  1. Close - it's May 15 and May 16, 1995. Both recaps are here. I'm not sure about the episode #s, though. https://groups.google.com/g/rec.arts.tv.soaps.cbs/c/4ZP-XxNpTAw/m/vAQr3xCfT1oJ It's great that they listened! I wonder when they'll do the next drop. It is better this way.
  2. The Official YouTube just published a huge batch of episodes - through June 8, 1987 (Episode 56). Time will tell if they got wise to people wanting to binge watch or if they just made a mistake. The exciting thing is once they get up to July maybe we'll finally find out the dates for each episode number (due to July 1987 preemptions). Although, once they get up to those dates a lot of newbie fans will complain that there are missing episodes because they won't realize. They should have titled them by episode number instead.
  3. Welcome! That's awesome news. I was just thinking about Cala classics recently and how the uploader disappeared. It's great that there's someone else with access now! It sounds like unlike videoland there's no archive so no way to get those missing episodes? But still would be amazing if you could capture them going forward. I would suggest maybe to try and capture the daily episode and have the weekend marathon as a backup in case there's a problem, but if all you can do is the marathon that's perfectly fine, believe me we TRULY appreciate anything someone can give. I haven't had the chance to check out the videos yet. I would suggest using Handbrake to reencode. It's free. They have a web optimized button to check off which generates a high quality video with a reasonable file size. It would help to know exactly what your process is to capture them. I'm not familiar with ts files but Handbrake usually works with everything I've tried. I'm definitely not an expert or anything like that, but if you want to send me a PM I can do some research and try to help you figure out a solution. Welcome! That's awesome news. 4. That is the risk/reward though.... if you don't share the link, it's less likely to get deleted, but it will always be the same couple of people uploading. If you share the link more, maybe you will find someone who saved those collections from 2007 and will upload them to the vault. For example a poster here reached out to Nikki N and she ended up sharing quite a bit of good stuff. I try to leave messages to people who seem to be fans and would have things to share. I found some really nice people that way. It's also extremely important when finding new stuff to download it right away, back it up and share it with trusted individuals who can also save the videos for the community. It's much better to have multiple people having that set of videos on their hard drive just in case something happens. That's why the Vault is so brilliant, God forbid it does go down, there would many people here who have the full set of 1987-1992 saved and we could always piece it back together again. Yeah I usually ask people to PM/email me (since YouTube doesn't have PM). The other thing I do is send the link to the Vault's twitter page https://twitter.com/yrvault, so they can see it's a real thing, cause I feel like if I just send that "bit.ly" link people might think it's a scam lol.
  5. Good find! And I noticed that French page has 5591 so I checked the English version and that is also partial. WTF! Why would the B&B channel name them "Official Full Episodes" if they are clips ranging from 6-10 minutes? I knew there were episodes missing but I thought at least what was there was complete... but at least we have the missing pieces in French (didn't see 5591 on the English playlist either). It was great. Brooke's character was already too fargone after she slept with Thorne. It made sense to go to the next level by having her screw Deacon. There were was no dignity to lose. Classic B&B soapy stuff.
  6. You're welcome and thanks for the Italian episodes! Love them. This is good that you bring this up, I never realized those episodes from the official YT were incomplete. That's so weird. Some of those videos might be on that big playlist. Here it is again: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLBf2sqMgWduMSUUEhqZtzK4kCEOXZNAP5 I see #5592 is also incomplete... ugh. But that one doesn't seem to be on the playlist. I found #5593 (June 25, 2009) #5595 (June 29) #5597 (July 1) #5598 (July 2) on there and will download them. The quality is not nearly as good but at least they are complete). I might have missed some others. I encourage others to take a better look. If someone could check to see what videos are not complete that would be a huge job but worthwhile. I'm not optimistic this channel will remain online forever so it would be good to get anything we need now. It would be helpful if anyone could either upload them to the vault or at least cross-reference the episode numbers/dates and post the direct link to the YT videos here, since the playlist is so hard to search.
  7. Cool Whatever anyone can offer is always appreciated even if it's only one episode. It helps us get that little bit closer to the complete set.
  8. Wow lol I uploaded a couple of those. I hope this doesn't dissuade others from uploading into the Vault. All added. I also added #5455 since I noticed it was there in French only. About the quality of the videos, someone could redub the better quality foreign videos with the English audio using avidemux. It's very time consuming to do it because the episode needs to be split up into parts and each part sycned.
  9. Thank you @BoldKara! That's really helpful to narrow it down. I grabbed the first four episodes on the list and will try to grab the 2008 and 2009 ones tonight. I thought we had those years from the official youtube, but those must be the missing ones from that channel. What do you think of those 1993 Taylor Edits, is it the same stuff Nikki N uploaded already?
  10. Hi guys, I found this playlist with over 1100 videos. Maybe someone wants to go through this and see if there's anything we don't have https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLBf2sqMgWduMSUUEhqZtzK4kCEOXZNAP5 From the looks of it we have most of these, but I just don't have the time to go through all these videos. And this user has playlists for basically every soap, btw, so I don't know how long the channel will stay up.
  11. I feel like this is the case on most internet forums and social media. Y&R and B&B, despite having the highest ratings, don't have as much online activity as GH and DAYS. Maybe the audience skews older.
  12. I'm not sure if you all have seen this, but I came across this collection of 96 radio episodes of GL from 1950! https://archive.org/details/1950-11-24-886-bill-gloria-talk/1950-07-26+-+797)+Stays+with+Charlotte.mp3 Edit: Another set of 100 episodes https://archive.org/details/otr_guidinglight
  13. I recently added some Decemeber 1995 episodes around the time of Blade's funeral in the vault.
  14. She's 10 years old than Richard Burgi, but in that photo she looks like she's the same age, so playing his mother would be a stretch, not that they wouldn't do it.
  15. I'm pleasantly surprised that those mentions actually amounted to something!
  16. Imagine submitting this as his Emmy reel and finally winning after 35 years lol. Honestly at least B&B manages to put something on my screen that actually gets a reaction from me which is more than I can say about the other soaps right now. Someone on another forum suggested Brad Bell was inspired by this movie where Eric Braeden plays the role of the stud.
  17. Some of the newer posters here had mentioned they never get the registration email and then they had to find the email of this board's admins and send them an email. I just don't remember what that email address was. I found this post but it's from 2013, so I don't know if this info is still correct. Maybe one of our newer posters can chime in:
  18. I thought when they brought Marcus on they said that Beth and Storm had helped her with the adoption, and that really doesn't make sense compared to what we see onscreen in Season 1. It's ambiguous whether Donna is a virgin, but she's clearly inexperienced and is very concerned about what her family will think about her living with a guy. Welcome @Flnrod I totally agree with you about the recasts. Since I had never watched the early years I always thought the recasts of Donna and Katie were good, because to me Donna and Katie were just these random women that showed up for Brooke's weddings and sometimes babysat the kids. Now that I have seen the actual fleshed out characters, I miss the originals. Episode 956 has sound for me. You might want to try a different player like VLC. But it's good you brought it up so that if anyone else has issues, we can figure it out.
  19. It makes sense for them to just be recurring and have the out to take any project that comes along. I don't really consider them as having "left the show." They will probably be on more often than Lauren, Michael, Christine, and maybe Chloe and Kevin, so whatever, really.
  20. I can relate to that cause I remember when they aired the Christmas Classics for 1987 and 1988 and I saved those VHS, while I was taping over/deleting the daily show... and then eventually there came a time that Christmas 1995 and Nick & Sharon's 1996 were aired as "Soap Classics" which I hadn't saved at the time they aired, and eventually realized all of the 90 were classic and I should have somehow saved them. 🙃
  21. Looking through the old Usenet/Google posts, the people in the early 90s definitely considered the stuff from 10 years before (like Victor and Nikki's early years) as "ancient history"/"good old days" which is interesting cause right now I consider anything from 2010 "very recent." But there was not as much info on the internet then and no clips so I guess as you watched it you kind of forgot the details unless you read about them in a magazine. And if you went on vacation or something during a big story, you just missed it. I feel like people are too hard on the 90s Nick/Sharon stuff. Once they sorted out the recasts, it was a solid, classic Bill Bell good vs. evil story with the suffering heroine. It has almost a Chris and Snapper vibe where your hero and heroine are basically good people who stay together for a long time and deal with some of the same issues (rape, long lost child), and there was the class element, and the disability element with Sharon's mother. I agree with most here that Joshua Morrow was miscast as Victor's heir, and isn't a strong actor, but it did work out with Nick being more like his mother and that fueling some of the issues between Victor and Nick.
