  1. My main memory was that tacky story on The City where she was revealed to be turning tricks because of abuse or something. He seems to be a realtor now. His work in this episode was very good...the part where he realizes Buck is no longer going to be around (telling him he's the man of the house) is a scene that would not have been effective without a strong actor in the part. The episode was mostly a lot of Emoting to cover a somewhat padded set of scenes, but still, it was effective emoting. I was probably most interested in the Shana and Leo material. Shana as a new mother to a special needs child as well as acting as a lawyer provided so many story possibilities, instead of just removing her from the show.
  2. These look 'new' to me for YT? Are they? I don't remember ever seeing Travis' last moments. @amybrickwallace
  3. I agree. It's been a real tonic in a hard time to have the increased uploads the last few years, and dc's commentary and threading stories together has helped a great deal to add to what we know and can enjoy.
  4. Not surprised.
  5. I never can remember whether they asked Lisa and she said she needed a break or if they never asked her. When The City was wrapping up they seemed to be hinting she might appear.
  6. Ha ha ha pigfuckers. Rigging, likely costing voters their lives, and you lost even more than you were already going to lose. I hope this is just the start of your losing, you pieces of [!@#$%^&*].
  7. It's too early to say, but I've rarely seen a well-respected senator self-immolate this way, especially since Maine is not a reactionary state. I can only guess that Olympia Snowe's well-known dislike for her was right on the money, and it just took enough time for the mask to slip.
  8. If you've ever heard "do a barrel roll" you've heard Rick May.
  9. I can't imagine how much of a shock this must have been to viewers at the time who didn't read soap magazines. "She looked so pretty." Debbi Morgan does so much with that one line.
  10. Not directly Joan but I thought this was awkwardly cute.
  11. Wilbur Ross...the man who bragged about COVID-19 and how it would help our economy?
  12. We'll all be keeping you and your brother in our thoughts.
  13. Thanks for sharing that, @DramatistDreamer . I see that the NYT put out a piece on Biden's accuser today, which of course has been controversial and blown up the whole thing even more. I don't have the stomach to read it. Her story is just full of holes for me, namely how much she has changed key portions. I also feel like I have no real right to be in a position to judge though. The whole thing is just depressing and is only getting started.
  14. I hadn't even heard about that last one. Ugh. I guess there's also whatever went on with Martha and her reasons for leaving for good.
  15. Oh wow. Never thought I'd see something like this. I always wanted to see exploration of this period. Thanks so much. I never would've known otherwise.
  16. It's not new, but defunding during a pandemic feels like an escalation even for them.
  17. Also Irna Philips vs Rosemary Prinz and Jane House. Oh and Irna vs Helen Wagner, as she fired her at one point.
  18. I'm not a very optimistic person by nature, and I guess days like today when I read that Trump is trying to kill the Post Office, that bird has flown away entirely, but I hope you're right.
  19. That must be why the government magically gave Arizona PPE supplies and McSally is doing a victory lap. Sadly, Trump is still getting what he wants - he put out an incoherent ad tying Biden to China, and the media ate it up. Bernie supporters are widely circulating it and using it to show everyone that Trump will win in a landslide. They're also still pushing the incoherent Tara Reade story. And telling everyone that Trump has more progressive policies than Biden. They will do anything to get him a win.
  20. Shameful. They want to bankrupt the mail service to help rig the elections.
  21. It's exhausting to watch, let alone play. I think Colleen just had pushback against passive or victim Barbara. She loved Marland but she even complained about the writing for her in the Gavin storyline.
  22. Long overused her but I liked that she did try to make her a broader character on the canvas, like her friendship with Philip, or the later story where Roger took compromising photos of her. I'm still surprised we got that scene where she and Philip caught up when he came back from the dead. I got serious hag and gay bestie vibes from Kim and John Bolger's Philip, which makes me enjoy them together more.
  23. Yeah. I have to admit Marley is my favorite of the twins, so my interest only really is there when she's properly cared for. The show caving in to Jensen's demands still bugs me and it did Vicky no favors as a character either. Anne Heche tried to have both characters treated respectfully. It's not that hard. It's just common sense. Both thrive when they are together in story and contrast in story.
  24. I wouldn't have minded that either. I did like Henry and Barbara but he'll never be her big true love for me (that was Hal). I was mostly just glad she had something to do beyond the turgid stuff with Sheffer. Barbara and Lucinda were probably the main two reasons I watched the last year of the show - I'd tuned out in the early '00s and only came back when I heard it was being canceled. If I'd had to sit through Liberty, Janet, Paul, etc. I would have gone through a window.
