  1. Listen, I think it's lovely GH tried and ABC did a primetime special. It was really weak as far as flashbacks and too much of current things. I can't believe there wasn't even a single Jason flashback to announce Steve's return. I would say we cut John Stamos out entirely and give a little montage to the 95% of good stories and characters that weren't included.
  2. I would assume it was a few things. It was a really risky idea. It would have been difficult to pull Marlena off the main show, but not impossible. It didn't seem like Wayne was ever exactly on board. TM as Carrie wasn't very popular. Anna and Tony might have been involved, but it looks like it would have been Marlena, her newly recast stepdaughter, new friends, and new love interests and it sounded like it was actually going to film in New York which wouldn't be ideal for pop ins from Days. And once it started stalling and stalling Marlena's story was heating up on Days, CC came back as Carrie, Sami was introduced, and JER had a very vested interest in Marlena. In 1991 or early 1992 it could have happened. By late 1992 there really wasn't any way to make it work. I also suspect it really just wasn't that good lol. All the concepts and new characters we heard about seemed way too broad and what if it flops? Do you risk losing Deidre all together? I think it would have been much easier to pull Jack and Jennifer out of the cast and go a bit younger overall. Have Jen take her talk show nation wide and then the idea of a Midwesterner in a big city would be more viable as well.
  3. Wow, I didn't even think Harris had that many lines lol. I hope at the very least they try Jason with someone other than Carly, Sam, or Liz.
  4. Thank you! That is so helpful. I didn't think it got very far since Missy quit, but it is interesting they all were put on contract. I wonder how well that premise would have turned out if Missy had stayed.
  5. Spinelli doesn't bother me that much. Listen, you saw my list of characters to go and Spinelli was not on it. He's okay in very small doses. He peaked in annoyance about a decade ago, but I still think I would take him if I got a lot less Violet, Finn, Michael, and Willow. I reserve the right to change my mind if it becomes too much again.
  6. I actually think Steve Burton's acting was pretty good in the 90's. He gave up years ago, but I will unpopularly stand behind most of his choices until he met Carly.
  7. Have Burton's returns ever brought up the ratings? In any significant way?
  8. Yup. Steve would never play that. I just can't imagine the original plan was for Jason to never, ever get his memories back and he would live out his entire GH career playing a benevolent hit man.
  9. If the show really wanted to right this ship (they don't) I would have Jason pop back up with all of his Q memories and shun Carly, Michael, and Sonny forever and be remorseful of all his past actions.
  10. Spinelli practically doesn't exist these days, so probably not. I keep hoping him and Maxie reunite and they take the kids on a year long cruise around the world or something.
  11. That's honestly the most expressive Kelly Monaco has ever been as Sam. Oh well, CM is probably crying in his beer healthy protein shake and Rena definitely won't have any hope of getting a contract. Boo! We knew it was coming, but I was hopeful it would take more than 24 hours from his Days departure announcement. Ugh. He'll be airing on the two soaps I watch. At the same time. I don't know what I did to deserve this.
  12. Doubt it. He went to Days where he didn't have to. In my experience people who felt that strongly about not taking the vax to the point they leave their cushy job aren't likely to change 2 years later.
  13. If the show is going to pay good money for this I am going to need that full cast clean up and they better follow our lists on who needs to go first!
  14. We probably don't have to worry about Drew much longer.
  15. Ha! Just read it. Why couldn't it just be the secret return of Vanessa Marcil?????🥲
  16. Haha! He just came to my mind. I still am not sold on a need for Drew at all. It's just way too much. Not only does he buy all the holiday decorations for the hospital, but didn't he fund two separate wings of that hospital (Stone's and one for Mike)? Give me a break! And you know I actually like Sonny. I forgot it was on. What's the rundown?
  17. Sonny slamming the door on Nina made me crack up too
  18. Yikes...that was a bad show. Not only Drew being a rage monkey to Nina, but also Nik casually suggesting how to destroy Esme. She's like, what, 20? Ava and Nik really need something better to do. Also, on not such a serious note, why the hell is nearly 30 year old Dex just allowed to hang out in Joss/Trina's room? I know it's holiday break, but he's there all the time.
  19. This is a case of two items that shouldn't be worn together. They honestly look okay in the model photos, but the coat looks matted and cheap on tv. The dress looks cheap too. I think you can do one or the other. And the coat is always going to look like muppets had to die to make it possible but black might have looked better?
  20. Honestly, no matter how many candles he lights he is so far past making it to Heaven. I think someone recently said Sonny was a good man who made some bad decisions (Olivia?). No, Sonny is a bad man who once every ten years stumbles upon a good decision.🤣
  21. Yeah, not sold on Jeff Branson either. He would probably do okay though. Agreed. I thought Sonny paying for all the decorations at the hospital for Christmas was unintentionally hilarious as well. I just forgot to post about it. The show doesn't need to lay it on that thick. We get it. Mobster. Heart of Gold.
  22. TSJ probably only crossed my mind because I was thinking of former OLTLers that Frank hasn't used yet and he'd be mildly appropriate for the role. Someone like Josh Duhamel would be good, IMO. But I doubt he is that far down on his luck yet.
  23. Thanks! I couldn't remember everyone that called Steve that, but it felt more demeaning than a happy nickname for him even back then. I have no problem with Steve being called Patch if he loves that nickname. I just never got the impression he did.
