  1. The more I read people talk about Mueller the more I flash back to the 2016 fantasies about how this or that was sure to drive Trump out of the race. Between Trump going on about the "storm" that's coming, and North Korea's plans to soon test a missile that can reach the US, I think we're going to have much bigger problems long before Mueller does anything.
  2. There is an episode of 9-10 year old Tom around.
  3. And the only Barton babies have Dingles as parents. The Kings might still beat the Bartons (for now...). Did you see the scene where Harriet upbraided Charity for making light of Emma's suicide when she wouldn't make fun of a mentally ill Zak or Belle? I thought you might like that. The only one I really disagree with was Finn.
  4. I can't stop watching this.
  5. I never saw Scott Holmes as being able to have any type of sexual or romantic chemistry. I did think he and Ellen Dolan were fine together in her first years on the show - playful and a believable couple, the type of day-to-day worry over takeout, picking up the kids, etc. that Marland knew how to write. Only after she returned and the characters became screaming banshees did I grow to dislike them.
  6. Serial killer stories never kill off characters people want to see dead.
  7. The most well-known is probably Silas on Hollyoaks.
  8. Shadrach died 7 years ago. I think I would be more down for this a year or two ago when the Dingles were going around acting like thugs, but they mostly seem very disparate and are scattered into their own random storylines these days. I can see why you can't stand them though, as it's how I tended to feel about the Mitchells on EE before they were broken up. I'd never want them to kill off Sam though.
  9. Thanks. First time I've seen Celeste Holm as Isabelle. Can't say I'm a big fan of such a drastic personality rewrite - claiming she now wants to break up Trucker and Trisha because being away (AKA being recast) helped open her eyes cracked me up. Holm seems miscast.
  10. Thanks so much. I guess this is connected to the clip of the john dying.
  11. The media obsession over Tillerson calling you know who a "moron" reminds me again just how useless and harmful the circle jerk of the press often is.
  12. Thanks. What a wonderful surprise. I'd never seen this episode before. I remember reading about how different Secret Storm was to other soaps of the day, and I can kind of see that here, especially with the Debbie and Jerry scenes. That was also a bit more passionate of a kiss than I'd expected for this era... IMDB says Walter Bellinger played Jerry at this time, but there's no credit here.
  13. She's in another one too on the same channel - talking about her sister's pregnancy. That one I remember more.
  14. I think she did, yes. Lisa Brown was getting a lot of focus around this time, both for GL and Broadway - maybe it was her? Or maybe one of the Morgans.
  15. I'd forgotten Linda was different early on. I haven't seen these episodes in a long time. Seeing Eric just breaks my heart.
  16. Another "pro-life" hypocrite. http://www.cnn.com/2017/10/03/politics/tim-murphy-abortion/index.html
  17. Most people in the media here don't care anyway. Or most people in general, sadly. I can't even be surprised as Nikki Haley was fine with bigotry as governor of SC.
  18. There's no reason to do a lot of things on EE but I still wouldn't do them. I'd take Billy over Honey, especially after this past year, as I feel they damaged her character by making her a bitchy snob.
  19. There's no reason to kill off Billy.
  20. Well that's the thing with Ben - he actually has had a bit more of his own life (even if it was on the backburner) this year, rather than be all about Phil. And this is when they choose to write him out. I'd guess there will be some new characters who go - the old couple (the Murrays), probably a few Carters (not Mick or Linda, sadly). I wouldn't be surprised to see Robbie Jackson go either. Or Donna.
  21. I'm glad I was too lazy to reply to this until now as I would have said I was looking forward to and interested in the Ben and Luke relationship. Now I know that will go nowhere so I don't have to bother. I find the idea of Kathy's rape story (if any of you haven't seen it I hope you find a way as it was superb) being used for shock value to be distasteful and the idea of her rapist being yet another generic Gavin type to be distasteful. And it will likely just end in more nonsense and tabloid melodrama. I've read that more characters are being written out, quite a few by some estimates...I assume Max will go, and probably Jay and Jane. And I can't see myself bothering to watch much longer if the characters I enjoy keep going. I think writing out Ben, especially after he's had a lengthy period of rest and was ready for new, big material, is a very stupid idea, and counterproductive, especially when the show consistently fails at bringing in new characters. In spite of everything I'd grown to like Ben a lot, which is more than I can say for 90% of the cast at present. Clearly that doesn't matter because we need more, more, more Mick, Ian, Phil, and rapist supervillains.
  22. And, around 19 minutes in, here's John Castellanos and future Y&R superstar Steve Burton, in worse lighting than even the last years of GL had. Needless to say some of these predictions didn't come true...
  23. If anyone ever asks you where you can see Dionne Warwick, Steve Burton, Rod Roddy and Krista Tesreau together, now you have your answer. Krista gets a reading about 12 minutes in. Watch as her twinky psychic friend gives her vague hints that she's going to be canned from OLTL (choosing between many projects, indeed...).
  24. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XGMYxl0NFmI
  25. I chose not to comment on Yasmine Bleethe and Ricky Paull Goldin (actually I forgot) but she looked like she was going to buzz off the screen.
