  1. Seeing Lois reduced to what she's doing now hurts me. Surely PM can find something for her to do other than what's going on right now. @DeliaIrisFanI think the show said Lois still works in the recording industry, but I don't remember in what capacity. L&B goes in and out of being a thing or in business, so I don't think she still has anything to do with that.
  2. Well, it seems like a return no one had any plans for lol, but that does make sense. I think Brook Lynn has mentioned more than once Lois was overbearing. And Lesli kay's short lived version of Lois was. It's not completely out of left field, but it still feels a bit out of character for Rena's Lois. Since Brook's entire childhood was basically off screen it's hard to say. Yeah, I remember Lois being at the wedding, but she didn't actually know Jagger except through Brenda. I can't think of any real one on one scenes with RS and ASJ. Possibly there was a scene at Kelly's when Jagger and Karen came back briefly when Stone was ill. I think Karen/Jagger spoke to Ned/Lois for a minute. So I would say Lois would know who Jagger is but only in an acquaintance sense. LLC never shared scenes with any Lois. Olivia did state she and Lois were friends when she first came to town though. I don't think Olivia ever said they were bffs or anything like that though.
  3. The way the show is utilizing Lois is odd. She doesn't really do a whole lot and it is disappointing. She hasn't been integrated with the cast at all really. Lois spends a lot of time with Olivia. Lois just really doesn't fit in with the any stories right unless they push her towards Sonny, which I don't think anyone would really want. I know Rena was available and the show jumped on that, but it doesn't feel like there was an actual plan for Lois besides sparring with Tracy, gossiping with Olivia, and planning Brook Lynn's wedding. Lois deserves better. For all I know they could be planning to pair Lois/Jagger lol. I don't think they even know one another that well, but I think they may have a few scenes back in the day.
  4. Even if they do tie Dex to Jagger, it doesn't help any story. Making Jagger his dad just makes Jagger his dad. Jagger has no ties to anyone. Sure, it might make Dex working for Sonny awkward, but that's about it. I remember Dex rambling on to Joss about his family but I can't remember what he said because he's boring. Would any of the things Dex said about his family even fit? I think he did say his mom was dead. I cringe when I don't edit my posts on here and see a big typo. Could you imagine releasing that book with those errors to the general public? Now, I am sure very few people saw it, but still....
  5. Thanks for the recommendations! I think the Grant Putnam story is what I have seen the most of and was probably the most interesting to me, so maybe I'll give it a go again.
  6. Thanks! I knew Guza had a lot planned out like Miranda and whatnot, but I am so curious to know what was Guza and what wasn't. The show definitely starts to go off the rails right around Laura's fake death and when Sonny/Brenda reunite. I don't know what it is from the 1987-89 period, but I just can't get into it. I don't know if I am just not interested in the combo of characters and couples or what. It seems like I should like it, but every time I start with that era I lose interest. Any story that is your particular favorite?
  7. He spelled Vanessa Marcil's name wrong?!!! DEAD TO ME. Also no one I have ever met named Carrie/Cari/Keri/whatever (including myself) has never used the spelling of the verb carry for their name.
  8. Culliton starts his GH stint in Aug 96 with Karen Harris. In Dec 96 he takes over as solo head writer. I spent years convinced I did like Duke/Anna as a couple because I should and most people do. I realized I like both actors and their chemistry, but not their story or them actually as a viable couple. I thought I was missing something, but I just don't think they work because of the different lifestyles like you said. I also agree they were written terribly in his last return. I think 1987-1989 is just a rough period for the show. It doesn't generally interest me either. True about Frisco/Felicia. I never watched them in real time and they are quite engaging watching back. I just feel like sometimes when I watch clips or edits I am missing something if that makes sense? Like the anticipation of having to wait the next day to see what happens and I lose some scope of how a story played overtime instead of in a few hours.
  9. More overrated than Sonny and Jason? Lol I actually don't love Duke/Anna. I think IB and FH have very good chemistry, but their stories weren't great or at least didn't catch my attention. I also didn't really get the hype or chemistry when they were re-paired about 10 years. Sometimes I think you miss some of the magic if you didn't see it in real time (which I assume you didn't?) and I think that might be the case for me here at least.
  10. This is one of the rare times I don't know what to expect from a new headwriter. It's makes me a bit excited. I am sure it will inevitably crash and burn, but I am cautiously optimistic.
  11. I am 99.9% sure in one of my thousands of posts on this forum I probably threw out a Jagger return at some point. I was even excited for his Nightshift return and figured he'd migrate to the main show. I can safely say that anyone on this thread or board that currently posts has not asked or pushed for a Jagger return in the year 2024 lol. I can't think of anyone on this board that even is a huge Jagger fan. Most GH fans on here have at best some nostalgia for him or just outright disgust because of his former portrayer. Probably pick up the current stories. I think at best we'd get a soft reboot and some stories would be quickly wrapped and some characters trimmed off the cast. I don't see Frank going for a full blown revamp.
  12. Thanks! Apparently Mr. Mize is so versatile I didn't even notice even though I watch both soaps everyday 😂🤷‍♀️. I am actually embarrassed for myself at this point.
  13. The recent one? The one Melinda blackmailed?
  14. It was a very weird short term obstacle for Patrick/Robin that really went nowhere lol. It was strange as it didn't really fit the Robin or Jagger character. The dad was an unbelievably bad actor. To the point I noticed-on GH-so that says a lot.
  15. I actually kind of want to see what Adam does next and how he copes and I hate myself for saying that. Well, yes, but nothing he did was very relevant. His son got diagnosed with Autism, he kissed Robin, and dated that pretty doctor and I guess moved back to San Fran
  16. Wait? You haven't been waiting 30 years for a Jagger return?😂 And to be very clear I actually really, really liked Jagger back in the day....and haven't really thought of him since he left. It feels a little redundant for Carly to hook up with another one of Brenda's exes. Even if it was a million years ago and neither care. Brenda dated about 4 people ever on the show and Carly's married 2 of them already. I'd rather Jason Cook return to Days..
  17. For sake of discussion, outside of law enforcement, which Dante, Chase, and Jordan cover what boxes does Jagger tick off that Jax doesn't? Jagger-mild rival for Sonny 30 years ago , might like Carly, and is FBI Jax-rival of Sonny's for 25 plus years, married to Carly, father to Joss, stepfather to Michael, takes over businesses on the daily, also dated Nina, once was very into Lois, and bff with Ned and Alexis. Jax has so much more relevance here lol. I am not advocating for Jax or Jagger to be back, but Jagger is a practical non-entity. And in general "this group" has never been praying for a Jagger return lol Exactly
  18. Tbh, I can't find any evidence he's actually an American citizen, so I don't even think he can vote. He just talks lol.
  19. Ingo's accent significantly changed over the years for sure. But you could still hear it lol even if it was much more diminished. He's still Australian.
  20. Okay, but Miguel Morez could show up not played by Ricky Martin, but as a blonde man singer/FBI agent and find Jason and it would have the same affect. There are no real ties or stakes here. He looks much more suited to Jax. I feel like you need the accent to be Jax though. Ted King was in talks with GH? Dammit....why did that fall apart?
  21. Sure? He could. But there are about 100 characters on the cast currently that would have a more vested interest in finding Jason lol. Jason's high school rival that he doesn't remember doesn't hold much weight here.
  22. Exactly. What is he going to do that another random FBI agent couldn't? Talk to Olivia about Leo? Go a few rounds with Sonny talking about things that happened decades ago? Say hi to Lois? Form a buddy cop team with Dante? It's such an odd choice to cast Jagger again when no one ask for it. Like...ever. Even when ASJ was on Nightshift pimping to get back on main GH and had some buzz no one cared. None of these characters need to spend their time talking to Jagger about the past. Maybe Scott. And also Jason doesn't remember Jagger at all so it would all be moot because he left town before Jason had his accident.
  23. I said Jax. But mostly because if Frank was casting out of spite, Ingo would be the first one to get recast. Not ASJ. He is still much more relevant than Jagger even if I don't see a need for him. And for everyone who keeps asking. No, Jagger has never specifically identified to any sort of race/ethnicity/background. The name Cates doesn't suggest anything in particular. Both Stone and Jagger looked darker and ethnic. Gina never did. But again, to me it's the same thing as casting Brenda with Terri Conn, KMH, or any of the other hilarious blondes that have been suggested in this thread. Brenda is to our knowledge Caucasian, but Vanessa clearly isn't. I'd have the same issue if Jax was cast with a non-Australian. No one likes Ingo, but if they cast an American white guy it wouldn't be right for Jax even though they are both white.
  24. I don't disagree with the sentiment. In fact I agree with the 2 year contract, but the fact we are trying to mandate Vanessa to make a decision to spend years of her life at this show so she can appear is odd. Rena is appearing in a recurring fashion and no one minds that.
  25. I don't really care if he can act. I am sure he can, but we are recasting an Italian ethnic actor with a very non Italian, ethnic actor. I am sure you can understand that's a bit bizarre and off putting.
