  1. RHOA So...here we are. This season was set up to get to the main event...Brit vs Kenya. So I was already sad that 1) Kenya does not have Confessionals so we can't get her side and 2) it was going down in Episode 5. But...it's here. And while I liked the episode...it does leave questions. I see people asking why at the event? While I definitely don't feel she should have done it at her event which has been years in the making...and actually done last season, but that was PRODUCTION'S choice to not show the whole storyline of Kenya building the spa and opening it...there IS quite a bit to find suspect about the things surrounding the event. Kenya might take things to Hades, but she tends to play chess, not crackers. If she felt threatened, it's not like Kenya won't do her due diligence and go and report what she heard. Just look at her with Porsha back in S6, the situation with Tammy's relative in S8. Also something to look at...POTOMAC S5 when La Dame went behind Candiace back to their Production to see about getting her help. So these shows do have that department. I feel...until I am corrected...safe to say that Kenya more than likely did go and tell what happened. And it fell on deaf ears to a production which had been gunning for her since that last season with trying to make Marlo an anchor. A production still mad at her not only for getting married between seasons, but telling on them to Carlos King a few years ago. It is a shame this did not happen before the hottie producer who is all over online (but I remember from VANDERPUMP RULES) right now talking about how foul Bravo producers can be to work with and got blacklisted from being on due to his OF. Because it seems very much in that vein with Brit, the gun comment, Kenya, and Production. And she would have a case for toxic work environment just off that. But...Kenya was going to Kenya. And it seems clear remorseful Brit were scenes filmed after the fact. As someone pointed out...that Porsha/Brit chat did not at all reference the Bank dinner. And Brit was talking about how she did not say anything. But now that we all have seen it, those scenes just seem damage control-y to me and as if Brit thought Production would not show that. And don't get me started with the random dead relative scene in the van that was taking forever to get to Kenya's event. Almost as if someone aka Kenya's Producer didn't already know what would happen. Which brings up another point...Kenya might be in control of her actions, but there would still have to be a producer who would have known about those boards and cleared them. And finally, given most of these women know Kenya...why the abrupt and sudden turning on her like that? Almost like Production was already on ready...or an investigation had already taken place so everyone better fall in formation. The whole thing again just seem suspect. Heck, I can't even look at Cynthia the same way right now cuz her word choice was odd when you take into account that she said she did not know in interviews, but did on the show. JS. Regardless of all I said, I found things I liked throughout the episode. I loved that Porsha/Kenya had a moment. And them + Kelli was a kiki. I loved getting more about Angela and a hint of the drama she can bring. I can't talk enough about seeing Miss Lawrence. And the fashion show was superb. I am over Porsha vs Drew though. But that conclusion...le sigh. Hopefully, since Kenya IS still under contract, she's at the reunion. PORSHA. I'm actually dreading Porsha being without Kenya going forward. I just don't feel she's strong enough to be lead. She can do Co-Lead with someone she can bounce off of...which she was good at that with Kenya just this episode. And I actually liked how intune she was to know how Kenya is and trying to advise Brit a little bit. But as per usual Porsha is for Porsha and that will always pop in to remind someone just when they are liking her. For me, it was her trying to make her vs Drew a thing and I'm already over that until it goes in a new direction. And then her at the end, again controlling Production as if she has not 'sin' on this show. GIRL, BYE. DREW. I didn't even realize she wasn't even in the episode until she arrived at Kenya's event. I was happy to see her sister though. I did like she seem to be getting how Porsha is acting. Because if this was THAT serious, they could film a one-on-one scene and handle it. But Porsha just wants to keep it going on and on and on AND with the girls around. Drew might not be slick. Neither is Porsha. SHAMEA. Kinda a non-entity this episode. KELLI. She gave us a ki with Kenya and Porsha. She gave us comedy at Kenya's event. And she showed she is a strong, good friend when she walked out of Kenya's event. But little did she know...her friendship was misplaced...allegedly...😎 ANGELA. I am going to need to rewatch her scenes again. Because I keep seeing that Angela revealed she was the messy one with that question that set off Kenya v Brit at her own Bank dinner. lol. How did I miss that? In any case, there was so much to take in with her this episode. The drama with her daughter...and what the street are saying...oooo. The drama with her daughter vs her mama/sister. Her silly moments with Charles who is making me jealous and hungry every time we see him which is usually in the kitchen cooking. And I love that she checked in on Kenya (off-screen at that) to be sure she was okay after what happened at the Bank dinner. And she was classy to the last. I like her. BRIT. Even if I felt she was remorseful...which she wasn't...any attempt to believe was thrown out the window with that nasty attitude she had when she got to Kenya's event, and Kenya ignored her. Yep, be disappointed, but don't have the attitude that got you in that position in the first place. So nope...doesn't seem remorseful to me so I was all for Kenya getting her lick back. And the funny thing is that clearly she is a Production favorite given the hoops they did in editing to try to get the audience on her side. The scene with Porsha. The scene about the relative. The Confessionals. But...nope. KENYA. Life...twirls on. Again...a good episode. Regardless of Production and Kenya falling off, it seem Production really and truly gave this episode an air of finality. It felt like a FINAL good-bye to Kenya with all kinds of flashbacks from as early as Kenya's very first appearance, return appearances (Cynthia, MISS LAWRENCE!!), and just the clear vibe in the air. I'm sad it went down like that and even looks like there will be no fallout scenes like in the trailer for this season. Just sad.
  2. I hate to do it, but I do like giving credit where it's due. I loathe the Quad from Hell (c) @soapfan770, but I enjoyed...well...mostly lol...the scenes of Adam telling Sally and Chelesa telling Billy that they were back together. If I have to sit through how contrived it all was, at least give me the organic story beat of them being told. AND on screen. As expected, Sally took it well while Billy took it all the way to Hades with his 'Woe Is Me' act, attacking Chelesa AND Sally. Then it was downhill after that for me with them. I loved what Sally had on (red, red, red) and her and Adam STILL have chemistry. So it's sad he's with that dull Chels while Sally has to deal with a crybaby. At least for now. So happy to have Damian and Co. back in town. And that did not disappoint at all. And it appears that JG is slowly starting in on the next beat of the story with Dumas. Loved Lily vs Damian and how it is sadly affecting Nate and Amy. I said I loved Nate and Damian's growing rapport (and how hot they are) and Amy makes three. It was great to see Amy with some fire to her as she went off on her boys after Lily left for trying to keep her in the dark about what was going on with Lily. Also glad that Nate and Damian now suspect that Victor is pulling strings. I also love how my heart almost stopped when Damian almost revealed the extent of Audra/Holden to Nate without realizing it. THAT was a nice near miss.
  3. Well you might be getting that sooner rather than later.
  4. IKR. It didn't irk me...yet...but I did not like to watch it. So much going on from what I read here since I don't do BH anymore outside of the occasional clip...but everyone is coming for...Garcelle? Really? smh. Perhaps she did not have Garcelle's back because she knows EVERYTHING. I believe allegedly her and Sutton have stopped talking. But I could be wrong. Sadly...I believe it. And here comes Ex Soap Opera Star knocking on the door.
  5. First of all, from what I've glanced (since we know how I feel about spoilers), last Friday had a cliffhanger. Joey and Vanessa getting closer as Diego (hey Diego of the Bubble hey) looked on with his stalker self. Moreso since Vanessa already gave him a warning in the episode...not to mention Nicole running to her with the quickness to reveal Joey's lie. If anything, it was the only thing in the episode with a cliffhanger that was Dupree-adjacent. But that might be what the problem is I suspect. For a month, our Friday cliffhangers have been for the most part centered on either Dani or Nicole. And given the promo for this week...I am sure we are going to get one that will center on one of them or (speculating) Vernon and/or Anita given the only major storyline not being developed (and by major I said the main plots since Week 1 has been Dani/Bill/Hayley, Nicole/Ted/SilkPress, and Martin's secret) and needs some more development time for it pre-May Sweeps IS Martin's secret. So...fingers crossed. That said...I can't be too hard on the show. It's clear the writers not MVJ are still trying to find a rhythm that works for them. NOW come end of May Sweeps, I will probably sing a different tone since that will be 3 months in and I fully expected some climaxes and if not those...new turns in plots AND new plots. But that is just me. That also said...I can see that the stories have slooowed the last few weeks to a bit of a crawl. And that's an uh oh. I did agree the week before last was much better without the presence of the Derek/Ashley/Andre storyline and this past week was not helped by having it back...outside of seeing Nosy Nurse! lol. And I liked when who (Darn?) said what I said about it. I actually like all of them (And Derek is serving good himbo which I don't mind even though he's not my fave hottie(s)*cough*DiegoJacob*cough), but the story has become very paint-by-numbers to me. And I just feel like it will be on the verge of maybe being refreshing. Then suddenly, it takes steps back. In the most recent episode...I guess I keep missing all the elevator baby mentions because I feel like they stopped after Week 2. And right now...all they talk about is that darn cat. But seeing who did Friday's episode...well...not surprised. *sips* I did want to take the time to say that I loved the Derek/Hayley scenes. They are two characters that definitely needed to branch out out of their main storylines. And given some of the discussion in the thread about Hayley's history with some of the Duprees, I hope people were happy that that was happening. So...Hayley DOES know Ashley/Derek due to how close she was to Naomi. Something to be develop. Also Derek and Jacob seem pretty close outside of their respective girlfriends so perhaps more 'man' time for them so both characters can have POVs as well? In any case, I would not mind seeing the Derek/Hayley dynamic developed given all the characters involved do have other options, too. It could be an atypical bad girl/good guy dynamic. Well...if Derek doesn't go crazy when/if Ashley/Andre happens. And yes, I DID like Derek in those pants, too. I thought the biggest storyline last week was the lawsuit storyline and I was here for all of it. Cuz Bill vs Naomi has been great to watch. Teacher vs student. And both actor and actress (especially Timon) have been finding the layers in their confrontations and maneuverings. And then Hayley keeps trying to butt in...allowing for the audience to see the relationship between Bill and his kids. And I thought Timon did great with the heart attack scenes. But...will that be an interesting subplot since Naomi never called 911? And yay for Chelesa being smart enough to use the fashion show to promote her line. THAT is smart. And I love Dani being there for her while trying to not be tooooooooo hands-on so Chelesa can do it herself. Vanessa and Doug's storyline was the clear B plot. And I loved that we got to get Vanessa to get serious (and get some long overdue BFF scenes with Nicole...sidenote God, I love DD) to show her POV. And oooo when she said she and Doug had an arrangement. And how she feels about that. I found it nicely paced around a character that the audience like (or close to someone the audience like because I like the twist of Nicole finding out from Ted about the mother last Thursday), but I want to know more. Like what Joey's endgame is. Not to mention Diego (hey, Diego, hey! hehe) is giving obsessed when he's not giving hot. And that's just Vanessa's part of the plot. Doug's gambling and Joey slowly tightening the leash is an uh oh. And could it tie into Jacob's storyline? That's what came out of the last two episodes I watched. I'm looking forward to a build to the next event which appears to be Dani's fashion show. And fingers crossed...we will get to the anniversary party for Nicole in exactly two weeks. Amen. You're not looking in the right places. 😜 But that said...I do agree that compared to the other men, he IS bland. But he is not at all unattractive. But as we know...beauty is subjective. Not that Friday didn't have one. 😜 But seriously...well...we did have that ONE preemption. So in another timeline...perhaps this was Friday's cliffhanger?
  6. lol. Same. All soaps need that one himbo...
  7. Lol. No worries. Someone posted a nice gif of her in this thread. She was EVERYTHING when I tuned into DAYS for the first time to see what the possession was about.
  8. If I remember correctly I'm midseason on Cristian Sirano's season in the old seasons and I was also binging the first reboot season on Bravo because I had such a crush on the winner and LOVE his designs and backstory.
  9. Thank you for the info. I knew at some point that I would go back to continue my binging of both the old Bravo seasons (my library has all of them except for S5 if I'm not mistaken) and the soft Bravo reboot because I always found them inspirative. I've been wondering if it was going to get a new season since Bravo isn't advertising much like they were.
  10. Yeah there have been SOME moments when she came in, but I have noticed in my slow binging that it appears to now be all over the place outside of Nikki, Claire maybe, and anyone who is dressed for the season.
  11. Started with DAYS Old School Recipe Celeste in the 90s.
  12. While I surprisingly have not noticed, I do feel that outside of the occasional swoop-in camera angle that not much stands out production-wise since Ed Scott came back.
  13. Have I mentioned how much I love Caroline? lol. Such a sucker for a good henchwoman.
  14. With no gimmicks at that. If it was any other show, it would be silly or a quick cut-off that does not have a vibe. Or a near-miss with some stupid character in an attempt to put the focus on a writer's (not necessarily the audience's) favorite to give them something to do. It...just is. And most definitely show, not tell. Letting it cook. And with an actor and actress with chemistry is a bonus. And sexy, too? YES. I know it won't last forever, but yep...time being...very nice.
  15. Yay!!! Damian!!! And hehe at his and Nate's rapport. Making me think some naughty thoughts involving a sandwich.
  16. Awww I hope it works out for you. Awww again. Maybe in time then.
  17. I'll watch later since I haven't watched yesterday's yet, but going ahead and looking at Next Week's...YASSSS!!! Our next event is the fashion show! Leaving the anniversary party...which is sounding end of the month-ish. And Anita's gala.
  18. Thank you. It's just so unusual. Especially on today's soaps. AND they have chemistry. How can you not want them together just a little bit? Do we have a webpage yet that lets us know what all these songs featured on the show are yet? Cuz quite a few in their scenes I admit if I had the time, I totally would go and see who sung it. Like their latest scene together, I really wanted to know the song. It (and they) were THAT good. You're not. Thank you!!! As much as I love Anita with Vernon, she and Jacob's dad did have chemistry, too. And would have been that way with him if Vernon was in the room? Things that make you go hmmm. I love the mention of Jacob's family for sure. Wouldn't it be funny if MVJ showed the other soaps how to properly introduce a new family. With gradual mentions and appearances over a period of time and then BOOM vs just appear and have them in the audience's 5 days a week (propping included). I like we got a mention of Jacob's mother and what she does and a mention of a brother named Luke. And I believe they are all police adjacent.
  19. Coming into April...and...SHUT UP, KATIE!!! lol. I did like the women episode. It was not what I expected. And Heather Tom wrote it, too? Cuz I loved Hope vs Brooke. Sad that slap did not land honestly. Because Hope was not wrong. Still it was nice. I was also not expecting Deacon vs Sheila. It felt like organic drama which was great. Of course, Deacon would not give Luna a chance given how close he was to Hollis (who should have never been killed off) and Tom. I am sure he will bend cuz...SHEILA. But it was nice to have something different. Uh...Luna...don't get bold now. lol. I am shocked she was upfront with Will about what she want to do. I again found that unexpected since I at least thought she might be realll crafty. But...okay. And Will and Electra still don't know Remy is out, do they? Intrigued.
  20. Coming into April... Uh...we know how much I loathe the Giggly Heffa, but I'll give credit where it is due. For the most part, I am oddly interested in Phyllis unraveling/PTSD she has going on from the Sawish storyline. And we even got a Phyllis vs Diane scene out of it. Except for one moment where I felt MS was overacting, MS has actually been spellbinding so far. I mentioned it before, it would be nice if JG did take her off in a different direction (same for Sharon) which is probably why I have actually enjoyed it. And I was also surprised how Team Phyllis I was with the reveal of Billy/Dumas connection. Speaking of... First of all...Billy, Billy, BILLY. No matter how he tried to sugarcoat it, basically he's going after Victor which EVERYONE has already called him out on. Le sigh. So we are just going to hijack Damian for another round of Billy vs Victor. NO THANKS FOR ME. Another reason why I said that I would rather there was not a fourth reveal in the Damian storyline...especially one where Damian was not the owner of Dumas. But heaven forbid we try something new...something the Damian storyline was giving. Outside of that, I'm definitely invested in Tracy's storyline. Because the only way to explain what's going on is if Martin is still alive and at some point he switched places with Alan. And Alan and Tracy have been in and out over the past year so that's possible. But I really want to see how JG explains this. Part of me (and @Antoyne hehe) is wondering if Ashley is going to be roped into this, too, if it turns out Martin is alive. For now, watching Tracy figure it out, talk to Jack, and them getting Chance (mmmm CF) into it has been great. And now a trap is sprung. I couldn't care less about Adam announcing to the family he and Chelesa are back together. And I rolled my eyes at Nick after Adam ribbed him about Sharon and Nick getting back together cuz salt-wound.
  21. I keep saying the same about Andre/Ashley. Cuz if it came down to having a period of time where it's Ashley/Andre/Dani...Dani would eat her alive. Not Nosy Nurse...that is more of a match.
  22. I know. I feel the same way about reunion episodes, and I was still surprised. I do expect a high turnout for this Sunday just because we heard so much about it (or so little).
  23. Especially given BH's ratings went UP.
  24. First, let me start on how much eye candy was on display. Andre and those velvet pants! Derek in the blue jeans with a little bit of wiggle. And Jacob and his everything. LOL. And then Jacob's father, too. Lord... I'm starting to feel like every time I see Sara Bibel on breakdowns, I'm going to get plenty for me to chew on. Because there was a lot. And I believe the last time I felt that way, Lynn was with her. Or had been. Yes, it be night and day with her depending on breakdowns. But I can say that about Jazmen who is my favorite scriptwriter so far. And can I say fashion was on point. I believe my standouts were Anita (she looked good in the leather pants!), Dani, and Andre. I really and truly want Vernon's winter jacket. He looked so majestic in it as Anita looked regal. Is this the second time that Bill and Dani were in scenes alone with each other? Because the only time I can think of is right before the wedding. And this was very much like that in how Timon and Karla 'dance' with each other acting-wise. They bring out so many nuances and subtext going on even though as the scene goes from comedic to serious to vicious to back again. And there were just times when they both give so much in their body language and faces...no matter how subtle. There was literally one moment where Bill might have been saying he was not getting back with Dani, but how his voice was had room for doubt. Or there was a moment where Dani went from deluded to crystal clear serious in a literal second. That's just them separately feeding off their energy. And then...together? Just WOW. I already knew I would rewatch their scenes. And then Andre and Dani. Hmmmmm...they are being everything I need them to be right now. Together, but not. Connected, but not romantic. The kind of relationship they are in does exist in the real world so it's nice to see it on a show. Would I like it to turn into love? Sure. But it doesn't need to be either. If it grows, great. If not, okay. But right now...in this moment...it's a needed thing between them and secretive, but adult. I'm probably not explaining it well, but I do like it. And I think somehow Andre will help her move on from Bill. Other than Derek's blue jeans and the little moment where Ashley and he realized that Andre was leaving for a booty call, I wasn't feeling those scenes. Oh...and I liked Andre took Nosy Nurse's advice. Okay...and he is a lover of wine...which made me think of what you all mentioned earlier about if Andre happen to be a good cook. Or I'll go farther and say a chef...who would know what wine would pair perfectly with a specific meal. I felt that Anita talking to Vernon this episode was very meta. Not only for Vernon's role as a politician and in civil rights, but in the fact of there being a black patriarch on a soap and her as a matriarch. A lot of us watched soaps when we were young and were inspired by some of who we saw right along with our mothers and/or grandmothers. So for a moment, it made me wonder if there were other young people (or younger) who might see that scene and have the same feeling. Just a great awww moment. Meanwhile, I loved how subtly crafty they were being throughout the episode. I always love seeing Caroline. Oooh...that's the product placement you all were talking about. How old school cute! I love the use of flashbacks. Naomi's memory of Bill (can we get one of her with Hayley?) and Hayley's flashback of what Dani told her about 'past is prologue' were very well-done. God, Tamara Tunie is sooooo good. She gives so many good background reactions and looks even when she is not the center of a scene (and when she is hehe), and it was really on display this episode and I loved it. Hmmm...not sure how I feel about Jacob's storyline as of yet. I just continue to feel regardless of what his father says, it is not all what it seems. But intrigued. A minor complaint for me. And I say again minor...it seems like the A story from go was Dani/Bill/Hayley with B story centered nicely around Nicole. I think I am just used to one or the other being dominant in a week with several subplots going on that felt loosely adjacent. Nicole's story has been nicely paced for me. But with the main part of Dani's story done...it just feels...??? haphazard. Heck, right now Dani feels C plot for me. I know she needs to be honestly, I think I'm just being impatient for the next main part in her plot.
