He mentioned in an interview about six months ago that he suffered from bulimia and mental health issues from his teens right through his 20s, and didn't really recover until around the time of his 30th birthday (in 2008). He seems to be in a much happier place now. I'm glad to hear he's doing better now.

I watched up to episode 3 and I hope that isn't Glenn's death scene, not because of what that hack from overrated Lost went on about, but because it was so maudlin, cheesy, and unbecoming of a great character.

Cheese face is a good word for it. It also looks like it's held together by strings. This is the episode I meant (this is the Peter Kay one - Peter Kay doesn't do a lot for me but I didn't mind him here, and it was fun to see the other actors cracking up...and the woman playing his mother was hilarious. You like the older episodes, right? I finally managed to find all the random 1961-1975 episodes that weren't put out on DVD and were just aired on TV at one point or another. Watching the episodes Peter Kay was in, which also happened to be the last months of Adam Rickitt's Nick, and...well - I don't know if Rickitt was ill or one of those people who chooses body over face, or what, but he's just terrifying to look at. He looks like Frankie Grande - all eyes and dummy face. It's also hard to remember that at one time Chesney had a personality.

They really should pay RIk Makarem whatever he asks and get him to stay around as Nikhil. Not only is Nikhil a rare moral man on a show full of amorality and nastiness, Rik has been hotter than hell in this go-round. That heavy breathing he was doing when he tore a strip off Jai was incredible. I like Megan but I"m still not sure why she can't just leave to keep the baby secret, unless Leyla is sitting on a million pound business...

I have a feeling that will happen, as otherwise the Paddy/Tess affair makes even less sense. It would also set up some battle of the fathers, even though Paddy has been a sh!t "father" this year, to say the least. I feel like they're setting all this up to say Gordon raped or physically abused Chas and that's why the show has made her so scared all the time now. I hope they won't go that route. It's such a cliche, and I think viewers have ODed on "poor Aaron" and "poor Chas" material this year as it is. And it's a waste of a character who might actually manage to break Aaron out of the toxic, unwatchable pattern his life is in - a life so meaningless that he is now assigned to be carer to his mother and told to keep quiet about wanting to kill himself. So much for Dingle family love.
