  1. Con Roche returned to the role in 1986. He'd played Rick in the early '70s.
  2. I never really understood why "movies made right here" was a theme on ATWT and AW in 1981. There isn't much of that story around (Natalie is in the 1981 episode on Oakdalian, and there used to be a clip on a dead channel of Lisa in wardrobe), but I can't say it thrills me.
  3. Absolutely. The show is getting better lately but this is the best story - it's how to do an "affair" story right. It's also the type of complex emotional material that suits Bernice far more than just comedy capers. Seeing a glimpse of Andy's ass makes it all the better.

I didn't know she was still alive. As mentioned a few times in the article (albeit not about Crossroads), she wrote a lot of groundbreaking work. She did that on Crossroads too, especially with Sandy. I wish that were remembered more, instead of focus on wobbly sets.
  5. Other than his Vietnam years the show tended to pretend Tom had no life before Margo.
  6. Surely if there was any "moment," it would have been all the silliness with the Governor at the end of season 3 (shooting his army and then [!@#$%^&*] off rather than attacking the prison).
  7. That channel just does promos and ads.
  8. As our esteemed press pulls its pud over Media Darling Marco and his oh so brilliant new ad that shows what a bad-ass he is (such a bad-ass that he all but bragged today about the attacks being good for him politically), Trump is ratchething up his racism and bigotry to truly dangerous levels. It's a good thing none of this is important...not like Marco loving Tupac or which Congress members wub House of Cards. http://www.nytimes.com/politics/first-draft/2015/11/22/donald-trump-again-insists-he-saw-celebrations-in-new-jersey-on-sept-11/ https://newrepublic.com/minutes/124342/donald-trump-embraces-open-racism http://thinkprogress.org/politics/2015/11/22/3724879/donald-trump-black-lives-matter-protester-beating/

  11. David "diaper" Vitter, pathetic, worthless, derp-faced senator of LA for (too) many years, has lost his race for governor. He was seen as a strong bet until he got into an ugly primary fight, complete with last-minute reports that someone had been arrested spying on his rivals. Many, including myself, thought Vitter might win because of bile-laden pandering against refugees (complete with lies that a refugee was running around loose in Louisiana), complete with having his wife shame her own employers (I hope they boot her ASAP...). http://talkingpointsmemo.com/dc/david-vitter-syrian-refugee-fear-mongering The Democrat elected, John Bel Edwards, is very conservative, but at least has pledged to expand Medicaid in the state. He is also one of the few Democrats apparently willing to fight dirty, as we see here: A "greatest hits" for Vitter. http://thinkprogress.org/politics/2015/11/19/3721786/david-vitter-lose-louisiana/ As you can expect, the "liberal" media have not said much about this, as it is not a narrative they like. The Beltway have spent more time tonight chattering about how Stephen Colbert needs to stop being such a meanie to Republicans if he wants better ratings. Oh and it looks like Bobby Jindal, who loathes Vitter, got in the final kick. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2015/11/21/how-bobby-jindal-might-have-sunk-david-vitters-campaign-for-governor/
  12. It was Nikhil. He had lines like, "I'm not asking, I'm telling." Hmm...
  13. Try Dailymotion. They're uploading full episodes. I really love Nikhil's friendship with David. They'd make the perfect couple. And the way he dominated Kirin...
  14. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-3326434/Cody-Simpson-s-mother-Angie-reveals-DID-sign-Real-Housewives-Beverly-Hills-forced-quit-working-visa-declined.html So apparently Cody Simpson's mother is saying she was going to be on BH if not for visa issues.
  15. It says something when Whoopi is the best dressed in a photo.
  16. Is she saying it's true then?
  17. He mentioned in an interview about six months ago that he suffered from bulimia and mental health issues from his teens right through his 20s, and didn't really recover until around the time of his 30th birthday (in 2008). He seems to be in a much happier place now. I'm glad to hear he's doing better now.
  18. Did any of you watch her on Jane the Virgin?
  19. The Fix, the epitome of The Beltway, always starry-eyed over Republicans and the idea that the Republicans represent "real" America (they go to Sam's Club just like you!), had an article out a few days ago saying the craven xenophobia being paraded around by the GOP was smart politics. Some got upset at this, and perhaps they too realized they were openly admitting their daddy figures were blatantly profiting off of bigotry, so now the Beltway spin is that their actions are "moral" and that it's so so unfair to claim otherwise. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2015/11/19/republican-voters-dont-want-to-let-syrian-refugees-in-what-should-gop-politicians-do/ Here's another great example of the "morality" of the GOP - let's just put them all in camps before they rape or behead us. http://www.wcvb.com/politics/rhode-island-lawmaker-segregate-syrian-refugees-in-us/36531842
  20. As certain politicians speak gushingly of Japanese internment camps (Michelle Malkin - wherever the hell that idiot is now - must be proud), here's an article that talks about what they actually meant and the cravenness behind them. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2015/11/18/before-people-start-invoking-japanese-american-internment-they-should-remember-what-it-was-like/?tid=pm_business_pop_b
  21. I watched up to episode 3 and I hope that isn't Glenn's death scene, not because of what that hack from overrated Lost went on about, but because it was so maudlin, cheesy, and unbecoming of a great character.
  22. Cheese face is a good word for it. It also looks like it's held together by strings. This is the episode I meant (this is the Peter Kay one - Peter Kay doesn't do a lot for me but I didn't mind him here, and it was fun to see the other actors cracking up...and the woman playing his mother was hilarious. You like the older episodes, right? I finally managed to find all the random 1961-1975 episodes that weren't put out on DVD and were just aired on TV at one point or another. I put them in playlists for each Corrie year of that time period. If you want any links, let me know. Or if you don't want to go through all that, just go to my channel (Steph Stokes) and look through my playlists.

Don't you see that they are persecuting her? Why won't they leave her alooooone? Not a big Joy fan but she got it right there.
