HBO: Game of Thrones
HBO has one heck of an interactive viewer's guide. How impressive! http://viewers-guide.hbo.com/season3/#!/locations/village-of-the-lhazareen/

HBO: Game of Thrones
I'd say there is a chance. This is total speculation on my part, but I suspect that the ultimate showdown of this series will happen at the wall (or maybe Winterfell). I suspect that many of our main characters will end up there one way or the other. P.S. Darrio is very....attractive.

I guess I didn't mind. I thought Joff looked pretty scared when Tywin walked up those stairs to the iron throne. He physically shrank back. Plus, Joff is an arrogant idiot. He thinks being the king protects him. Tyrion, Cersei and (even) Jaime are smarter than Joff.

HBO: Game of Thrones
Tywin has to humor Joffery, since all it takes is one word from Joff and Tywin's head is on a spike. Given that, I thought Tywin did a pretty good job of letting Joffrey know who the real boss is. If I were Joff, I'd be very worried right now. Not sure GRRM does much without a reason. This is a very long story.

Good point, Q. One thing I liked about this episode was that Jaime got some of his cockiness back.

HBO: Game of Thrones
Right, but Melisandre can see things in her flames, so it's easy to believe she knows about Gendry. I understand why some of these changes are necessary. People can only follow so many characters at once and every new one costs money. Viewers already have some investment in Gendry, so I can see why they'd rather not add a character that people may not care that much about. Plus, when you think of all the story lines from the books, consolidation was a must. I don't love it, but I can accept it because they are doing so much right, imo.

She's not, but she sure does act like one.

I'm guessing that disfigured girl babies don't rate a mention in Westeros. Notice that Selyse didn't even think the little girl was worth a few mins of Stannis's time. I thought it was pretty sweet that she wanted to teach Davos to read.

HBO: Game of Thrones
Yeah, that was a really good scene. Cersei was gloating, but Tywin knocked her down a few notches. I almost feel sorry for her. Sansa could (and almost did) do much worse than Tyrion. Jaime/Brieanne was interesting too. I think she won him over with the sort of unflappable honor that Ned had. Also, interesting that it may have been Ned who ruined Jaime, in a sense. It seems like he started living down to people's lowest expectations once he was named a Kingslayer. Is Peyter romantically interested in Sansa? If so, that's beyond foul. I sort of wish Tywin hadn't found out about the Tyrell's plot.

HBO: Game of Thrones
I think the look of this show is helped by the fact that they have the budget to film on location. I thank god for that. This show would look so cheesy otherwise. I wonder how long Varys had that Wizard locked in the box? That was pretty creepy. I love how horrified Tyrion is by some of the things that go down in King's Landing. He should ride north and join Robb. Does anyone remember if they decided to make book 3 into 2 seasons? I'm really starting to worry that GRRM won't be able to keep pace. My dream is that the release of the 7th book could coincide with the last season of the show so that spoiling would be at a minimum, but if the show outpaces him, that's trouble, imo. I guess it could be like the Sopranos, where you don't get a season every year.

HBO: Game of Thrones
What I liked about the chair scene was that Cersei was clever enough to think outside the box and get closer to her father than all the other ass kissers. Still, Tyrion proved that he was even more clever by putting himself on nearly equal footing with his father by taking the other head of the table. It's really too bad that Tyrion is on the wrong side (from my perspective) of the war of the five kings. Even now that we've seen the white walker army it's hard to remember that the real battle hasn't even started. The seven kingdoms are fighting a civil war, while the real barbarians are at the gate. One good thing about GoT's is that the real questions haven't even been answered in the books yet. I'm betting HBO will catch up to GRRM before they are, so no one will be spoiled on the real issues. For example, I have no idea if I'm supposed to believe that the "Lord of Light" is a good god.

HBO: Game of Thrones
Yes, I read them years ago, but I'm being careful not to give any spoilers, so as not to ruin it for others. Plus, the writers are changing the show enough that every episode still surprises me. I actually wondered if Jaime might keep his hand, like Tyrion got to keep his nose, but I think fans would have revolted. I liked the way Cersei made mention of Tyrion's nose on the show. It was a nice little shout out to the books. She seemed so disappointed he still had it.

HBO: Game of Thrones
Even though Jaime is not as smart as Tyrion, he is very intelligent. He's brutal in some ways, but I think he respects Brienne because she has a naive sense of honor. He didn't have to save her, but he did because he respects her integrity. I think the show opened with Jaime doing one of the worst things a person can do (trying to kill a child), now it's either relative redemption or death. I can only imagine what Tywin is going to have to say about all this once he finds out. I thought Dany had some interesting scenes this episode, I can't wait to see what happens next for her. You can tell she loathes the master of the unsullied.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I'm impressed anyone can remember. I watched seasons 1 and 2 for the first time about 3 weeks ago and I'll be damned if I can remember all the break up and makeups. It's like all a big blur of fighting, even though I enjoyed it.

HBO: Game of Thrones
I think it's both. Maergery understands that she needs the love of the people. Tyrion was smart enough to know that too. Cersei is too arrogant and Joffery too crazy to care.

Me too. That could be a lot of fun as long as she has a good personality.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Yep, but I agree that this seems likely and would explain a lot. That's why I have a lot of compassion for both of them, even though they are hot messes. People want to believe that therapy fixes everything, but it doesn't. These two obviously need help, but it'll be nothing short of a long, hard road. It seems almost irresponsible for Brovo to keep Kim because it seems like she's only getting worse under the spotlight, not that I know that for sure, since I only see what Brovo shows me.

Kyle is a really interesting character to me. I think some day we are going to find out that absolutely horrific things happened to Kim and/or Kyle in their childhood. It's not an excuse for Kyle's behavior, but I do think that certain experiences can be formative and are not easily overcome. Kathy seems healthier. Maybe because we haven't seen to much of her or maybe because she escaped whatever happened, since she was older. The relationship between Kyle/Kim is just so unhealthy and interdependent. It's like Kyle really needs Kim to be sick. She's obsessed with her sister on some strange level. The way she was spying on her in Hawaii was just OTT. Sometimes you have to just let things go and let other people live. Kyle seems completely incapable of that. She has a husband and 4 kids and yet the primary relationship in her life seems to be her sister. I really do not understand why Kyle would let her relationship with Lisa crumble, but I suspect it's show drama to some extent. Kyle seemed markedly nicer in season 1. I'm a little suspicious that the producers asked her to create more drama. idk.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Do you mean because Kyle doesn't have implants? Or because she's out classed. I kind of like it that they have a couple of people on the lower end of the BH's ladder on the show. Makes it a little more interesting to me.

I agree. I feel for Porsha. Not every one is born with a high IQ. Being a little dim isn't a choice. I think she was definitely in this marriage for the long haul and she thought her husband was too. I think she tried to do things like charitable work and have children. She talked about having a career, but I'm not sure what she was talking about exactly, since I haven't seen all of season 5 yet. If Kordell is gay, he not only defies most stereotypes, but he's unlike any gay man I've ever known. It seems more likely he's bi. I just can't see a man being so controlling of a woman who was merely a beard. No, I've seen 1, 2 and part of 5. 5 is actually what got me into the RH's franchise. 3 sounds good, so I look forward to seeing it, once i get through all of 5 and season 3 of BH.

I'm going to have to add Kenya to my list of favorites. I think she's got a really good personality. Her "fabulous" video was genius. Then you add her issues with being an unmarried woman in her 40's who wants children and her breast cancer scare, all these issues are good reality TV, imo. I'm not entirely sure how much acting Kenya is doing, but I always like watching her.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Actually, I think Lisa is the true master at knowing what fans want. She is quite perfect. She has the glamor, but she always makes sure to point out that she has a work ethic. She has a great sense of humor. She's also very quick to point out her insecurity (not really the right word, since I think Lisa is very confident) around Camille and Brandi's physical perfection. I think she has done a very good job of putting herself as much on the side of this show's target audience as she possibly could given her own wealth and beauty. She's really the whole package, imo. Nene is great with the humor, but she also shows vulnerability. I guess Kim Z sort of hits the Honey Boo Boo part of the audience. Some people love trashy. I see Kim Z as very smart. I think she knew exactly how she portrayed herself. She's the anti-Lisa in many ways. She went out of her way to shove her conspicuous consumption in people's faces, but she managed to be entertaining. Brandi, I haven't seen enough of her yet. I'm just starting season 3 of BH. I think she is so beautiful, that it's probably very difficult for large sections of the female audience to relate to her. Still, being publicly humiliated by EC makes her more sympathetic. I may envy her perfect ass, but how could I not sympathize with her when she ran into the waitress that was screwing her husband at Lisa's party? Kyle and Kim also made me feel for Brandi when they ganged up on her and made her tear up during game night. They did her a favor there, imo.

But that led to the best Real Housewives inspired video (I'm Fabulous) ever, so it was well worth it.
