  1. Jabot needs @ChickenNuggetz92 to provide some tech support and create a Jabot Vault. 🤣
  2. Yeah lol this is the perfect example of writing to the actor's strength, he did that big dumb look perfectly, that was right up his alley.
  3. This was a scene I watched unspoiled and was truly blown away. The show was still so solid then.
  4. That's frightening. The one about Aunt Jordan is basically paraphrasing one of his interviews. Oh, and he also got all excited when he learned Ashley used to be crazy in the 80s so wrote the DID story for her (totally different from the mental health problems she had). That culminated in another fake remote in France.
  5. The way JG writes is basically: JG sees some old movie and decides he wants to do a story where Nikki is kidnapped. He asks the Y&R historian what villains would have a grudge against Nikki and is told Eve Howard. He's down for it until he's told Eve is dead... no problem, he'll give her a sister, how about Colleen Zenk? And then when he hears Victoria was married to Eve's son and they had a DEAD BABY, he's like, jackpot... A decision is made to hire Trevor St. John. He wants to make him some kind of sarcastic business tycoon with strong ties to the canvas, so they choose to make him Tucker McCall, despite the totally wrong age and vibe. A decision is made to hire Billy Flynn. He decides he'll be a Gatsby type character with a great love and he's become a crypto bro to win her back and also something with AI would be good because business. So he asks around what male characters are there who used to be on the show whose love interest is still on canvas, and they decide it will be Cane trying to win Lily back, and then try to figure out a static set where everyone can convene (contract cast only with the recurring characters taking a late train in). A decision is made to hire Roger Howarth and JG decides he will be part of a noir storyline (whatever that means). He has to be a villain and it has to be big. It would be great if it somehow involved rape. So someone reads wikipedia and explains to him there was this guy Matt Clark who raped Sharon, actually tried to rape her a bunch of times, and then died... ok, perfect! We'll bring Noah back and have this big splashy car accident but to make it more mysterious, we won't show it, and then we'll have him all bandaged, and Sharon can read him books and stuff (more literary references to show how smart he is), and we can have Claire randomly in LA to meet up with Nick and Sharon, and Holden will randomly know these people... we'll add another soap actress to show how big this is...
  6. And you know what they didn't do? Run around proclaiming it was "noir," lol.
  7. Does JG understand that there can be more than one copy of a program, and when you "give" someone the program, it doesn't mean you no longer have it and the other person can destroy it?
  8. I'm watching classic eps from 1991 where they are in their adorable newlywed phase, so I love that they're back together.
  9. @DRW50 that's cute. Those production values are where Y&R is heading! On topic, I watched the Tim Burton Dark Shadows movie to get in the Halloween mood and it was just terrible!
  10. Cool, I have literally been waiting for someone to make this!
  11. Even Esther dissed her the other day!
  12. Its great how they set our expectations so low that we get excited about staring at a different background for a month while they sit and talk about nothing!
  13. And... it looks better. They made it look much larger than the corner they use when it's in GC. They must have set it up with the intention to use it for a while.
  14. Nevermind, someone beat me to posting the link. I actually wonder if the new sets are the ones we saw already, the bar and the hospital, which is much better than the GC hospital.
  15. Live now! I NEVER watch these things live.
  16. I accidentally got spoiled as to the person who showed up at the end of today's episode and I was really hoping he would turn out to be Esther's date, haha.
  17. I think it must have been easier for JG to ask the "Y&R historian" because those clips were pulled a year or two ago for LLB's anniversary episode. They had the clip where Danny and Cricket meet, so they knew it happened in Jack's office. They have no storyline, putting them in the company of... everyone else. With the nonsense that goes on at the Emmys, it would be quite funny if Michael Damian, Lauralee Bell, Christian Le Blanc, Tracey Bergman, Beth Maitland, etc could submit themselves as "guest stars" and get nominated. CLB could probably win if they would give him maybe one worthwhile scene. Which they won't.
  18. What a random ep... the only male that would definitely be at Danny's bachelor party is Daniel so of course he wasn't there. I guess they had to fullfill the contract guarantees of Jack, Diane, Nate, Victoria, and Devon. Surprised they sprung for a day's pay for Melissa Ordway for this, considering she has nothing to do with Christine. This must be the transition to most of the "action" (jk) taking place in LA and then whatever remaining characters are leftover in GC will randomly be thrown together. It's really really cringe when they have the characters walk in and announce "boy, this place is sparse!" "This sure is INTIMATE, huh?" It's bad enough that they have no extras, actually putting the rationalization into the writing is just terrible. Nice touch with Nate speaking to the offscreen "manager" about the blown fuse, lmao. @yrfan1983 would appreciate the attempts to try to explain the random characters' connection to Danny and Cricket. They mentioned that Jack introduced them at the Jabot offices, and that Danny used to be friendly with Amy and how Nate's father used to help Danny with his music. I was surprised since that's relatively accurate.
  19. I'm getting a blank screen, I think it's just offline right now.
  20. I don't like how FV reads off his phone. But hey, he actually produces a watachable show.
  21. Yeah, that scene in isolation didn't come off well, but she's outstanding on the regular. The acting awards were on point. I would have preferred Dom to win but I don't know Telfer's work and you all seem to think he does a good job.
  22. Laura Wright you're not an EP, relax.
  23. Deserved win for NLG. Emma and Gio sitting together so cute.
