  1. IKR. You can do the same 'I have something to tell you' only to be delayed/distracted/interrupted a whole lot better (or even with an intelligent dialogue detour) than what we get from him. And it probably says something I know the writer in question and have watched from show to show to show now that now I just get irked. lol. And I'm pretty sure I used to like him which makes it worse.
  2. I know what I said lol, but I don't mind the surprise of a random appearance of a character mid-episode. Y&R used to corner the market on doing that. In fact, there has been a few of those kind of appearances of late on there and in my GH binging right now, and it makes me glad I made it through a dull scene here or there. I do agree with your reasoning on that as well in a 'two things can be true' way of thinking but I'm a Gem. I'm allowed. hehe. Now writing-wise...lol...I have to disagree. Some of the fun of the HW name swap has been you immediately know if you are going to get an introspective/intelligent conversation or just some plot ho-how. And I admit I roll my eyes any time I see the name Lucky Gold on screen because I just can't stand his Waiting for Gadot (as if!) style of writing scenes.
  3. That's another thing! They haven't followed up on that scene at all. lol. I would think that Val would be doing everything to be sure his cover might not be blown. Oh, yeah...there's a feeling of momentum going on (and I saw this week's promo). I've been saying as I've binged that there's a feeling of hitting the 'middles' of storylines right now so I would like to think we are about to hit some climaxes of some sort. Or turns.
  4. See? I was just asking about that yesterday. It has vanished, hasn't it?
  5. I wouldn't mind that either. He's a fine number 3 on my List of Returnees...Number 1 being a woman and she was not on that list.
  6. I do admit that I've been noticing the updates and except for a few I really do like them. Like Drew with his scruff. lol. That's the one thing I don't like about the opening. It gives you no idea who will be in that episode that day. And that's what I do like about Y&R.
  7. Oh, how I side-eyed at that picture and will probably hiss when he hits screen. FV and his obsession. That said, thank you, for saying we can still dream of who the REAL returnee is. Cuz I'm holding out for Lucky so hard it's not even funny.
  8. I also agree with the re-clarification since it was always vague to me and its reasoning. So for that thank you. The one thing I liked pre-merge was that if there was a spoiler that I did not want to read, I could simply ignore it and DID. And with the merge, why would I wander in to look for ONE spoiler that I was looking for only to find all the OTHERS that I didn't want to know about. Thus, why I said above, I DON'T open it. Besides, if it was really important, I know Errol will bring a detailed and accurate article on the main page verifying that, and I can totally wait for that info. THIS however got a reaction out of me because...well...do I have to explain since my opinion on that GH casting is on quite a few posts?
  9. I don't even come over here anymore really since the 'merge' because I don't want to find out anything unless I have no choice which merging the threads basically has done for me. But since that news popped up in my email I wanted to be sure. One day? Really? And who needed that? And all that hype from FV? Clearly an ATM appearance aka
  10. 6-18 Wait! Is that why Victor is helping Audra? I'll give credit where credit is due. Watching the Jack vs Tucker scene where Tucker accuses him of being Audra's secret backer. And Jack laughed in his face and asked him why he would even think Jack when he has the most successful cosmetics company in the world. And it hit me...Victor is playing the long game. It made me think of the old days for a second. So if Audra gets the company, Victor is totally aiming it at Jabot. Meanwhile, Victor has Cole on Kyle and Michael on Diane. God, he's chess playing. Go 'head, Mr. Newman. That said...I've enjoyed seeing TSJ being checked in the last two days and playing the cunning man that Tucker is supposed to be. I was picking on this fake heart problem moment only for it to be just that...FAKE. Good job. And Audra is giving Tucker a run for his money, too. So it has been interesting to watch. On the flipside, I love the Traci/Tucker scene as well. But that again goes back to TSJ being checked in. Hmmmm at Jack and Traci trying to theorize what would have caused Ashley to have alters in childhood. I side-eyed when Jack pondered if Ashley might have known that Brent was not her father even back then. Uhhhh...NO. ON THE OTHER HAND, they put out the idea that Dina was around with a parade of men growing up...and I'm not sure if that is any better. But at least if they are going there for the DID, that tracks. Don't like the Connor story, but liked the moment between Adam and Victor.
  11. Yes, given the writing looked like those characters were heading for their ends. With PM out, I can see FV trying to keep them. The only one out of those 3 that I would keep is Ava. And that's cuz of Maura's talent. And yay for updates!!!
  12. 6-14 OOOooooo. But first, can I just say that I've been enjoying this Alexis renaissance. I've mentioned that I loved that PM started the ball rolling for Alexis to get her lawyer license back. He played beats. He added twists. So I've enjoyed all of it now that PM is out the door. But Alexis has also been popping up in other stories. Kristina, Molly, and the surrogacy of course. But seeing her being supporting in the Finn storyline also has been good. And her attachment to the Heather storyline has also been full of win. So not in a story bubble or seen once every couple of months. I liked her checking Kristina because the last thing Alexis needs is Sophie's choice. And after being absent the last day or so, the Finn storyline is back. I don't mind that they are playing the beat of What About Violet. That said...I wish they would keep Liz away from him. But Liz wouldn't be Liz if she didn't go check on him. Meanwhile, I liked her scene with Chase touching base...an organically done way of getting viewers caught up to date and didn't just feel like plot points. And I loved Chase's scene with Alexis doing the same (cuz I was shocked that Chase didn't know about the slip at the wedding) while advancing the plot. Hehe. Drew/Nina would soooo make such a good scheme team. Meanwhile, that ooooo at the top? I was talking about Gio and Trina. I was waiting for more for them. And Gio, the violin, and Trina reacting to him playing it and him...YES. More, please. It was interesting to see since the episode before was Curtis and Heather, and Curtis was talking about how Trina lost her spark. And in watching Trina run her fingers over the violin and the look on her face...her spark was back. Well-played and good writing. Amen. Oooo nice. But they are both in a more interesting place now, and it's been fascinating to watch.
  13. Oh yeah they were making believers even out of people who dislike the actors so yep. I'm hoping for that pairing as well.
  14. Agree. Like I keep saying...the best thing about this Jason Return for me has been watching him reconnect with his kids, Liz, and Sam. And he's not perfect, but SB (and Jason) are showing up to work. VERY.
  15. 6-13 Woulda coulda shoulda. With the twilight of PM upon us, I can't help but watch some of these stories and see their potential and wonder what way they will go now that he's out the door. I said from GO that with the Heather storyline (like with Drew of the Hot Bread and Nina of the Claws) that it seem like PM was taking characters that the audience could take or leave and giving them purpose and (more importantly) direction. In some cases (Valentin immediately comes to mind), characters were being set up for exits. Basically following Douglas Marland's Rules IMH(but mentioned)O. It was my hope that Heather and the Hip, while started under the old HWs, was a way to not redeem Heather, but refit her into the cunning crafty character I read about her to be. And goodness knows Laura could use a sparring partner since Cyrus is not good enough and Victor is gone. Bonus...in the lead-up, the story gives Laura a storyline...as she wrestled with her conscience. And while I felt it had a great start...complete with pros and cons like the old soap operas used to show when we got all characters' POVs...it has been very blink and you missed it in storyline as of late. I felt this week got back to that because we got to see Trina talk to Laura. I definitely am feeling the missed opportunity with Trina since she has not been used much under PM, but when she's been used, we saw her POV and feelings. So the Trina/Laura scenes worked for me to get back to that. And then there's Curtis visiting Heather herself. Good to see the actor clocked in, and it was great to see AM playing a conflicted Heather. Because what could Heather said? She did that. FIVE people...dead. I even liked that Diva Reporter Guy because it does seem like GH has back something it really does not have...recurring characters who are just THAT...recurring characters. No need for anything more than that. So it would have been nice to see how the Heather storyline would have gone right up 'til the trial because even now the middle of the story was being set up this week for that. We know I don't like the surrogacy storyline. But I do love how it's given organic drama to TJ and Molly. I don't hate them as much as some...I don't even know if the hate is for the characters in general or if we just don't like this Molly recast...but it has been nice to have a little bit different from them. And their story is hitting its middle as well. It was nice to almost see Jason/Sonny/Carly make up. But nice to make people wait on that. Also...has no one figured out Sonny and the meds yet? Or Ava's scheming? I kept having that in the back of my head as I was watching. Another middle moment. Hehe. These Alexis/Diane scenes were gold. I did not even think of the personal angle to Diane by the Hook. Another wrinkle to the Heather story. And oops...what Diane used to get Franco off COULD be used to get Heather off...uh oh. Good coda. From your keyboards to God's ears. All I want is that Brenda makes him beg when she eventually returns.
  16. 6-17 Lord have mercy!!! Not Sheila!! lol but payback is a B and if anyone loves to do payback and will try to manipulate Finn right out of Steffy's life...it's Sheila. Ugh.
  17. 6-17 Oh, dear. But first...YAAAAAY to Alan asking Traci to dinner!! Like I said before, I felt a little bit of a spark between them. So fingers crossed they finally give Traci a love interest. Now the bad...this storyline...smh. Granted it tracks that if Ashley has true DID, it would be tracked all the way back to childhood. And I liked they used Jack (who apparently I didn't realized he had left to Paris) to be the voice of the audience. But this is just a BAD idea. Most viewers of Y&R have been watching forever. And they know these characters back and forth. So while there is wiggle room...I just don't feel there is THAT much wiggle room to pull this. Ever since Alan has hinted at this...I've had a bad feeling about where this part of Ashley's story is going...especially with JG writing. Getting DAYS 50th anniversary flashback. I could care less about Adam/Chelesa, but did they just give them a non-parent moment. With Billy trying to seduce Lily to the 'dark' side, could JG be finally circling back to Billy/Lily/Chelesa/Adam? I'm with Audra. How convenient Tucker has chest problems. And...what are they planning for Sharon? Oh, very clear. And yes, the one scene with the originals was FIRE. Hehe. So true. Viva La West!!!
  18. I don't disagree. But I still love watching Diane vs Nikki. And SW Diane does have her moments with MTS. Though my favorite from their brief scenes together has been when they saw each other at Crimson Lights once everyone knew Diane was alive and they had a slapfest. SW Diane really was channeling AD Diane in those scenes...something I wouldn't have believed possible with her version of Diane decades before...showing to me SW's continued growth as an actress.
  19. 6-14 Okay...that was a little more fun. lol. You go on and weave that web some more, Victor!!! I can't believe that he is trying to pull a fast one over on Tucker. But I'm not against a Victor/Audra alliance. Even if she is technically a recast, I will always love Diane vs Nikki. Because SW and MTS have their own chemistry...though I LOVE AD. And at least she said what she had to say to her face. Oh, how he stays making me laugh.
