Just saw the BH promo and I'm screaming. I know I'll be let down once it starts... since they are masters of trailers and making you think how amazing it will be... and then flat-line... but still. Can't wait to be let down again, LOL.- The Politics Thread
Yeah, this whole situation has been so eye opening. I've hit that unfollow button more times I can count. It's nice seeing them demask themselves, because some of them were really hidden.- All My Children Tribute Thread

I mean... if you count how much it will cost to watch a year of the show... I doubt many people will be willing to give hundreds of euros for it. (Especially when you don't keep the episodes) It's too niche, as @Aback said. Some will definitely pay, but the more adequate scenario would have been to put 40-60 episodes every month and just make people pay like any other subscription. Maybe a cheap subscription without AMC and a more expensive one for the AMC catalogue in it. I would be willing to pay for something like that. But having to constantly fuel money into some platform and pay for each episode... when I don't even have the time to watch it for much long... makes it hard. Not everyone will be able to watch at the same time they are uploading. Some will want to binge and others take their time with it. Why are they going against the basic rules of modern viewing-streaming habits is beyond me. Still I'm excited... and I'll try the platform in the coming days. I want to check-out the quality.- One Life to Live Tribute Thread

Up to September 10th, 1992. ⭐ "You can change your name, but you can't change who you are." 🔷 Friends and soap lovers, just as I was about to give Leanne a proper chance... just... as I was beginning to actually root for her... she did it again. The new identities... (two bad wigs that got better as the episode progressed) were not enough to change who they really are. You can't escape from your old ways. Leanne did what she does best - she started getting involved with YET another man - this time... a nasty bar owner who wants to have sex with her. And it seems that Leanne may be willing to do anything for money. Jason is now... basically her baby's sitter and that's it. This repeats one of life's most important lessons - when you get involved with trash, you become trash. Jason - you deserve so much better. I'm so irritated, but at the same time... I love they are showing us that Leanne's true colors haven't changed. Desperation is making her do mistake after mistake. But this time... there are two other souls going down with her. 🔷 Tina and Cain are no longer cartoon characters, but resemble human beings with motivation and goals. The current agenda is getting Cain back into Asa's good graces. To be able to do that, Tina had to blackmail Blair with her birth-control pills. I loved seeing this side of Tina - a troublemaker, a manipulator. I WAS DONE with the stupid circus sidekick. I want to mix this commentary with a small note about Alex Olanov - she is also given a real storyline this time and the cartoon elements seem to be toned down too. She needs to get the power back and destroy her adversary in the mafia - the cringe guy with the snake. And her idea - turn Mortimer into Carlo... in order to scare him off. This is not some deep... Chekhov stuff, but it's better than the jewels fiasco. 🔷 Andrew Carpenter got a second chance at staying in Llanview after part of the community stood by him and basically bullied the pig-bishop into surrender. Just as he was thanking God and over the moon about it... another problem arose. Andrew is NEVER without problem - Cassie... can't and won't agree to marry him. And he is put in an impossible situation. He can't continue a relationship like this, because it's against the rules of the church, but she won't marry him either. It's Thorn Birds level of conflict and I'm here for it. 🔷 Overall - we are continuing in a nice pace, the themes are shifting into more typical classic soap... even though they are clearly continuing Billy and Andrew's parallel journeys. Which is great and happens very rarely when soaps are done with a social theme storyline. P.S I miss Victoria! I can't wait for her to come back. They deliberately left us... in the most interesting moment. I love and hate when they do that. Overall - 10/10 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Clip of the day Finally... some justice for Andrew Carpenter! ffffffffff.mp4- One Life to Live Tribute Thread
You're welcome @DRW50. I think once again I have a slight advantage in this being my first ride with these characters. Especially if Max was already in similar relationship with another woman. And about Cord and Blair - they were definitely writing the affair happening, before he was "killed" off. They kissed and had plenty of romantic interest in each other. I was sure it was happening and then... all of a sudden... he is dead. And I agree, this would have been more compelling. Max and Blair came as a surprise to me, and at the beginning I didn't like where they were going at all. It felt like Blair was falling in love too random... too easy... too soon after losing Cord. But with time I adjusted to it.- All My Children Tribute Thread

Up to September 7th, 1992. ⭐ "The moments of empathy that stay with us... forever" 🔷 I have to admit it, the show has succeeded in making me care about Leanne and Jason. They've almost merged into one single being - very raw, scared... but still fighting to survive. Their love and dedication to each other, especially Jason to Leanne is... are beautiful and so rare. If there is a super-couple in the show right now... - it's them! At times when they are hugging or kissing they remind me of Jack and Rose from Titanic. I will never be able to imagine Jason or Leanne without the other person now... They've gone through so much together. From Leanne teaching Jason to read... to their current struggle - these are the things that make people BOND forever. Hats off, Malone! 🔷 I want to dedicate part of this commentary to the character of nurse Maria. She to me embodies the best of humanity. These little moments of empathy you stumble upon along the way of your life... that you never forget. The moments that make you believe that humans are capable of so much goodness. She didn't have anything to gain from helping Leanne and Jason. Quite the contrary - she had everything to lose... Maria is just a mother, a struggling mother who saw herself in the other woman's eyes and pain. I started crying and at the same time yelling at the screen saying "Malone, stop doing this to me! Stop making me cry every single episode!" Such a touching moment. We've all met a Maria in our lives... the purest form of empathy. 🔷 I love where they are going with Kevin and Rachel. She to him is like Victoria was to Sloan. A protective, almost mother-like figure... I see her as the complete opposite of Leanne - she is actually a woman that cares for him and wants him to be his best self. She is not selfish, she is selfless. And played so amazingly by the actress, whose name I don't know and am scared to google... because I don't want to spoil when she is going to be out of the show. I am slowly falling in love with Rachel Gannon and I also can't wait to meet her mother Nora. We've been hearing Hank talk to her on the phone these past few episodes. I think they are preparing us for her arrival. 🔷 The comedy is gone and the show is stone-cold dramatic and sharp. THANK GOD. The aftershocks of the homophobia storyline and the QUILT are rocking the town. They are definitely not going to erase this storyline or just move on from it. They are proud of it. So... the Billy Douglas storyline is very much continuing. Now after coming out of the closet... he has to face the public and all the attention that comes with being his true self. The other person who is having troubles is Andrew. Just as he was about to ask Cassie to marry him... that devilish man from the church came to threaten him and ask him to leave and go to Kansas. But this time... Andrew has his father and Cassie on his side. And one surprising person too - Dorian Lord... who... the first moment she heard about what is happening, threatened to start a brutal smear campaign against that homophobic bishop. Do it, darling! DO IT! 🔷 In the end I want to talk about Sloan and Victoria. I found myself tearing up again... as usual... during Sloan's confession to Andrew about his feelings. It struck me as... so hauntingly beautiful the fact that Sloan has actually fallen in love... while having a terminal illness. He fell in love just before getting ready to die. And now... he is going to fight with everything he's got... to stay and LIVE. Because you only have ONE LIFE TO LIVE. ❤️ I'm sorry but you can't write anything more powerful than this. Overall - 10/10 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Clip of the day Nurse Maria helps Leanne and Jason. fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff.mp4 - Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
