  1. Thank you! Now I want to go back and watch the Sin Stalker storyline. Probably when I run out of the Soapnet episodes I will go back to 1886 - 1987.
  2. Woah that's hell of a lot of serial killer stories! And were they any good though? And it's interesting to learn more about Donna Swajeski, who I'm finding to be... one hell of a great head writer. Thank you for that bit of info. ☺️
  3. This is from today - 11/13/2024
  4. I haven't ! OMG... I will see it right now! I somehow missed it! Thank you!!!!! P.S Somehow all I'm seeing is empty space. I guess I'm not in the geolocation I have to be... Do you guys see it in USA?
  5. Thank you! It's beneficial for me to know this... so I can see the bigger picture. What I didn't like about the scene of the confrontation after the porn VHS reveal... was the dialogue itself. It was naive and not as strong as it could have been. I expected something of more dept, since I'm subconsciously basing my expectation on the amazing late 1988-early 1989 episodes that I've seen. But it's just 2 episodes for now... that's all. Tonight I may continue, since I'm addicted to the text-boxes from SoapNet. I really am. I even write some things down to not forget. So yes... still not decided on DePriest - what is your opinion of her as head writer? It will take me at least 1-2 months worth of episodes to finally know if it's working for me or not. Donna Swajeski is definitely MY cup of tea... I'll see if this is the case too.
  6. I know your purpose was not to argue. But you asked and I gave you my honest truth, that's all. And there is no second opinion about background music - of course it is important and that's exactly why the video you posted is a great example of badly done background music (in my POV). This music is not staying background, but overtaking dialogue. Restless and OLTL, even Bold are great examples for background music done amazingly in they heyday. I agree. If BTG is a modern-take on that... I'm all for it. My family is full of musicians and my grandpa was a well-known composer... so I am one to know the importance of music. This is something we agree on.
  7. I'm sorry... but this does not look or sound movie-like. It looks and sounds high-budget cheesy porn-like. Or maybe we have different understandings about what is "movie-like". You asked... that's my opinion. I can't lie.
  8. I'm counting the days till Beverly Hills. I hope it doesn't disappoint. And the trailer is not just bait like always.
  9. OMG, that background music is even louder than in General Hospital. I got heart palpitations just listening to part of this episode on headphones. 🤣 From that bass! While I do realize this may be someone's cup of... something, it's not mine. I will develop hearing damage if I have to listen to this every day. Even parts of the dialogue are mushed with the music to this incredibly cheap vibe... And the action-series transitions at the end of some scenes, the sound effects... Boy, oh, boy. I hope to God BTG is nothing like this. I'm sorry - definite Pass for me. It's just horribly dated.
  10. It's very helpful to me... since I am still a new viewer and these 1987 episodes on SoapNet are actually filling some gaps of information for me. I doubt it will continue for more than a few episodes, I think they are just helping the viewers since the show has started so late in the game on the channel.
  11. Episode 5857 - M.J.' s past exposed! My second episode from the 1987 era. Since it's raining outside... I said why not continue the July 1987 episodes? Well... Since I want to be 100 percent honest... I will be. This episode was not written at the level of the other material I've watched so far (October - Dec 1988 and Jan 1989). Maybe it's just 1 episode thing... We'll see. It's not a definitive commentary on the head writer (DePriest), of course, since I will persevere and continue watching these episodes. Who knows... I may love it even more than the 1989 episodes...?! The M.J prostitution reveal underwhelmed me. Some of the dialogue was very naive. I would not say it was a bad bad episode... But definitely mediocre. I'm looking forward to watching the next ones. But yes... Compared to late 1988-1989... For now... It's not at that same level. Maybe I got used to Donna Swajeski dialogue a little too much. P.S LOL at SoapNet roasting M.J.
  12. Second free day. And guess what... it's been raining and just... bad bad weather overall. I guess it will be a day for watching soaps then! 🤣
  13. It's official... I can't stand Wilectra! Can't get more boring and basic.
  14. @Anooj Which do you consider to be the show's worst 5 storylines... ever? From what you've seen.
