  1. It was great finally getting to see even a little of that storyline. I have to agree with you, this storyline is soap opera gold. As much as I love Stephanie, the scene right before Brooke takes 51% of Forrester, when she looks Stephanie dead in the eyes and tells her 'I've finally beaten you' goes down as one of the most satisfying moments I've seen on any show, period. Stephanie's reaction to Sheila's appointment as Brooke's liaison was the icing on the cake.
  2. She really doesn't look 82!
  3. What about Eduardo Grimaldi (Nicolas Coster) ?
  4. Brooke as a brunette! It's so sad to watch these old episodes and see how stunningly beautiful Hunter Tylo was back then, and compare it to the mess she is today.
  5. Those were great clips. I'd forgotten how good B&B was back then. I must admit though that it's hard to see someone else as Brooke. KKL has become so identified with the role. It was the same when Sandra Ferguson filled in when KKL was on maternity leave in 1997. It just didn't feel like Brooke. Nancy Burnett must have been fairly new as Beth at this time since the old Beth was still part of the opening montage.
  6. It's a bit odd seeing such a meek and mild Barbara in those old clips. It's miles away from the Barbara of later years, but to Colleen Zenk's credit she's just as good with them both. Barbara really was a character that changed dramatically over the years, yet CZ always made it work.
  7. After seeing a scene like this it's easy to understand why Heather Tom has won Emmys in all categories. When given the right material she's phenomenal.
  8. Sheila vs Stephanie was pure gold, and Sheila was one of the best villains ever on daytime up till her first exit in the late 1990s. Her subsequent returns diminished her, but during her first run she was brilliant. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-VLP65ovp00
  9. According to IMDB, Jeff Griggs had a previous career in gay porn, under the name of Tony Sinatra....
  10. I felt slightly confused for a moment watching the episode. Mark Pinter and Gregg Marx looked so much alike I mistook them for each other.
  11. I think she also played Jim's (Charles Kimbrough) wife on "Murphy Brown".
  12. At the very least I don't think Brooke would have dominated the show the way she has. A major part of her appeal is down to KKL. She somehow manages to make Brooke sympathetic despite the often horrendous writing for her.
  13. I remember this well. It was during the story where Rick had shot Grant and Ridge took the blame to protect him. Sandra played the role when Brooke found out the truth which lessened the emotional impact, at least for me. I just couldn't connect with her as Brooke, and it was such a relief when KKL came back!
  14. I hope Sam Stosur has a good tournament. I've had a soft spot for Australians since the days of Pat Rafter. I had high hopes for Alicia Molik, but sadly her career was ruined by illness.
  15. Wasn't it Irna who wrote the story where Bob impregnated both his wife Jennifer and his sister-in-law Kim around the same time? That doesn't sound like a very moral story to me!
  16. Just beautiful.....
  17. Does anyone really think that Madonna is inferior to Lady Gaga??!! They need a reality check if that's the case. Lady Gaga is nowhere near Madonna in any way.
  18. Lesley Gore - You Don't Own Me
  19. Cilla Black - You're My World
  20. Dionne Warwick - Anyone Who Had A Heart
  21. They did the same in a way with Kathy. She always had a special bond with the Sugden family long after Jackie died and she had re-married several times.
  22. If they wanted to utilize some history why not bring in Sam Skilbeck, Matt and Dolly's son. He should be in his late twenties now (being born around Christmas 1982).
  23. I think older military men would bring up bad memories for Luke after his experiences with Colonel Mayer.
