listed on archive.org. We have another conflict, the uploads the vault for 2001-08-08 and 2001-08-09 are the same.
  13. Absolutely, and that's understandable, but what is disappointing is the writers don't take that carte blanche and craft interesting dialogue. You can make a good show with just people sitting around talking, like InTreatment on HBO (haven't seen the new version but the original was great).
  14. @Bundy1965 I have these from your list, I'll upload them to the vault. I hope someone else has the rest because I need those too. 2008-10-24 2008-01-02 - LQ 2007-12-03 - LQ 2005-10-28 2005-05-25 - partial 2005-04-04 - partial/French/English 2005-03-30 2005-03-24 2005-03-21
  15. There were also several scenes explaining how much he loves Mac & Cheese. 😄 Edit: It would actually be an interesting storyline if his parents plied him with sweets to spoil him to make up for the lack of a stable father figure and then argued over who is to blame for his health issues later. So of course that will never happen.
  16. RIP. Thank you to those of you sharing these wonderful memories, clips, and social media posts. Here's hoping Jane Eliot will come back for a tribute.
  17. I remember tuning out of ATWT after some godawful scene with Carly trapped in a toy chest hamming it up while the house burned down. It was all BIG! STUFF! EVERY! DAY!
  18. I thought the baby shower hypothetical was very revealing. It's a complete misunderstanding of the genre. The idea of a bomb under the bassinet strikes me as stupid, cheap, garbage, plot-oriented writing, not interesting or exciting. It's the type of writing that made me give up on certain shows over the years. But I'd totally watch a baby shower where the characters are written in character, exchanging good barbs and knowing glances... imagine B&B's Stephanie being forced to throw one for Brooke. That would be fantastic television. I'd be riveted. Another thing that struck me was when she said she came to GL and there was a producer that helped her a lot because they knew the history of the show very well and really helped her understand the layout of the show. Then when she went to AW she brought that person with her because they were so great. That does nothing for AW and AW's fans, who want someone that understands THEIR show.
  19. @Broderick great stuff, I can picture it all in my head, hah!
  20. They published a statement on twitter about the Marguerite Ray situation. I'm cringing and angry for both actresses.
  21. It's been uploaded to the Soap Vault (link for anyone who needs it https://twitter.com/yrvault?lang=en)
  22. Interesting! I've been rewatching Mad Men and a soap with this title becomes a plot point in Season 6 so I'd been looking for info on it but it doesn't exist. In previous seasons they had made reference to ATWT and Dark Shadows, so I was surprised they chose to incorporate a fake soap opera instead of a real one, given the attention to detail. Probably just a coincidence as this is such a generic soap opera title.
