  1. I felt like Darlene Conley was flatteringly styled as Sally, even as she was meant to be a caricature. There's nothing similar here. Maxie should have been written out a decade ago.
  2. I can't begrudge Chavez, but Ryan Murphy's shows are disgusting beyond belief and are nothing but exploitation of abuse. They are a blight on television.
  3. Corrie probably has far more people who are longterm than EE...but cast rotation means many aren't around (or are part time these days). Lola was never that popular. Her first few years were her peak with the public. The story, like all of the "issue" stories the show has done for a long time now, felt extremely false to me for this reason. The show does nothing for me these days. I'm glad you were able to enjoy it.
  4. I'd guess it was their decision, but someone else can remember better than I do.
  5. I've been worried about Madonna for a few years now. I hope she can find time to heal.
  6. I've always found him to be incredibly cold and generic, but I have never been that into this show anyway.
  7. Nicolas Coster's passing made me think of Eduardo's last scene, slowly being killed by Orlena. Such a horrifying scene in a way very unique for ATWT, or most soaps, and a moment that led into the last strong story the show ever did. The part was ultimately a waste of Coster's talents, but what a way to go.
  8. Didn't the parent company very abruptly yank DAYS from NBC to try to prop up Peacock?
  9. Thanks. There's so much in the radio soap world I wish I knew more of...it's amazing you and others have found all that you have found.
  10. Brief glimpse of a radio soap here - not entirely sure which. It's about 6 minutes in. @jam6242 @dc11786 @Paul Raven @vetsoapfan @slick jones
  11. Coster lived a very full life, even still working to his last years, but I'm sorry to hear he's gone. Such a wryly amusing, charismatic, restrained presence who added a touch of class to anything he appeared in...and he appeared in plenty.
  12. Don Briscoe still makes you catch your breath. Thanks as always for these. @slick jones I was wondering if Dominic Chianese was in those 1983 ATWT scenes, or if you already gave him that credit (I checked earlier but might have missed it).
  13. Thanks @Vee it's so sweet to see all these photos of Bonnie back with the show, all these years later.
  14. Thanks. I'd wondered that too (or whatever name he was going by in that period).
  15. Thanks for taking time to check.
  16. I don't know for sure, but it certainly reminds me of her.
  17. Think this is Geoffrey Scott. Wondering if anyone can ID a few others. @jam6242 @vetsoapfan
  18. The show has improved a bit from where it was earlier this year, but still feels very lost to me. I don't mind the Harry recast (I don't go far back enough to know the other Harry) but bringing in six new registrars only for most of them to be unlikeable, forgettable, and/or cannon fodder feels like a waste, especially when you have extremely played out characters like Dawn and Esther still central in story. Dawn is regularly involved in the worst stories on the show.
  19. Thanks @SoapDope . Always hope a bit of Tom and Carol together shows up someday.
