  1. 😂 I don't know, but Steve Burton's neck is the size of a small buffalo and does freak me out.
  2. Oh, I know. Sometimes I get bored lol. I understand it gets confusing since some characters exist throughout ABC soaps and some either don't or the actors are playing new characters. It's best to just work on GH and it's history and this current show. I think bringing in characters from other soaps at this point would alienate many GH viewers and would only bring in a few lapsed OLTL or AMC viewers. I know the shows are still missed and discussed, but it's been over a decade. Most people have moved on.
  3. Nope. It's not GH's duty. Is it Days duty to bring on former AW actors because it's the last soap standing? No. Keep GH as GH. I, as a GH fan, would not clamor for Brenda Barrett to show up in Llandview just because I miss her. It would make no sense.
  4. General Hospital does not need to become a super soap lol. I am familiar with AMC and OLTL, but GH has always been my favorite. I don't need Maria on GH. There are plenty of characters from GH's history they should bring back. I don't need the Santos family transplanted to Port Charles. I'd rather the show figure out how to cast Lucky or Lulu instead or figure out a way to use Lois properly.
  5. And Steve Burton isn't even back on air yet. There won't be room for half the cast after Jason starts appearing.
  6. Definitely. I would just like to see more cast departure announcements than cast additions at this point lol.
  7. Love the episode! Loved the flashbacks. I didn't even hate Theresa and Alex sharing scenes with John/Marlena that much. Lol at Marlena saying everyone knew John/Marlena were more than friends after that dance. Way to make the fact you were married to another man and having an affair sound romantic!! So, I know this has nothing to do with the episode or anything, but why do Steve/Kayla have all those yoga magnets on their fridge? I thought it was Stephanie being obnoxious, but I noticed them there when she was living with Chad. Who does yoga in that family? Lol.
  8. Yeah, I should just wait and see. I just have a knee jerk reaction to these cast announcements and I see who they are playing and just ask why? It reminds me of Tamara getting cast as freakin Oscar's mom and the entirely wasted character of Kim Nero. I know, I know, new regime and all, but I am still traumatized by that lol. Violet would be my first sacrifice.
  9. I don't have high hopes. I get so frustrated with GH casting because they add and add and add people that don't feel necessary. I like Blaze/Kristina, but I don't think the romance is an A level story and I don't think ELR needs to be the homophobic mother. How far can a character like that possibly go? She learns the error of her ways and ends up romancing Sonny lol? I guess I'll wait and see and if the cast starts getting trimmed I will shut up.
  10. What? I am not sure what your point is and I honestly don't even know what career making actress vista means. I think it's a waste of money and a waste of Eva to play a C character's homophobic mom. There are plenty of obstacles for Blaze/Kristina as is. I really don't understand this shows casting decisions. This isn't a knock on ELR, but if GH wants to shell money out for a bigger name they should figure out a better character for her.
  11. I know I said upthread I like Blaze just fine, but we don't need ELR as her mother! I seriously don't know how this show affords all these actors. And it just going to be another useless character taking up airtime. I like ELR and all, but is she the go to mother character for any Hispanic actress on soaps now?
  12. I assume it's the 100,000 dance? Roman was working late and supposed to make it at some point, but never did. He heard about the dance the next day and was angry, but wasn't really suspicious anything was going on between John/Marlena.
  13. Leo actually has a purpose so I don't mind him and he does good work. I just like Donna because she is an absolutely beautiful little girl. There's no rhyme or reason for it. Just like I like Ace because he's such a big, cute little baby. I am not invested in any of these kids tbh.
  14. Works for me. I never found that child cute, but I don't find any GH children cute except Donna and James. And mostly because I think Donna is the most adorable child in the world, not because I actually like her.
  15. I personally like James, but I would basically rather watch anyone but Violet lisp along being completely insufferable. Hayden doesn't want custody yet?
  16. She was very manipulative going to her father to get Sonny to marry her. And then got upset when Sonny still loved Brenda and was attached to her even when she full well knew he was in love with her before she married him lol. I guess you could argue she was manipulative with Miguel about his son as well, but the character wasn't exactly portrayed to be in the wrong? And, yes, the legend of Lily's sainthood was well overplayed by everyone once she died. She didn't even really have any friends. Only Luke, Mike, Jason, and Robin on occasion tolerated her-and Mike and Robin would have preferred Brenda and Jason had no memory. In the end it's quite tragic because in 1996 Sonny **might** have been worth it, but if she saw him now she would have realized he was not at all.
  17. Probably. I think the answer at the time was Wally was on a scheduled vacation. Lol. They divorced in 1997
  18. I thought Ned lying about Jason's accident was the dealbreaker? But it's been a long time, so I could be wrong. After she "officially" left both visits were awkward including the visit she had with Brenda after Sonny left in which Lois shared 0 scenes with Ned.
  19. I never thought Lois appeared stupid. I often thought some of her actions were harsh against Ned because they had been through so much. I wasn't ever really sure the Q lifestyle was a dealbreaker for her. Yeah, that's how I always figure it went down. I don't think it was great and it felt like Lois gave up a bit quickly on Ned and the marriage, but it wasn't crazy out of character. ETA-someone here needs to warn me when it's a Violet episode!!! I am never prepared.
  20. I honestly think the show could have done more with Lily as a character. The show got the arcs and the story right, but she was such a Stepford Wife with no chinks in her armor. I am pretty sure the show was mostly always planning this exit as Lily's endgame, but Jax's popularity and ease into the triangle/quad probably just confirmed the decision.
  21. Agreed. It is interesting to think about what would have changed if Lily lived. There were often parallels on the show that made it clear to see Lily/Sonny and Brenda/Jax were actually more well suited for each other and had much more in common. Both were much more stable relationships, but the heart wants what it wants I guess. I think the overall tepid response of Lily as a character and Brenda's damn near fatal attraction actions during this time meant something had to go lol. It made Lily a much more iconic character in the end but sometimes I wish the show explored Lily as a person a bit more. She was just too nice and boring and such a contrast to Brenda's ridiculousness.
  22. There really were a lot of characters packed in and a lot of things going on. A true sweeps cliffhanger! From my edits, I would have assumed Sonny/Brenda/Robin/Stone/Luke/Laura took most of the episode, so a Q meeting was a delightful surprise.
  23. Oooh a Sly mention in this episode. He's still in PC as of May 12, 1995! A lot of nice stuff not necessarily related to the shootout in this episode. Watching Sonny/Brenda's push and pull on this topic still makes me cringe to this day knowing what's to come. A pregnant Lily probably would have beat out Brenda for awhile. In real life probably forever, but Sonny was always going to stray. A Brenda/Sonny/Jax/Lily triangle could have played out for years, but with Lily being the true weak link here it was always the most effective thing to kill her off. It made the mob stakes real and high for the first time. Everything else preceding it was mostly low stakes, some injuries, some lies, some breakups, but this was life and death. I think I like Amazing Grace because of the way it was shot and the music and the big reveal. The Lullaby Massacre did change so much in a lot of ways though, so there is an argument for it be #2.
  24. No problem. Both are a super easy find on youtube! Writers- Guza/Karen Harris for Clink Boom Guza/Pratt for Amazing Grace EP's- Riche for Clink Boom JFP did Amazing Grace
  25. What an awful picture of pretty much everyone here lol. Why is Selena Wu in this? So we pretend the show has Asian characters? The statement is pretty much a whole lotta nothing, but I also don't think GH was anywhere near his focus at this event.
