  1. I don't recall Winter being in love with Miles as Danfling states. Winter was involved with Logan. According to the Edge website, Denise told Nicole that Winter was Miles' mistress and Miles' drunken father caused the deaths of Winter's parents.
  2. Patrick Mulcahey and Nancy Williams Watt were announced as head writers in the spring of 1994. They lasted a very brief time and were then replaced by the mega head writing team. Closing credits online show Mulcahey as part of that team as of August 1994. At that point, the team was Laiman, Demorest, Mulcahey, Watt, and Taggart. King does not appear in the credits at that point. By September, Mulcahey's name was gone and again no sign of King in the credits. King's name does show up in December 1994 credits when Demorest was sole head writer, likely right before Anderson took over. At one point, I believe Sheri Anderson was also part of the mega head writing team. Oops. This is a AW board, isn't it? But it just proves how incestuous daytime is with its scribes.
  3. I don't recall King head writing GL. I think he was on the team of writers during Douglas Anderson and Megan McTavish's stints in 1994 and 1995 and then moved over to AW. As for the videos being posted, I loved Judy Cassmore as Margo. She was such a welcome addition to AW but then they killed her off. What a waste!
  4. Yep. You're right. One episode dealt with the Henderson folks as the river began to crest. That episode featured the longtime Search theme song and ended with the flood hitting. The next episode showed the immediate aftermath, with Jo and others struggling in the water and then cut to the new opening credits and theme song.
  5. A flood ravaged the town of Henderson around February 1986. Afterward, most of the characters went to live in an apartment building called Liberty House, which also included a restaurant/club. It was done as a last-ditch effort to goose the ratings. There's lots of discussion about the flood and its aftermath -- and links to episodes -- here in this board.
  6. I thought they made it to January 1986. I think we saw Sarah's murder, Wendy's departure, and Patti's arrival. I remember being terribly disappointed because we were right around the corner from Stephanie's murder and then the flood.
  7. Jo didn't get her house back. She still had a place at Liberty House. The house seen in the final episodes was the McCleary home. And I don't think Jo had a house. In the episodes that are popping up on YouTube, she seems to have an apartment. After that, she moved into the Caldwell House.
  8. Most were living in Liberty House after the flood. But the McClearys got their homestead back at some point. There's an episode after the flood where the McCleary boys go back to their flood-ravaged home. At some point, they moved back into the house along with matriarch Kate. I believe it was a different set at that point though could be wrong.
  9. I think Peter Haskell was still there when Mayer and Stephanie Braxton took over as head writers. Plus Louise Shaffer was still on as Stephanie. Mayer and Braxton were utterly wrong for SFT. They had the God-awful circus storyline with TR and Ryder. They all but destroyed Sunny and made her rivals with Liza.
  10. They did share the same time slot until ABC moved Ryan's Hope to noon in 1984. Ellen Barrett, who was executive producer of Search in 1984, held the same role at Ryan's Hope in 1982-83. Aside from Shaffer, Search also had Peter Haskell who had played Hollis Kirkland on RH. Search also had Patrick James Clarke as Jack Benton, who raped Sunny in 1984. Clarke had played Pat Ryan on RH.
  11. He saved a couple things of Michael -- his school ruler and his wallet with his initials on it. His mom still lives in the area so Michael drives her by to see the old homestead. We've told him on Facebook that they should drop in!
  12. I don't recall seeing her in any other shows. Cord and Victoria weren't around long at all -- introduced and then written out in 1984. It's cool watching these episodes. I remember disliking Michael Corbett immensely as Warren Carter. Fast forward to 2010 and whose childhood home do I end up buying but Corbett's. Sadly, the previous owner didn't know much about Corbett and chucked tons of his memorabilia that had been left behind in the house.
  13. Marion Woods played Victoria. I remember watching SFT at the time and being surprised that the show now had a big Irish-American family, an Irish bar, and the same bartender who appeared on Ryan's Hope. I always felt it was done to emulate the Ryans.
  14. The photog was Brett Hamilton and played by Brett Porter. He was connected with bad boy Warren Carter. Porter was married to Guiding Light's Liz Keifer in the 80s. I remember him from Loving as well. Personally, I loved Lloyd when Peter Haskell played the role. He had amazing chemistry with Maree Cheetham's Stephanie. I assume Haskell left to join Rituals. If memory serves me well -- and I could be wrong -- Lloyd had five kids. There was Michael, who blind and played by Thomas Sullivan. Or was Michael Lloyd's brother? There was Steve, played by Philip Brown. Steve, I think, turned out to be Martin Tourneur's son. The character briefly returned in the fall of 1985 with another actor but quickly written out. Then there were Chase (Kevin Conroy) and Alec (Robert Curtis Brown), who were both in love with Adair McCleary (Page Hannah). They were all pivotal characters in 1984. In 1985, Alec was written out and Chase and Adair recast. Robert Wilson, who played Channing Capwell Jr. on Santa Barbara, assumed the role of Chase and Susan Carey Lamm took over the role of Adair. Both were written out toward the end of 1985 with little fanfare.
  15. She was Rose Turner on Y&R http://theyoungandtherestless.wikia.com/wiki/Rose_Turner I didn't care for Justine. I felt like she ate the show during that period, only to be written out in 1985. By the by, Page Hannah is Daryl's sister.
  16. Redhead with Chase: Adair McCleary, played by Page Hannah and later played by Susan Carey Lamm. Adair was in a love triangle with Chase and Alec Kendall. Redhead on couch: Justine Calvert, played by Leslie Stevens who was on Y&R last year. Justine was a foil for Cagney and Suzie and was almost murdered around New Year's Eve 1984/1985.
  17. Brilliant! I loved the following line: "With that deep voice Jill has whose to say she is a woman." And the church bus? That was awesome!
  18. I had the same reaction. I don't think Marcello was that popular. The character was only around for about 18 months. By the by, it appears that Eddie Drueding's AW page is gone. I tried accessing it but no luck.
  19. I believe that's Pam Wagner, John's niece. She was played by Robin Morse, daughter of actor Robert Morse. And long-haired dude is Beau Farrell and was played by Neil Maffin.
  20. I believe she refurbished Company while Laibson was still executive producer. They debuted the new set, which was then quickly redesigned when Rauch came on board as executive producer at the end of 1996. Just dawned on me that Laibson redesigned Company and redid the theme sing in 1996 and both changes were very unpopular with the audience.
  21. Bridget arrived in 1991 and was introduced by Nancy Curlee, Stephen Demorest, and James Reilly. Broderick didn't arrive until late 1991 or early 1992 when Curlee left on maternity leave.
  22. Rauch back-burnered Bridget after he became executive producer. She had little to do in 1997 and was then phased out in June of that year, a few months before Cassie appeared.
  23. There was no arc. She (and Lisa Brown as Nola) returned for Vanessa and Billy's wedding. They appeared at Company and then at the wedding.
  24. As others pointed out, that was indeed Meg Myles as Mavis Stone. Meg also played Sid Brennan on The Edge of Night in the early 1980s. I think the McCleary brothers became prominent in the titles because they became the focus of the show. Granted, there was less McCleary here, but there was another episode -- post-flood -- that was only the three brothers as they went back to their childhood home to see what they could salvage. And the only McCleary missing in this episode was Hogan. Adair and Kate were already gone and the recast Kate and Malcolm/Matt did't arrive until around September.
  25. I've never seen Tripp credited as playing Jeff but there is an AMC episode on YouTube that features the actor.
