I've been a bit sick for about a week so I am not 100% fresh, but I literally fell asleep at 1pm while watching GH today. I was that bored. It was just a power nap, but I woke up and saw Natalia and Sidwell with Lucy and Maxie looking like a pilgrim and I realized I missed nothing.

NuSophia is playing the role too meek and almost scared. It doesn't work. She doesn't even feel like a viable option for Tate because she's not even trying to get him. I agree that Ron has talent and good ideas. He has a tough time executing them and also seems to burn out quickly. He ends up reusing the same ideas. I have definitely liked stories he has penned on all his shows, but the bad outweighs the good. Jamey is just not a good writer for soaps. His blogs and some of his daytime confidential stuff were funny. I appreciate his true love of the genre. I don't think he's a bad person. It's just very much a practical fanfiction writer getting a soap writing job which requires a lot more personal editing and long term plotting. But listen if I was writing Days every episode would probably have Marlena in it and no Leo or Alex ever so I can't be objective lol.

I have to agree with @AbcNbc247 about Sophia. MK was a real find. The recast is merely adequate. I am not sure why Days can't keep their younger cast. Hopefully nuSophia will improve, but MK had the right mix of sympathetic schemer from day one.

1. Peter was bitten by a bug. I think a mosquito and developed jungle madness on the Hope, John, et al Jungle trip. 2. Stefano found a cure for Jungle Madness before Peter turned himself in. Peter has been referenced several times since 2019 and multiple times this year. It seems like he's fine? I doubt the show would ever reference Jungle Madness now that Ron has been fired if Peter ever came back.

That could 100% happen lol. Aside from Frank loving CM I am not sure the show would kill another Monica (adopted, pseudo) kid especially given LC's recent passing. I really don't care one way or the other about Drew. I just feel like there is a bit more drama in Drew hitting rock bottom and trying to climb out. That being said FV will go for the least dramatic thing possible and kill him off and do a lame murder mystery where Joss will crack the case!

Or that there haven't been numerous case of the Dimera's using the memory serum on people? I am perfectly willing to suspend disbelief on a lot of things that happen in Salem. I just don't understand why Rafe isn't saying he has no memory of anything before he woke up at the house.

Hmmm...I am more of the mind that Drew will just have a huge downfall and won't be killed off. I could absolutely be wrong, but I actually think that would be more satisfying to see him lose everything.

I hate when characters just don't articulate the obvious like Rafe today. Instead of explicitly stating he has no memory of anything even his own name we have scenes and scenes of him just saying he has no idea what anyone is talking about. I know it's to keep the plot going or whatever, but a simple declaration from Rafe would have helped Shawn and Jada along with this.

I see your point. I definitely agree she fits right in and hasn't missed a beat. That is what makes the whole return more frustrating to me. Lois doesn't need to spend all her time with her boring spawn and her infertile husband. At this point Brook and Chase could leave the show forever and I wouldn't miss them at all. It's a shame that this is what Ned and Lois's daughter has become. I am embarrassed to admit this, but I actually thought Trina/Kai were kind of cute the last few days. That doesn't excuse the non story of this pairing or anything. It's just the first time I saw a bit of spark between the actors.

Actually, me too. I think the show was just entirely a mess and Jason/Carly, Sonny/Ava, Carly/Jagger, Ava/Jagger were all being played with and nothing really ended up happening. I still can't believe everyone was just 🤷‍♀️ about Jagger's death. I don't have a lot of love for Wagger, but c'mon.

Yup. It 100% would have been Sidwell if not for Frank's desire to make Eva relevant. Rena should never be just scraping by with the worst material. This has been a horrible return. Not even Brenda horrible because at least the show used Brenda. Lois is practically a background character at this point. Ugh they had sex multiple times post-that limo sex. They got remarried and had a whole ass useless child post-Jax. Rena just has a better presence than Setton even though Setton's early work was promising in other roles. She lost some spark along the way or something.

Yes! Lois is in the age range of slightly older than Brenda but younger than Sonny. Apparently she's decided to live like a nun for the last 25 years outside the Alcazar romance-which we won't discuss. Rena is hot and should be considered viable. I was thinking today she projects years younger than her own daughter and not because of Setton's wardrobe. Just because Lois seems fun and men should be knocking down her door.

Michael/Morgan were definitely younger. The original limo sex was to usher off Dylan Cash as Michael when he got shot in the head. I get your point though. Both Brook Lynn and Dante seem much older than their actual age. Dante was played as a sexy leading man once, but it doesn't seem to be the case anymore. Setton's BLQ was sexless upon arrival lol. It's also aging up Lois a lot. Olivia was a teen mom, so sure. But Lois was an adult when she had BLQ. It's ridiculous for her to have a full grown grandson. They should have honestly just given Lois an ex-husband* and Gio as her kid. *ETA upon further thought the ex-husband would have been Sidwell so NVM.

I really, really hope seeing Violet again is not a given. At least recast the obnoxious, singing girl. I have no problem with finally giving Rena anything to do. This is just the worst possible story for her. BLQ could have been scared and not asked a lot of questions, but for an adult woman like Lois, who has always been known for her bluntness and honesty, it just feels off. At least bring Olivia in as a co-conspirator that was protecting her son too from the same future she faced.

Hope not about Easton. I would be more upset about having to see Violet again though tbh. I think the show is going to walk back a bit on the Lois fallout. It's already so wildly out of character I hope the show just moves it along and does the reveal. You know I said I wanted a Lois return for at least 25 years and now I just want to move on from this debacle and pretend it all didn't happen.

On soaps I suppose the DNA connection is fine, but IRL you would just get a sperm donor who gave consent, got evaluated medically, and move on. You would never choose a donor with a long history of addiction that barely got out of rehab a few months ago unless your main goal is to have a moody, brooding child with floppy hair. Then Finn fits the bill. I don't really see any meat in the Gio reveal. Sure, there will be some fallout from Lois/Brook keeping the secret, but Gio is like the nicest guy ever. No one would be disappointed about having him as a kid and he has no living parents (adoptive) so how hurt is he going to be? Yeah, the Joss stuff is so stupid it just gives me an eyeroll and a chuckle. It's all so serious and Brennan's basis was you are young, pretty and like to talk. WTF?

I am pretty sure Joss was going to be a doctor and then changed her major to environmental sciences or something back in the PM days when everyone was having a career existential crisis. Which is a degree that sounds snoozy even for soaps. I think we are supposed to believe at least Jax is smart so maybe Joss is, but judging by her parents decision making for the last 30 years I have a tough time buying that. James would have already solved Cyrus's murder, global warming, famine and hunger, and possibly figured out Michael is Sasha's baby daddy if given half the chance.

No, I firmly believe James is more intelligent and has more streets smarts than Joss even if he's only 10.

Even if I pretend Joss has some sort of ability to be a spy, the girl has zero chill. The minute she found out Jason was arrested she immediately cracked and acted suspicious. Pretty much everyone in the cast including Donna and James would be more believable as super spies. And, yes, @AbcNbc247 we have been hearing about this Miami trip for months. Brad is acting like he's going on a trip of a lifetime not a city in Florida. I assume we are only going to see Brad and Lucas in a hotel set so I don't understand all this hype and the Brad's working out to get in shape nonsense. Is the show making fun of Perry Shen or something?

Joss as a WSB agent is one of the stupider ideas the show has ever had. I am sure Jax and Carly's spoiled daughter will be great at saving the world.😂

None of these Setton/Swickard media articles linked about their beliefs are new.

I feel like we have the same Swickard/Setton convo a lot on the GH thread. Yes, they have certain beliefs. Good for them. No, I do not think it's appropriate if you are an actor on a soap and this may not be the right business for them. At the end of the day that's not their fault. GH is at fault for kowtowing to their "wishes" at the detriment of the coupling and show. There is no reason to make them this sexy, hot, newlywed couple when it's going to be an issue during key intimacy scenes.
