To me that was less about Moira and Matty and more about giving them a chance to portray Cain as the voice of reason and tolerance in an attempt to whitewash him after his involvement in the whole sordid affair with the acid attack on Ross. Just like Sarah's illness, in my opinion, is not about her but a not very subtle way of trying to make the audience more sympathetic towards Debbie. (It's not working on me though. I still hate that bitch with every fiber of my being)

Haven't you learned that the only ones this show cares about are the ones named Dingle. The rest are just fillers..... And yes, Joseph's return has turned into a big fat flop. Not surprising though, since we can't have anyone oppose the all-powerful and mighty Dingle clan now, can we? They must be on top and on the winning side all the time, and anyone who dares to do or say anything against them must be made to see the error of their ways and join the rest in singing their praises....

I have no problem with Matty, but as usual when a soap tackles a somewhat controversial subject it will fizzle out after the initial surprise. In a few weeks Matty will be just like any other character on the show, and his history will be largely forgotten. Soaps are so afraid of any real long-lasting controversy that stories like this inevitably becomes disappointing. I have to say that I don't like the hints of attraction between him and Victoria, but that's for personal reasons. I want Victoria to start having babies to expand the Sugden family, and unfortunately Matty cannot provide that.

Even though he's a Dingle I'm actually quite pleased with the spoilers for him. It's a great use of history for once. (I can't believe I'm actually excited about a Dingle getting more screentime. The heatwave we're having must have affected me more than I expected.... )

I care. If he had to kill again, why couldn't it have been Liv?! She's a useless waste of space anyway. Or anyone with the last name Dingle....

What the hell is happening with the weather?! We're still in the middle of a vicious heatwave here with temperatures over 30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit) every day, and there's no sign of rain. The forest fires are still raging and they're now impossible to put out without the help of rainfall. Horrible fires are raging in Greece with over 70 casualties so far. There are also fires in Norway, Germany, Finland and Latvia. Britain is also experiencing drought and heat, and Japan has had record temperatures of over 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit) with several deaths.

They have my sympathy. Ok, in all fairness she did some good things at Emmerdale, but she ultimately left the show in a bad state.

So, did Lachlan kill Rebecca or is he holding her prisoner somewhere?

Amen to that!! Change is always difficult, because many people are afraid of it and resist it as long as they can. But I believe that in the end changes will happen, despite the opposition.

Can someone please stop this heatwave! We've hardly had any rain since April, the crops are withering away in the fields, water supply is starting to become an issue, and forest fires are starting all over the country!
