I think Terri also had an eating disorder in real life, which they worked into Frannie's story. When she passed, the guy who played Jay left a comment on an article (or I assume it was him), which was nice.

As The World Turns Discussion Thread
That was Frannie (Terri Vandenbosch) and her main love interest at the time, Jay. Kirk, even though he mostly flames through the screen, was in love with Frannie, but Frannie had eyes for Jay. Marcy (Marisa Tomei) had eyes for Kirk. After this viewers learned Jay and Kirk were half-brothers, which was supposed to be very dramatic, presumably, but the incoming production regime phased out the characters. I don't know if Vandenbosch chose to leave or was let go, but she was replaced by Julianne Moore. I've seen the Lujack video, and I've seen soap couples of this era run around set to music, but I've never seen a character fantasize their own music video this way. And it is so so fixed to this one point in time (I kept waiting to see that lady who sings "The Warrior" pop up). The closest probably comes near the end of the decade when Rena Sofer was on Loving and had a fantasy about having a dance floor threesome with her two love interests.

I didn't see this posted. I don't remember seeing this (partial) episode before, although maybe I'm wrong. I certainly don't think I would have forgotten the very, very of-the-era moment of ludicrousness at around 25 minutes. You have to see it for yourself. @Vee @Khan @vetsoapfan @Mitch

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
If LVP is blocking Brandi she is doing everyone a favor. She is just awful on every level and is one of the main reasons for the death of this franchise. She is likely too much of a liability for Bravo to put under contract.

I'd totally blanked that Anna Kathryn Holbrook briefly popped up on AMC after her AW firing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJ5DgXM8pFE

2019 and thanks to idiots, bots, and the conservative/desperate/cowardly people who run Twitter, ClintonBodyCount is trending. This [!@#$%^&*] should have been left in 1994 but it never, ever goes away. We're never going to leave the '80s or the '90s. Ever.

At least, on the bright side, the media has less and less relevance in this country. I feel like many people moved on from Mueller a long time ago anyway. I did get to see lots of Twitter folks blasting the hell out of Michael Moore, and I'm always up for that.

I have a lot of respect for Al Franken, and I think he's a huge loss for the Senate, but I don't understand the point of dredging this back up. From what I've seen the article did not tell anyone anything new, did not really go into most of the allegations, and all it's done is tear open old wounds and make a number of people lose respect for Jane Mayer after her very strong reporting over the last few years.

I don't think Iran was going to keep to the deal anyway, but the way we handled the whole thing means they now feel free to do whatever they want.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I noticed people on Twitter immediately calling her out because of her theatrics over her dog last year. She didn't seem thrilled.- One Life to Live Tribute Thread

The other thing that gets me in those reviews is how blunt Jon Michael Reed is, like when he says Somerset is better off dead. Imagine a soap reviewer saying that in later years. I would love to see the scenes of a drunk Susan at Emily's hospital bed. It sounds exquisite.- Vetsoapfan's Treasure Trove: Vintage Soap Material
Thank you for sharing those Daily TV Serials reviews, which I love. I guess that last one was the last as I don't think the magazine saw 1978. It's fascinating getting a look in at each soap, especially as this is the only look in we'll ever get. And hearing Robin Mattson described as lightweight and not worth watching is so startling knowing what would be to come.- Y&R: Old Articles

I'm mostly surprised they didn't try with Gwendoline Christie. Brienne was one of the most popular characters on the show. I rarely, if ever saw any negative comment about her. She also had a fairly large role in the last season. Gwendoline, Carice and Alfie all did a great job over the years, when the writing was there and when it wasn't. Many of the main faces of the show seemed to struggle as the years passed, but they never did. I'm very happy for all of them. I'd love to see Alfie win but in this case the nomination is the victory. - The Politics Thread
