  1. Haha, Amy. Thanks for the compliment but it's been ages since I did html. I remember taking a CompSci course in school, in the early days of Netscape et al, and writing code back then was positively archaic by today's standards. I didn't have the patience back then and though the technology has streamlined since then, I doubt I'd have the patience to do it now. Seriously though, TV One could hire a group of CompSci majors or graduates to fix that website. Better yet, just eat the cost and hire a company to do it. I wouldn't mind watching ads like I do on Hulu, etc. but in this day and age a TV channel should have a working video player on their site, ya know? I don't advocate for people posting their DVRed episodes on You Tube but when they used to do this, it was so much easier to watch (LOL). Let me know what episodes you like so far...sigh, something to look forward to while I'm a week behind.
  2. The new opening is so forgettable and generic, that I really haven't been paying attention to specifics but as I read your question, the vague image of that blue background came to mind. To be honest, I've been so busy trying not to lose patience with TV One's Struggle Video Player, I could only try to use what attention I had left to take in the documentary. I feel like TV One's site should just use You Tube's player or some other commonly used video player because their native video player just cannot get the job done.
  3. I saw Ike Turner on some random radio website over the weekend. I haven't checked whether TV One ever posted it. I'm not pressed about DJ Quick but in the past TV One used to upload a new episode a week after it has aired on TV, so I don't think the DJ Quick episode will be uploaded until next Wednesday. TV One should have done an episode on Sylvia Robinson before DJ Quick who is from the 90s, I don't understand their selection process, there are so many musicians and entertainers who are dead and gone and never got their due and TV One still skips over them. I guess I should just keep quiet and enjoy my Otis Redding episode.
  4. I just decided to check TV One's website for the heck of it and it appears that they may be uploading Unsung episodes again on their site! Well, they have the Otis Redding episode up there, anyway. Later on, I will be watching that episode. Now if they could just upload last season's Unsung Hollywood episodes. I missed all of the entire last season.
  5. Sharapova supposedly tweeted out some promotion of one her Avon product endorsements during the trophy ceremony before quickly deleting it, so I've heard. Interesting. Anyhoo, Congratulations on #20 Serena! And Lucie came through to make it an interesting match. Someone joked that perhaps she was seeing Berdych's face on some of those tennis balls (LOL). She's still in the doubles with BMS so she can still score a title yet. I was watching the stream of Eurosport's coverage and Mats Wilander (who's not always right) had a very good point about how well Serena fires herself up, no matter the circumstances. He compared and contrasted this to Jo Wilfried Tsonga and suggested that he watch Serena and take some notes for his own game. To be fair, Jo has a different personality but I do remember his criticism of the French crowd a few years ago for not properly supporting him, as he saw it. Both Williams Sisters can talk to him about playing in front of home crowds who either greet you with a lukewarm response or flat out cheer for your foreign opponent and they still never let that stop them from winning matches. Although, there were other issues with Tsonga's performance in the Semi-final than just body language. He was abysmal in BP conversions.
  6. Oh. I never got into the show, sounds like I'm not missing much. Maybe we'll see her pop up in an original series on Netflix or Hulu sometime in the future? There's always hope
  7. I'll keep that in mind. I have in the past but I haven't posted on YT in quite some months.
  8. NBA And here I was looking to watch something to fill the void of not watching awful Y&R these days. Thanks!
  9. I thought Sherry Stringfield was superb in the role of Blake and I was sorry to see her leave but considering she landed on ER, the decision was a sound one. I wonder why we don't see her in anything these days?
  10. I suspect they took it down since it was a gossipy style article sort of mocking Stan for his recent relationship woes. Sort of hinting that his first round opponent Marcel Ihan could somehow bring up memories of his failed marriage to estranged wife Iham. Also mentions 19 year old Donna Vekic as 'sharing more than an agent' with Stan. Stan said in his post match interview today that he hoped heads will roll and that the editor of the website will be fired. Stan pretty much was all business on court and had a straight sets win over Ihan. Federe's situation was CRAZY! He had another oncourt incident about 5 years ago with an intruder on court. I guess the Roland Garros management are too busy with Wawrinka's personal life to care about serious security. And the French crowd need to chill with the booing, they booed Nishikori for a point that went his way (who boos Kei?!). I'm convinced that their bad karma with many of their homegrown players over the years is caused by their boorish behavior. Case in point, Caroline Garcia left the court in near tears after a loss today.
  11. I admit, I haven't read this yet but OMG at the headline!http://www.rolandgarros.com/en_FR/news/articles/2015-05-23/stan_the_man_versus_ilhan_and_ilham.html
  12. Whoops, I stand corrected. Thanks Darn. Maybe Billy needs to master the art of the blank stare in that photo. And maybe darken the hair just a touch to give Billy a slightly more, um, dare I say, masculine look?
  13. Even though I haven't watched much of The View in I don't know how long, I did get a chance to watch an episode this week and I sort of see Raven as a cross between Sherri Shephard and Elizabeth Hasselback, in a way that she can often read as being clueless but she does make for an interesting panelist and I don't see her as intentionally offensive in the way I'd see, say, a Stacey Dash. And it could be interesting to see whether Symoné becomes at all more nuanced (i.e. sophisticated) in her views. I think the show could really benefit from having Joy Behar (re) join the panel, even if it's only for 1-2 days per week, the way Barbara did in the last few years before her retirement. Behar could inject some much needed life into episodes and she's good at conducting interviews, which except for Whoopie (who's not even the best at it), the rest of the current panel seems to lack that skill. Joy can press buttons and be just on the edge of provocative without being totally obnoxious, she's pretty well read and up to snuff on current events and she can diffuse just about any situation with humor, which The View can always use since it often seems to have quite a bit of tension on the set.
  14. LOL, Khan. The hair is too long. I don't remember seeing any pictures of Kaelin with hair that long. I think they should've stopped at the below the chin or the Adam's apple. Is it too late to fix this? For what it's worth, Cuba Gooding Jr. looks more like Al Cowling than O.J.
  15. Came across this picture of BM as Kato Kaelin among the cast photos: No picture was posted yet of Jordana in character.
  16. And to the people who still insist that we are somehow living in a post racial society: http://www.nytimes.com/2015/05/22/us/politics/obamas-twitter-debut-potus-attracts-hate-filled-posts.html but I guess someone will claim that this is "playing the race card" whatever the heck that's supposed to mean.
  17. more video of Djokovic popping himself in the face with a champagne bottle: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HM1C_JYeyy8 And did you see the gif that someone did of Federer's reaction? That was funny.
  18. I was curious so I checked some of the responses on Twitter and couldn't help but chuckle by some of the tweets. One person tweeted that if Graham was the cure, they'd rather have the disease!
  19. I just kneeeww Magnussen was going to play Kato Kaelin! Errbody's in this series now I'm more than curious though, so I guess I will tune in.
  20. Well, Novak certainly seemed as though nothing could stop him in this tournament--maybe except for a champagne bottle cork. //v.cdn.vine.co/r/videos/B75C442F351211762604821946368_3499f357095.3.1.6905867299085131832.mp4?versionId=0kAxy_H38W_38TFwK0uiA2gkK0qCI0fA
  21. ...and Jeb was supposed to be the smart one . I just read that Rick Perry is rumored to announce his intention to run for President next month. Boy, the clown car sure is filling up quickly.
  22. It's just been announced that Pennetta and Fognini are to be married next year. I hope Flavia knows what she's in for. Supposedly, it's been alleged that Fognini is more laid back off court but can't he control his behavior better than that on court? We know he went on to play Rome so he has not been suspended any matches or tournaments. Was he even fined for this? Why am I just hearing about this today?!
  23. YAASS! My childhood days, right there! ATWT really was hot back then. I know I sound like a broken record but I wish all of 1985-86 episodes were on You Tube. There are quite a lot of 86 up there and I'm grateful but there are episodes I'm burning to see/haven't seen since I was a kid, that I'd love to see again! Once upon a time I had hope that Soap Classics would have released some of those episodes on DVD and/or online but they betrayed me and folded like a napkin. At least before they closed up shop they could have had the class to release a DVD set of all the parties, costume balls and charity galas (the AIDS benefit, the costume balls and Holloween parties). That would've been so much fun!
  24. Did anyone see that match?! Rafa looked so off, his movement was just so bad. I know people often scoff when Rafa underplays his chances but I think he does truly doubt himself sometimes, especially now. I think someone (his Uncle Toni Nadal?) said that Rafa was experiencing an existential lack of confidence (or something like that). I thought it was a bluff, to take some of the pressure off but I'm thinking there is some truth to that statement. Andy Murray, who came out aggressive, quickly picked up on Rafa's lack of confidence and his lack of adequate movement/footwork and 'went to town', picking Rafa apart. Now that Murray has won 2 clay court titles in two weeks, after never having won a title on clay, I wonder whether people will credit MoMo for these wins as much as people liked to blame her for his early losses for like, the past several months? Rome is going to be interesting given the variables on the Men's side and the fact that the Women's Draw looks like one giant clusterf uck.
  25. Jinx, we thought the same thing! I was looking at this promo yesterday after listening to Heart's Barracuda on YT (don't judge me ) and was thinking that song with this video would have made for a terrific promo. Then again, with music rights being what they are, the video probably would've been scrubbed somehow had they used popular music, so it probably was better to have use an original piece of music.
