I definitely agree. 6 seasons in and the dynamic STILL does not at all feel stale. And love them or hate them, this show knows how to introduce strong newbies...whether liked or not...that bring a different flavor.

She started fun for me, but it was clear that she is gunning for Teresa and that just went meh. Of course, I am not a regular viewer of NJ until recently. @Cat Ooohh it's not just me. lol. re: Wendy.

POTOMAC Just like I like my Potomac...easy and breezy. I thought this episode was a nice taste of what's to come next week. The first group trip. And the battle lines have definitely been drawn. Mia/La Dame/Wendy vs The Green Eyed Bandits with Candiace in the middle. And then you have wild cards like Ashley (who will be bringing it and being messy next week) and Alaska (okay, that nickname is really sticking). And it evens out so well given who is (and who is not) getting along so the dynamic is going to be crazy fun over the next few episodes. Just tonight alone was fun to watch. Meanwhile, we got solo scenes to deepen Mia, get into Ashley's head pre-trip, and of course setting up the main plot...the start of the Eddie rumors...which as we know (and Wendy has emphasized online after everyone, me, and their mama said online), started in the edited scene with Gizelle and was reshot (again?), by Gizelle with Ashley this episode. Hmmm...who did she try to do that on before? Hmmm... LA DAME. I have mentioned that I felt that La Dame was coming across more vicious. But THIS was more like the La Dame I was used to seeing. Unbothered. If anyone was bothered this time around, it was Gizelle. It showed from the first time La Dame got on the bus. Then just seeing Wendy and La Dame getting along. Then later on at the house. And she was just so...triggered, she had to get that dig in at Ray and the taxes. Oh, delicious irony right now! Meanwhile, all she got from La Dame was DUST!!! La Dame was there to have fun and kiki and she did. She was hilarious on the stripper pole challenge. And I fully expect her to drag Gizelle (and Robyn since she keeps wanting to turn up) next week. GIZELLE. Bitter, bitter, bitter. That came through loud and clear for me. I admit that I was surprised that Dean did not react to her like he did La Dame. lol. But she continued to seem so pressed over La Dame's very presence. At La Dame's growing friendship with Wendy. At the fact Mia might be trying to get to know her, but she's TeamLaDame. And it was clear that if she was so upset over what La Dame, she would have done what she said and discussed it outside of the show and/or cameras. So she clearly wanted an audience...yeeeeeah no. She also wanted to start some mess with Wendy by repeating that rumor...well...TWICE. Shown or not shown, she did. Seems like a waste of energy and throwing away any goodwill (or editing) she managed to get over the last few episodes. BUT...it does keep it going. ROBYN. GUUUUUUUUUUUUURL, SHHHHHHHUTTTTTT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Every time she spoke in defense of Gizelle (who can defend herself if she is the HBIC), I continued to think of the Season 2/3 episode when Drunk Karen read her down. She is truly Gizelle's shadows and is just itching to dragged into the corner with her when she is getting read down. Looks like she might get her wish next week when Wendy starts. And given that sneak peek that got released where Gizelle did not seem to have Robyn's back at all that's just sad that Robyn would have hers. But I'll reserve judgment until I see the whole scene. ASHLEY. Awww at the new baby. And I really liked how she described how she felt about having two sons. It really tracked with her history with her family and just resonated with me. But I guess Hades froze over because I'm ready for Messy Ashley to show up and we all know I loathe Messy Ashley, but given the pot shots that Candiace has taken at her for the last few episodes, it's time. MIA. And THIS is why it's a good thing if you are in a relationship when one is older than the other. They can have a different, but helpful perspective on things you might not see for yourself. So I liked the scene where Mia and her man talked about her mother and home life. I also liked her going on that dinner after all with the Green Eyed Bandits. She said she was willing so I'll give her that even if she is still TeamLaDame. And hahahahahahhahahaha at her on the stripper pole. ETA: DEAD. I think she won that easily with Candiace a close second. lol. CANDIACE. Surpisingly pleasant and low key this episode other than her continuing to shade Ashley. Oh, wait! She threw Wendy under the bus due to her getting closer to La Dame. Some best friend, huh? WENDY. Can she please go back to sounding like her she sounded last season? I thought it was just me, but she has this annoying a&* baby voice that she did not have last season and it's like nails on a chalkboard to me. In her confrontation scene next week, that sounds more like how I am used to her sounding so I need that back and not baby voice. Other than that, it was more of Second Season Wendy for me and that was just...kinda there. I know it won't be next week so I don't mind. Good episode for sure. Can't wait for the first fight which looks like Dr. Wendy vs BOTH Green Eyed Bandits.

Ugh...but a date finally August 16 Cameron Mathison Set For GH Debut As Drew - Soap Opera Digest

7-27 Poor Spencer. Pushed in the pool again. But seriously, I'm loving all this. Seeing all the black characters having some movement. Curtis and Shawn bonding. And their dynamic is just IT. So much history there and potential for conflict. Then there's the Jordan/Curtis/Portia triangle. Which has been played as something that has been building for while, but now that we're in IT...it has legs since no one has been acting out of character. But I guess that's what we have Stella for. Annoying as she's been. lol. Then you have Trina and her storyline in Spencer which is going to get mixed into the Stalker storyline. And also Shawn starting on the 'Who Shot Hayden' loose end. So they are going to be mixing it up all outside of the black 'bubble.' Add on the Nixon Falls stuff and how that has been sloooooooowwwwly growing as well, I would say the only person missing is Taggert. But it's nice to see it outside of Y&R and lately B&B...

Y&R did that storyline already (and Josh Morrow was at this scruffy and hot fine-ness). 😜 But serious...while I'm like the Sonny storyline...having no Brenda (or Sarah Brown) will always feel like a missing link to that storyline.

Well it is nice to be vindicated before I head out for family drama. lol. As for NY...well, this season was supposed to be a 19/20 season according to the girls so they at least have some wiggle room. But given that their first WWHL was riped with tension that was not resolved at the end of filming, I am curious to see what really causes it.

Which as you recall is what they did last season as well to make Denise look worse and save Kyle from a takedown.

No complaints here. We really should get Khan on this. He would really love the news. I hate to say it, but he is aging oh so well. And Christie Clark is just timeless.

Same. THIS. I would respect her more if she did as well. For her sake, she better hope that La Dame will give her the same grace that Gizelle has not been giving her re: taxes and your 'man'. In the past OR this season so far. After all...what is good for the goose is good for the gander. And it's not helped that she is letting herself be wasted potential. This past week showed she was at her best when she was being real...for good or ill. Own that bitter woman-ness. It was the lack of it while going after others that led to her being unmasked. She could negate all of that by staying unmasked rather than trying to fake a storyline and using an image. Which is easy for her to do because sadly Production is on her side trying to give her a relatable edit. The funny thing is that last season her best protector left so Marge could have been taken down. It was a shame Miss Andy tried to deflect from Jen and Teresa throwing shots at her at the reunion. And YES, on why Marge has not had Teresa removed. It's been so clear for a while now that that tension has been growing and this past few reunion I was happy to see that Teresa got a clue and started to get pointed with her words at Marge. She knows what's up. And I agree with everything you said about Jennifer. I know she will give as good as she gets this coming season. And I hope they come off Team WannaBe Coven get the heat for trying to ice her out. HA!!!! I agree. I think Candiace is serious about her career. Up until now she has treated it like a hobby though. Which is why last week I loved her acting scenes. Yes, my minor is showing but I kew about the acting for a while online but she was not filming or talking about it on filming. You are on Housewives, Girl!!! Use that platform. And I love that she's been doing just that. It makes her more interesting AND relatable. Which given how last season ended really is some high praise coming from me. Dare I say? She's working on getting a lot of the goodwill back she lost post-fight. And I feel it's working. I caught that!!! re: the producer. Could Ms. Dorothy be doing that or did Candiace get a raise? Things to make you go hmmm. I believe both her and Gizelle are getting some good edits so far. Not that anyone other than Wendy so far is coming across bad. But it seems transparent and thus given what's come before, Candiace's is just coming across better for me on screen than Gizelle's is. But like you said, that could be because Candiace is being strategic in how she moves and she is doing it extremely well. It wasn't just you. A lot of online opinion was that this past Sunday was filler. I really wasn't picking. It reminded me of the first half of last season where the episodes were so easy and breezy AND fun to get through pre-fight. And you could not wait for the next one and feeling sad that it was over. And since I'm about to be submerged in a lot of family and personal drama (thankfully, the professional side will be on hold until late weekend...just in time for next Sunday ), I really need something light. And that game they did was a hoot and a half. And seeing everyone's lives was nice. Outside of NJ and this current season of BH, we don't really get that much anymore so it is always nice to see. Whhhhhhhhhhhattttttttt!!! Lu is at it again??? I do need to catch up.
