Speaking of Trump and those who support him, this is insane. Sunnyside building decorated with Nazi propaganda, Jim Crow images terrifies neighbors The follow-up on this story is that this man has been arrested and police swept out the guns out of his apartment but tenants are still fearful that he will make bail and return.

Let's see if Russia releases some Trump themed kompromat. They don't seem very enamored of him of late.

Novella Nelson who played Detective Roy Franklin's mother has died. She was also a Broadway veteran who consistently worked in films over the decades. She originally majored in biochemistry but during a speech class, she was asked to perform in a play and decided to switch her major to theater. A great choice that yielded enjoyment for audiences down the road. Broadway Vet and Acclaimed Actress Novella Nelson Dies at 77

About whether or not it matters whether it was Hillary in the WH, I actually do believe it matters who is in the Oval office. You don't think Kim Jong-un doesn't register Trump's threats to "unleash fire and fury" as a challenge to more nuclear tests? Does anyone think that Obama would've used language like that? For all the criticism of Hillary, I don't believe she would use such intentionally provocative language at a critical juncture. Kim certainly tried Obama in '09 early in his presidency but really didn't get much of a reaction because Obama actually exercised executive discretion. Trump has not. There is a reason that NK is performing more "tests" during Trump's first term than the presidents who preceded him, just as there is a reason why Al Qaeda decided to strike the U.S. during W.'s term and not Clinton. These warmongers know who to provoke-- other warmongers and unstable heads of state who may respond in kind. And as a result of all these "tests", NK is causing earthquakes on the Korean peninsula--possibly a looming man-made disaster in the making as if the threat of nuclear implosion isn't enough to worry about. God, the day I agree with Ted Cruz on anything, even one sole statement. Perhaps the end of the world is nigh... Cruz: ‘I Wouldn’t Speak’ About North Korea Threats The Way Trump Does

An ICYMI, Kenya's Supreme Court nullified their recent election results and have ruled that a new election must take place within 60 days. By the way, fake news also loomed large during their campaign season. Kenya Supreme Court Nullifies Presidential Election Also FYI. Remember how the Trump administration has moved to weaken the EPA considerably.

She's made multiple excuses, saying that things must be done in a methodical way and you can't force change too fast. When people are being burned out of their homes, really?? Another essential issue that might not get notice is that the skirmishes are also land grabs. The Rohingya are not only Muslim but many tend to be merchants who had thriving businesses as well as the land that the businesses occupy. To push them out, also means their property suddenly becomes available. Nevermind the fact that these people have lived on the land for at least a century, down generations yet are not considered citizens. It's shameful. When I first read about this 2-3 years ago, I thought it was barbaric and could only happen in a country where a military dictatorship had been in charge for a long time. Sadly, after this election and the aftermath of what has happened in the U.S., I am forced to think that it is no longer inconceivable for something similar to happen here.

And it's been going on for years now while Nobel Peace Prize winnter Daw Aung San Suu Kyi has kept silent about it. The Rohingya have basically been stateless for the past few years now. I'd always thought of Buddhism as a peaceful religion so I was shocked by the images of monks violently forcing groups of vulnerable people out of their homes.

You're right, that is a concern and a big one. The one saving grace so far is that many of those Antifa twits seem to be too cowardly to venture into spaces where there are very large numbers of black and brown people. Like, you're not going to see any in Harlem, NY or Newark, New Jersey. What would a crisis in America be without greedy corporations trying to capitalize from the misery of others? This time- price gouging.- The Politics Thread
So, I have to admit that I've paid little to no attention to these Antifa folks. I guess my reason being that they have mostly come off as a small, but vocal cluster of unhinged nutjobs. Am I wrong to be paying so little attention? I guess when I see them occupying the halls of government, shaping our laws or public policy like the Klan or the white supremacists, I'd likely pay more attention.- The Tennis Thread
