  1. Given some of the recent political history of Australia I can't help wondering if that is hubris...
  2. The network's struggle for a marketing campaign and Lynch's own involvement in that: http://www.indiewire.com/2017/06/twin-peaks-david-lynch-showtime-marketing-1201841868/ FWWM's co-writer insists that the film wasn't booed at Cannes: http://www.denofgeek.com/us/movies/twin-peaks/265718/was-twin-peaks-fire-walk-with-me-really-booed-at-cannes
  3. Thanks for the details from Lois. Bernie Barrow ad at about 2:30
  4. Is this George Reinholt in the Brylcreem ad?
  5. Kendall March subbing for Francesca James on OLTL.
  6. Thanks for all those. Really enjoyed seeing Michael Horse talk about the show and getting back into it.
  7. I read (I think I posted it weeks ago) an article with a father who spends most of his time fighting these hoaxers - he even helped get one fired from his job as a professor (how scary is that that this man was a professor). He said he never thought this was what he'd be dealing with after he lost his son. He and his wife split up and she and their other children have repeatedly had to move because of harassment. This is what we've become. Or maybe it's what we've always been and we were just naive.
  8. That was a watershed moment - and the man who most pushes the shooting as a hoax is now getting a bumper interview on a major broadcast network. Says it all.
  9. Looks like he was a Sanders supporter: https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/2017/live-updates/public-safety/updates-shooting-at-congressional-baseball-practice-in-virginia/acquaintance-describes-campaigning-for-sanders-with-hodgkinson/?utm_term=.8c1fa2ce4a30
  10. There seems to have been a shooting in Virginia - a Congressman was hit and so were some aides. Anyone around there stay safe... http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-40275055
  11. Wait - isn't this 4 years old? I didn't see the date until now. He was acquitted on this charge.
  12. Geez. I don't even know what to say.
  13. I get chills watching that...Catherine Coulson was such a wonderful actress, and the speech truly does sum up the show as a whole, especially "Laura is the one." This is the chair sounds like something they'd say in the Black Lodge.
  14. Iraqi Christians in Michigan are being deported, likely to death or worse. Remember how we went on and on and on and on and on some more about how we were doing this all for the persecuted Christians in the Middle East? Not that any of the people mongering these wars ever actually meant that. Some of them were arrested on their way to church. Some of them only know English. Notice that you aren't hearing any Republican or any "family" group saying a thing about this. Gosh I wonder why that is? http://www.politico.com/story/2017/06/13/trump-deport-iraqi-christians-239511
  15. Most people are going to shrug and move on once they realize nothing OTT is going to happen in this story. America will continue to slowly grind to a halt, and the best we can hope is that a Democrats with superhuman abilities is elected POTUS in 2020, as he or she will be facing a hard right and Republican-dominated Congress and judiciary, a media that would do anything to help Republicans, and a public that by and large would not notice anything beyond the latest headline about Katy Perry.
  16. I had forgotten about that. I think Periello probably should have stayed out of politics after he lost the last time. The main thing I imagine will be the result of this is a lot of articles about how the left is demoralized and will stay home. I'm expecting the same after the GA results either way as I'm already seeing such talk about how Ossoff is so conservative.
  17. It looks like most of the media is spinning it as Bernie vs Hillary, yet again. From what I've read Northam is expected to win because he spent a lot more money.
  18. Thanks for posting all these tweets. I wish we could get an Annie cameo.
  19. I think that's probably the line he will sell. In reality even with his delusions he knows he will be greeted with nothing but rage and contempt everywhere he goes on his trip.
  20. Great find. I wonder if his return story was just the stuff with his brother...oh and there was Kayla right?
  21. Wow. Thanks for finding that video. I'll let you link it at Previously TV if you want to but I may post it elsewhere. I love that he (or his people) wrote the letters and gave out a dollar. I had forgotten that Jennifer Syme worked for Lynch. I remember her for her relationship with Keanu Reeves and the child they lost. I didn't realize she was involved in Twin Peaks. She must have been very talented. I still haven't finished the Twin Peaks history book but I'm about halfway through now and noticed that they rewrote Norma's backstory. I wonder if there will be a reason.
  22. Bad timing...and I wonder how much of it was snobbery at him being from the South. He also struggled in communicating to the public in the way they could accept, and his team seemed to be a mess. I think his second term, even with the resistance from so many in DC, would have been a lot better.
  23. I'm glad Jimmy is still doing well. Illinois is a mess: http://www.politico.com/story/2017/06/10/illinois-debt-deficit-budget-election-239384
  24. I'm not sure but I think she may have disagreed with what they were doing with the character.
