  1. Interesting info. Brown was cute here - I guess he didn't really go on to much career-wise. Brenda Benet was so appealing in the ingenue role, she's the highlight for me. I need to go back and watch the other two episodes on Youtube but the quality is so bad (I think the original versions by Saynotoursoap were ruined by someone else and then this third uploader tried to fix those versions) I haven't gotten around to it.
  2. Oh I hadn't heard anything about any of his projects. Anyway, sad news but if he has done what he's accused of having done I hope his victims find justice.
  3. There's another edit later in the episode, I think (I may be wrong) - I wondered if it was tape decay or something along those lines.
  4. An episode I'd never seen on Youtube before. (1) The Young Marrieds (July 14, 1965, ABC-TV) - YouTube
  5. I don't bother with Y&R now but I am happy for Karla to get a few weeks work - she was a bright spark in GL's last year. She also had a fun web series with Victor St. John after GL ended that I wish had run a little longer. (it was called Wed-locked)
  6. Thanks for gathering all this for everyone.
  7. It makes sense to have a Carol Burnett focused promo (especially with Opal as this was around the time Mama Family's was on), but it's so rare to see a comedy-based promo like that. Severe makeup aside, Erica looks gorgeous in that first promo.

  9. Months ago I told @vetsoapfan I would post scans of Trish Stewart's Starlog interview. I finally am. (there is only brief mention of Y&R, but Y&R was her best known show so I thought I could post them here)
  10. Another pathetic, unhinged conspiracy theory that many on the right as well as on the dead end left were happy to amplify.
  11. He's just a monster. And he gets away with it every time, even though people are going to be killed or seriously injured because of this.
  12. This still isn't great, but it could have been worse (many believed Rhode Island was going to lose a seat, and Florida and Texas were both expected to gain more...I have a feeling Trump's rush is the reason for this).
  13. The list of omissions this year is shocking (and this isn't even close to the full list of some of the biggest names).
  14. Very classy tribute - gorgeous countryside too.
  15. Glad I didn't bother to watch, especially after learning they snubbed Jessica Walter - they can nominate Clint Eastwood for zipping his pants, but not a mention of Jessica?? Anthony Hopkins is one of the best actors around, and Academy voters do NOT like feeling pressured or having expectations put onto them, especially in a year of racial justice - I had seen some speculation he would pull an upset. I'm just sorry they screwed around Chadwick's loved ones that way. The Glenn Close bit was a delight.
  16. I think this is Gil Rogers in the Stroh ad at about an hour and 8 minutes. Does anyone recognize the woman? Brynn Thayer appears earlier in an Anacin ad. (3) WMAQ Channel 5 - NBC Network - The Big Event - "The Time Machine" (Complete Broadcast, 11/5/1978) 📺 - YouTube
  17. EE's producers are still obsessed with the idea that everything must be dragged out to Christmas for the sake of a big episode and a ratings boost. That has not happened in many years, but at this point it is probably easier to just stall, stall, stall. EE has been guilty of this for a decade or more, with misery stories like Danielle's death, but it's become ridiculous in the last 4-5 years. I'm not surprised that "Queen Kate," as some of her devotees called her, is ramping this up to the point of no return.
  18. That interviewer is very offputting, especially with all the personal questions she clearly didn't want to answer. It's interesting hearing Brenda address how "bad" Jill had become by saying fans still enjoyed her (I know after her exit she said that she also did not like the villainous writing for Jill). She's very reserved here but you can sort of see her later persona peeking through. (I also found myself thinking, "Don't get married again, Brenda!")
  19. Thanks for posting those articles, both of you. Here is a bit longer clip of the above scene AMS linked. John McCook talks over that part but you can still see the shots. John McCook & Melody Thomas Scott Behind the Scenes at CBS Television City Studio - YouTube
