  1. Don Murray (Sid Fairgate, KL), looking remarkably good for 85 or so years old, has been popping up on Twin Peaks the last three weeks as the boss of Kyle Maclachlan's addled Dougie Jones, compete with huge beefcake boxing photo of Murray from many, many years ago hanging on his character's office wall.
  2. This must be one of the better titles for a video I've seen.
  3. More about the upcoming GA race. They seem to think as I wonder about that the shooting has possibly helped her. I guess it will mostly be about whether the voters who can't or won't turn up do this time. http://www.politico.com/story/2017/06/18/georgia-special-election-ossoff-handel-239650
  4. I'd say it was closer to 1994 and 1995, when the OJ trial caused panic and they began noticeably pulling back, especially on minority characters and stories. Orlagh Cassidy:
  5. Thanks. I checked her IMDB and I didn't realized she'd worked for as many years as she did. She always did have a lot of charisma though, but the soaps never knew what to do with her. Her AW role was especially strange...not helped by the casting of Kit going to such a very dull actress. The better moments were probably when she and Cecile would sit around bitching.
  6. This is Deborah Hobart right?
  7. I know some of you were Jason Kander fans. You've probably already read this, but: http://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2017/06/17/how-jason-kander-won-by-losing-215271
  8. It's been interesting seeing the right wing try to come up with ways to downplay or discredit the anger over Grenfell - some have tried to mostly blame the people who are upset for taking their anger out on Theresa May. Others have claimed the angry residents have been "taken over" by far left anarchists. Others are trying to spread likely false claims that Jeremy Corbyn voted against sprinklers being put in old buildings, to play the "both sides are bad" game. They are looking for reasons to make sure they don't have to actually feel bad for what happened (especially since most of those affected weren't white). I guess that's still a step up from the US, where most people wouldn't even pretend to care, and would just say more should have died. Theresa May seems like one of those people who got where she is through the slow and steady game, not through being suitable for the public. The Tories devoured each other over Brexit and she and that Andrea Leadsom woman (who was very far right compared to what was seen as a more moderate May, and also made a crass comment about May being incapable of governing because she was childless) were the main ones who stood for the PM role. And then with the Tory-supporting press in her corner because she wanted a hard Brexit, she seemed unstoppable, but she was just too tin-eared and cold in her proposals, in dealing with the public, etc. I imagine she is just being kept on for the Brexit negotiations and then will be shoved out.
  9. Thank you for finding this. I just love anything with Nancy. I remember her wearing some of those on the show around 79-80-81.
  10. "Jade give two rides." "I bet she did!" will always, always make me laugh.
  11. You should have seen that vile pig of a woman punch Sharon for daring to be upset about Louise being raped, as viewers were invited to laugh and cheer. It's such amazingly cynical writing and producing as we are invited to simultaneously jeer at this family while also feeling morally superior to them and wanting them to improve so they can be at our level. It's the ultimate in classism, like much of EE today.
  12. Michael Hawkins in his big LIAMST scenes where he's trapped in a burning garage.
  13. He's the son of the vile mother. They also had him lie that he had sex with Louise while drunk. When she finally got over her shame enough to realize this was rape, he admitted that he was lying because he likes her and wanted people to think they'd slept together. I assume this means with the way the stories for Bex were written that Louise will apologize to him and they will end up dating and we will be awed...
  14. Here's Will Estes:
  15. @vetsoapfan could you see if you think the guy in the commercial I posted a page or two back is George Reinholt?
  16. Aside from a dubbed clip I put up months ago that's the only bit of Pat Barry Isabelle I've seen. It doesn't really seem like Isabelle...
  17. In spite of all the hard work many are doing I've always had my doubts about Democrats winning the GA seat (which is why I wish it hadn't become the litmus test of all litmus tests), and stuff like this just makes me wonder even more: http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/karen-handel-says-suspicious-packages-threats
