  1. Nothing against Ford - she's done everything she can. For all the talk from some about her nefarious schemes, she is clearly a very brave woman who has had to act mostly on her own, with not even the support of her parents. It's just so many others up high, with the real power, who are setting the stage. And those are the most craven people, yet unfortunately, the ones who tend to get the final say in narrative and results. This is how the media are going to get Trump and Kavanaugh through this. Todd made sure at other points to set the narrative that Democrats are to blame for Ford being put in this position, and that Democrats don't really care about the process and just want to be a support group. And the end result is the "both sidesing" that gets Republicans what they want like clockwork - oh boo hoo boo hoo both sides are broken broken broken...it is so very sad and did I mention I'm above it all, because I need you to know just how impartial and intelligent I am, unlike everyone out there who can't stop seeing red and blue.
  2. The bar is so low for Kavanaugh. You can see already that the GOP has their puppets in place on NBC and the other media outlets always know the score too, likely ready to push the "both sides are broken...America makes me want to boo hoo," lines Jeff Flake trotted out. All Kavanaugh has to do is make a sad face and put in eyedrops and blink, and everyone will swoon about how he is the real victim. The GOP are such morons and so drunk with power that they went into a hearing they never should have gone into, not realizing how badly their senators come across or that not everyone would see Ford as some kind of insane liar. The worst part is they are so drunk with power because they have a long history of doing whatever they want and getting away with it. That's why I just don't think anything is going to change now.
  3. I see that Chuck Todd has picked up the talking points I've seen on Twitter about how the Democrats are just supporting Ford instead of questioning her. (never mind that if they did question her, he and the other hacks would say that even the Democrats doubted her story) It's not hard to know why he keeps his job in spite of being a failure on every level. He would do anything and has always done anything to get a Republican a win. Wow. No shame. (Jordan is so dead in the eyes and face he makes Mike Pence seem like Cary Grant) https://twitter.com/bobcesca_go/status/1045375288723599360
  4. Jennifer Rubin knows exactly why they are obsessing over polygraphs. This is about clinging to any conspiracy they can to have a little cover for what they are going to make happen regardless of today's result.
  5. I'm not surprised at how many people keep saying "She's afraid of flying but she flies anyway!" as "proof" of her being a liar. It just reinforces how out of touch with reality so many in the GOP and the media have become. And it doesn't even matter. Ugh.
  6. I saw that she was also saying that Ford was getting doubts cast onto her little by little. And apparently Chuck Todd was supporting her views (Kelly's). They are the two most chained to the Beltway so they have to fight the hardest for shilling, as they likely know Kavanaugh is golden no matter what.
  7. Thanks for giving these updates. I know a few days ago someone was giving a very opposite version of WH reactions from Sherman but he may be more reliable, I don't know. I'm glad Blumenthal made Lindsey Graham stew. He is a nasty little toad. (I am tempted to say something worse but Rosie O already did that for me)
  8. Maggie Haberman must be getting excited over the next big "let's bail out the GOP" story to run.
  9. It looks like the increasingly desperate GOP are trying to muddy the waters with claims about other men coming forward to say they attacked Ford. I wonder if this was anything close to what they thought Whelan was going to do, and he just went off the rails. All of this is just repulsive and sick beyond belief. I can't believe this is where we are. And that this has become the new normal. It's just going to get worse and worse, more and more depraved and unclean. Pure sociopathic evil.
  10. I saw Dorothy Lyman on The FBI yesterday, as the cantankerous mother of a bad guy. She was in one of those power wheelchairs. I'm not sure if it was for the character or if she uses it. Marcia Cross posted on Instagram about her battle with anal cancer. She says she is in remission now.
  11. I just saw the post saying it was mentioned in the article, so maybe I'm wrong, but this feels like such a sly, CNN thing to do with that headline.
  12. Glad Freema is doing well. The BBC decided to put an article on their site a few days ago that said Peter Capaldi was not "universally loved." While that is true (and no actor is "universally loved" as the Doctor) it seemed remarkably churlish, given how much Capaldi did for the show and what a lifelong fan he is. Some fans and even past cast members like Anneke Wills were tweeting in support of him yesterday. The whole thing just reminded me of why I'm so wary of getting back into the show again.
  13. This is lazy and crass even by CNN standards. Not only erasing the black women who supported Anita Hill, but retroactively claiming all kinds of men supported her when even many allegedly "liberal" men in the Senate let her hang out to dry.
  14. True. It looks like -the GOP is just doing deny, smear, they're out to get this saint of a man, and so on. They're going to push this right through and no one can stop it. Even after Trump won I don't know if I ever felt as sick inside as I do right now.
  15. I find Cohen just unbearable to watch at this point. I made the mistake of trying to watch a clip of John Mayer (certainly no sweetie pie himself, I know) singing "It's My House," and the cooing, mugging, and cutesy-cutesy [!@#$%^&*] from Cohen was so awful I had to stop after about a minute. He is never going to be what he wants to be or what Bravo wanted him to be and I wish they could phase him out.
  16. The jig was up when they refused to ask Mark Judge to testify. They don't care and they know most of the public won't either. It makes me sick. From these allegations, to the others, to the drinking, to the debts, this man seems to be way so many dangerous things that will lead America right into a buzzsaw when he is confirmed. And things like this that don't even get a lot of coverage, but are so strange and disturbing. There was such a perversion and depraved tone to how the '90s Clinton scandals were handled by the GOP (which ended up turning viewers against them by the end of the decade), and I have to wonder if he is a big reason why. https://www.politico.com/story/2018/09/26/kavanaugh-confirmation-starr-vince-foster-842530 As with the larger controversies Kavanaugh finds himself enmeshed in, the one Feinstein identified is also sexually explicit. It stems from his questioning of grand jury witness Patrick Knowlton, as part of the Starr investigation, about a man Knowlton claimed to have seen in Fort Marcy Park not long before the body of Clinton White House lawyer Vince Foster was found there in an apparent suicide in 1993. After being questioned by Kavanaugh in 1995 in front of a Washington grand jury re-investigating Foster's death, Knowlton complained that the young prosecutor asked him inappropriate questions suggesting Knowlton might have been in the park looking to have sex with another man. "Did the man in the park pass you a note?" Knowlton recalled Kavanaugh asking, later followed by an even more jarring question: "Did the man in the park touch your genitals?"
  17. They will do anything to get Kavanaugh on the court and they know they won't face that much blowback in the Senate races because most of the competitive elections are in hard right states anyway. The media also seems reluctant to go against Kavanaugh. I think they will just keep their heads down and be rewarded for their craven cowardice, as they always are.
  18. I think he waited several days too long (if it was the client's choice I respect that obviously). We're at the point now where this is going to be pushed through no matter what.
  19. Parts 2 and 3 also have Dynasty material (and both are also NSFW, just to warn) including interviews with various cast members, Nolan Miller, and the Pollocks.
  20. You wouldn't have a man with a body like that on a cover today. People would bitch about him not being roided out, or about his having a hairy chest, or whatever else. Everyone has to look exactly the same now - usually, like boring twinks, or dead-eyed ab machines like the hacks on Riverdale.
  21. I hadn't seen her in a while, aside from an occasional statement she makes that gets noticed. She looks about the same as she has for a long time. I always forget she and Johnny were in that Vacation movie as the kids were kind of superfluous by that time. I wonder if he had a hand in her casting. Johnny seems to really fit Roseanne (or The Conners as it is now called) even after all these years. I'd say more than he did on BBT.
  22. @SFK @Vee @DaytimeFan @YRBB @Khan I thought some of you might like this. I won't post every video to save space but you can find them on the uploader's channel. It's hosted by the late, great Kate O'Mara and has a number of Dynasty ladies interviewed or listed. A number of Dynasty cast are also interviewed. (I should warn the first video has a naked photo of Stephanie Beacham)
  23. This show just can't stop giving the Palins checks. I guess this is part of ABC's attempt to shore up right wing support. Good luck with that.
