  1. I really don't think so. I certainly would love to see it, but I don't really believe it will happen.
  2. Yes. He seems like a really good guy. I'm glad he was there to support KBJ. The way she was treated by most of the Republicans was shameful.
  3. I didn't know they were bragging about it online. It's such an atrocity that I did wonder for a minute if it was propaganda. Not the missile itself, but the piece of it that had "for the children" on it. Obviously. it turned out to be real. I understand that children always suffer and die in war, but to purposely target them is true evil.
  4. Can this really be true? Why on earth would Russians write something so awful on a missile? This complete lack of humanity is beyond me. I wish the UN would set up humanitarian corridors.
  5. Me too because she was extraordinarily qualified and she deserved to be confirmed. Meanwhile, the Republicans couldn't even bother to clap with the exception of Mitt Romney. What a disgrace.
  6. I started watching Y&r again after about a four year break. Whenever it was they decided to kill Hillary off. I came back for Diane, but I started watching at the beginning of season 49 (Near the Victoria/Ashland wedding). My main thoughts after binging about 20 episodes are I love new Noah and Adam. Finally, I think they found the right Noah. I like Sally, love the actress. I hate Ashland. Melissa O has grown as an actress. It's impressive. Plus I can't believe how much I am grieving for KSJ. I keep expecting Neil to show up and he doesn't. I didn't expect that to hurt as much as it does after all this time.
  7. Let me just counter point a little by saying that 90lbs Erica Kane slapped many a person harder. It's not like punched CR and then beat him down. Plus Chris Rock really handled that situation with grace which I've said before. He had great control. He didn't even hit back verbally. People will see what they want to see though, so I'm sure plenty of people saw the worst.
  8. Maybe I'm a sucker, but I feel sorry for Will Smith. Hopefully, he won't get in real trouble for this. Obviously I feel bad for Chris and Jada too. It's just an all around mess.
  9. It wasn't a punch. It was a bitch slap. There is slow motion footage on twitter.
  10. I'm with you. The nature of the economy worries me. The economy is doing well for the wealthy and upper middle class. People trying to buy their first house are struggling. Plus food, gas and rent are all up as we all know. It's not Biden's fault, but I fear Democrats are going to take the hit. We'd be in a better position if he could have gotten his economic plan through. Now he's announced a tax on billionaires, which I could not support more, but he doesn't have Manchin on board yet. I hate to see another failure, but we'll see.
  11. Possibly. I found it incredibly annoying, but I still approve of Biden overall. There is really nothing that he is capable of doing to change that. I think statements like the one he made today simply highlight the fact that our (western) hands are tied. Same with his comment that chemical weapons are a red line. Really? We've heard that before and we all know how that ended. The risk of engagement are far higher this time around. Sadly, I expect Putin (not Russia) to come out ahead. Just like Kim Jong Un, I don't think he cares one bit how many Russians starve or how many he has to send to prison camps.
  12. Please. I'm more than willing to do the ill wishing here. I don't wish him dead mind you, but I do hope he has to resign from the court. He and his ilk have no trouble harming others, so I have no problem wishing harm to him. Meanwhile, he is probably just fine. This board has always been full of optimists when it comes to bad guys doing us the courtesy of dying.
  13. ^ I do remember when you said that. Good for them. Everyone should move on from monarchy AFAIC.
  14. What!? Every once in awhile this man says something reasonable. It's disconcerting.
  15. So many of our leaders are an embarrassment to the nation. I can't watch these hearings live or I will lose my mind. Well, at least my voice from screaming at the screen. I love that her answer is so basic. She explains it to him like he's two.
  16. What a shame. 🤣 I can't believe this is real life.
  17. I agree. At the same time I like SW so much this will bring me back into the fold after a years long hiatus.
  18. I didn't realize it was this bad. Damn.
  19. 🤣 That name. I've never been sure at what age the Holocaust should be brought up. Industrialized murder on that scale is just so grim. I think it can cause a lot of existential angst. With my children I don't get a choice. Their Hebrew school just digs right into it from kindergarten on. One thing I've noticed is that children's minds tend to only absorb what they can process. Nate understands his teacher's grandparents were killed, but he doesn't seem to understand that millions are people were killed because they were Jews. The older they get the deeper the understanding becomes. As for slavery, I think kids can understand that starting around 2nd grade. I don't see any point in hiding the facts and reality from them. I don't understand why parents want to hide what their ancestors did from kids. Hell, I don't even know the names of my great grand parents. I don't feel the least need to protect their reputations.
  20. This is why Biden is probably right, but I find it hard to take.
  21. I think he is right not to lead us into war with Russia. I just wish he wasn't so honest about it. I'm also glad I'm not the one who has to make these choices.
  22. So it looks like Russia has taken Brittney Griner from the WNBA hostage. Sure, they say she had drugs, but those f*ckers are probably lying. I'd like to hear her side of the story. I wish Biden would stop telling Russia what we aren't going to do. Why not let the possibility of military intervention stay on the table. Telling him point blank we won't step in is like writing him a blank check. He now knows he can do whatever he wants.
  23. Yeah, I can't get passed the 200 failed attempt thing. Completely unacceptable.
