I couldn't remember if we were in the Kelly is everything era or the Kelly might leave because of contract talks era. I guess we were in between lol. I probably worded it wrong. I don't think Robin would have lost against Sam for Jason, but I think Sam would have gotten some sympathy for getting pushed to the side and look like a victim. I can't really picture Robin/BM's Jason together. I probably wouldn't have hated it. In regard to Brenda and Sam I do remember the scenes where they were at Jason's penthouse talking and Sam basically spilled her guts to Brenda and said so Sonny and I had a baby, it died, and I also dated Jax, Alexis is my mom, and now I am with Jason. Vanessa/Brenda's reaction was like that was a hell of an overshare. You don't need to tell me all this. It was awkward but hilarious. The relationship was always so neutral. They shared scenes but it was never friendly nor competitive. I can't even remember Brenda/Courtney sharing a scene. I am sure they did, but it was nothing.

I think there was a high probability KMc/Robin would have gotten thrown under the bus for Sam eventually as well even if Steve wanted a Robin pairing. I can't remember where we were at in the Kelly Monaco era when Robin returned. It made sense Robin would have moved on with her life. Robin was too smart and levelheaded to be hung up on Jason after the way they broke up. Robin and Jason were by far my favorite Jason romance, but I totally got why she wouldn't want to go there again. It made me a little sad though. Anyhow, the pivot to the Scrubs/Hospital stories worked for the most part. Robin/Patrick got some silly material, but I am fine with them being endgame since I don't believe we will ever see KMc back full time again. Hopefully we will get to see BB and KMc act together as Emma/Robin at some point.

A lot of that period felt ugly. The show, the writing, the acting, even the fanbases. It wasn't entirely unwatchable just very contentious, and everyone was unhappy. Steve did seem to prefer being paired with "good girls"-and he never saw Carly as a viable love interest IMO.

Oh, haha, I made up my own ending for Vaughn I guess. If he is still in town I assume he will show up again. I think yesterday was more of an attempt to give Brick something to do-which don't get me started. It's enough I have to watch him flirt with Carly every few months like its cute. Anyhow, it does feel like the Joss story flopped and shelved and maybe they are resetting it now? Tying it all up and moving on hopefully. Dumping Brennan finally in the process.

I would say it's odd it seems like the show had no initial plans for Liam/Nortrop, but it's Days. Maybe they did, but it got stalled by the way the show tapes? At least the show didn't go the cheap route and tie him to Roman (yet).

Wasn't Vaughn sent elsewhere? On another assignment or something as punishment? Or did I make that up lol? I didn't think about Vaughn in relation to Joss's idiotic plot, so he obviously didn't leave much of an impression. It's typical GH to start something and abandon it with a whimper and little thought. Anyhow, I won't lose sleep over it. Unfortunately, that means the show will probably have to hire another love interest for Joss soon or worse they throw her in a triangle with Gio/Emma!

Yes, that period was filled with palpable tension. You could tell there were personal issues. I guess I don't really get Mo/Steve hating TK and by extension TB for doing her job. Alcazar wasn't that popular lol.

Mo's book is pretty good. It wasn't amazing, but I got through it pretty quickly. I didn't feel the utmost sincerity when MB said he apologized to TB and felt bad, but they seem to be okay now. I don't know if Ted King is okay with MB or SBu though lol. I am often perplexed by Mo in general. He doesn't seem to have bad intent, but at the same time seems to think quite highly of himself. He loves to work as Sonny, but won't play certain stories. He doesn't appear to put in the work to remember his lines, but most coworkers rave about him.

I read Mo's book and he openly admits he and Steve made TB cry and weren't very nice to her. I think they both apologized or at least Mo did. I don't remember him specifying why they had issues but I read it during Covid so it's been a while. The rumors at the time were that Mo wasn't thrilled with TB/Carly being onboard with an Alcazar pairing. I believe both Steve and Mo did not like the fact Ted King/Alcazar was popular and sometimes even getting the upper hand on Sonny and Jason.

Thanks! That sounds more accurate than my retelling lol. For some reason I thought SBu specifically didn't want to be paired with SJB and much preferred his pairing with KMc. I swear I heard a rumor years ago that it was because Sarah smoked (at the time). Lol! It's crazy, but it stuck in my head so I had to have read it somewhere. You are so right about Steve actively playing against his feelings for Carly for so long it's difficult to say. I agree they were going to pair the two before Steve quit and Sonny/Carly was more of an accident than a long-term plan. They were also teasing Jason with Liz fairly innocently at the time. In some ways when it did pop up again I always felt it was Carly that was in love with Jason, but he never was romantically in love with her. Other times the show played her so fiercely with Sonny it's hard for me to tell.

Agree about Britt, but everyone knows I hate her lol. I also agree about Joss/Eden. She is so smug all the time and always has been. At least the show seems to be pulling back on her story and I don't have to see her 4 times a week. Eden isn't a bad actress. The show just writes against her strengths. Bringing out a haughty, bitchy, and even more comedic Joss fits Eden as an actress. This romantic spy heroine nonsense isn't working.

Thank you for the detailed response. I guess the assumption would be that Chad would know through Abigail. Well, that seems more relevant than Jen's pill addiction, but I suppose the concern for Chad would be Jen harming the children if she relapsed where Jack has been a changed man for years.

Carly and Jason had a sexual relationship while he was still dating Robin. Jason thought it was "okay" because of his brain damage and the fact that Robin was worried it would be unsafe to have sex with Jason due to her HIV status. I think at some point Robin/Jason may have been broken up. KMc was off at school. Robin actually knew Carly/Jason had a few dalliances. IMO, Carly was always friendzoned. Jason just liked having sex with her. It wasn't serious. Fast forward to Tony, Michael, Aj and all that jazz and Jason pretending to be the father. Jason knew he was not the father from the start. He loved Michael and did have feelings for Carly of deep friendship. Jason was still all about Robin. In 1999, I think SB's Carly and Jason were heading somewhere. Robin was gone. But he was hanging out with Liz and Carly assumed there was something going on and slept with Sonny. Steve Burton was already set to leave and that was that. There were rumors SB wasn't keen to be paired with Sarah J. Brown's Carly. To me, that's the last time there was any chance for Carly/Jason no matter how much the show pretends Jason and LW's Carly are some weird sort of soul mates. Carly was definitely shifted to Sonny most of the time. Sorry for the long post but that's probably the easiest way to break down their history.

I'd rather Carly/Sonny again than Valentin/Carly. I said what I said...lol. You know I want Kevin/Lucy back together too. It's not like GF/JL have any real chemistry. The relationship doesn't real move any of Laura's story. You know Donnell Turner is just waiting for his chance lol

I think there are places to take Sonny currently on canvas that the show or Mo just aren't willing to do. It's annoying to me that BTS stuff is ruining drama that can be done. I don't agree with all the choices MB has made with Sonny over the years, but at least give him something to do besides having bestie chats with Laura and flirt with the DA like he is 25. I am okay with the Carly/Sonny relationship being done for real although I do consider that the most likely default. How long can Carly play Brennan? How often will JPS show up for a romance with her? Neither of these options are long term. Circling back to Laura, why are Kevin/Laura still a thing? JL pops up for 2 episodes and takes Ace with him? This is the most non-couple to ever exist. They never are even in the same place lol. I am not mad at JL for doing other things, but give them some conflict or something to explain the absences.

Oh, I am definitely much more of a fan when Brenda's in town. I think the Drew shooting theory is easy to get past for them. Willow will be exposed eventually. Brenda/Sonny and especially Carly/Sonny have had worse differences. I actually like Nina alone right now. I think she has enough to do that she doesn't need to be back in Sonny's orbit, but I agree it's an option.

I don't think the show would ever risk that hit. MB/Sonny does have fans besides me or so I've heard lol. I mean half their scenes taint the Alexis/Sonny romance dynamic, but it's the best option currently unless they put Nina/Sonny back together.

Well now I am curious lol! As far as the DA though, do it or don't GH. I don't need a one year build up for a romance that isn't important. We spent months on Sonny courting or semi dating bigot Natalia and now we have this. Throw him back with Alexis if this is all you can think for Sonny. She's been single forever too.

I know I have complained in the past about Sonny's lack of purpose. I understand he is not anyone's favorite here, but if GH continues to pay Mo and use him 4 days a week use him effectively. Sonny wanders around town having random scenes with different characters, but he has no story. He hasn't had a story in well over a year. I don't have any qualms about decreasing Sonny's airtime and having him fade into a more supporting role. That's not what the show is doing. He is still on all the time doing nothing. I have no idea why GH is wasting so much time with Sonny and the silly DA. No one cares about this possible romance.

@ranger1rg and I were discussing the things Chad and Jack/Jennifer did and didn't bring up at the mediation a few pages back. My question for you or anyone is does Chad know about the rape? Is it common knowledge or more of a family secret? I honestly don't recall who knows and who doesn't.

Probably got divorced? I usually call her Arianna Chase because I only know her Days work. I liked her during the Marlena/John affair story because she was the only Brady that wasn't judgy McJudgerson and understood there were crazy reasons this all happened.

Maybe Faison will be useful and take Nathan and Britt out at the same time?
