1999 or 2000, I think. The best part of that was the returns. Nikki is the most interesting to me of those four (even if I often loved to hate Nikki, especially in the '90s), but I agree Reva also had moments of being very compelling. And I never hated her overexposure in her return years as much as some fans did. I just had to stop around Jonathan because I found him unwatchable. I will credit Newman and Zimmer for, IIRC, not being all that into a reunion either. The show did have them get back together when the show ended but it was extremely low-key. Jeffrey's end was odd to me - essentially playing Spy vs Spy with Edmund. As someone who thought Bradley Cole's best chemistry was with DAM (at times they almost had too much chemistry), I suppose it is fitting.

They'll make a meal of Hillary not stopping the "lock him up," chants either, but after what she went through, good for her. The conspiracy theories about Biden are pathetic and a great example of how much the perpetually online paranoia has bled into political coverage. The last thing the Democrats would have wanted tonight was having Biden on late as it has overshadowed a lot of the potentially positive reception of the night.

There is no minimum too bare for CNN and their true love Trump. They will do anything to get him back.

Thank you for all the clips. I read about all the talking points on CNN tonight, showing their agenda to help Trump. Why did Hillary let them say lock him up, why was Biden on so late, why did the DNC run long. Biden's speech was too long. A panel trashing his speech. The main one that annoys me is David Axelrod opening his tomb again to chide Democrats for being too eager and overconfident when it's so clear that isn't the case. He also repeatedly needs to remind everyone he thinks Trump will win. That's a very valid fear, but I don't say it with the same scolding glee he can barely hide.

This seems to be a better quality copy of Bar Girls, Marcy Walker's 1990 pilot, than what was already on Youtube.

ALL: Proposed Soaps Over The Years
That's fascinating. I wonder if it's a reflection of what a malaise ABC was in by this point.

I'm going to wait a while to see if the uploader puts the episode back up. If not I may try it on Archive.

Knots Landing
Thanks. I am not good at keeping up with all the dates the way you guys are. (and I meant 13, not 12 - edited it)

Appreciate your season 7 rundown @Vee If any of you happen to be watching to season 13, whenever that appears, could you let me know if the Christmas episode has Michele Lee singing a tribute to Steve Shaw? That was cut from the Soapnet repeats. I've never seen it.

ALL: Temporary Replacements
Thanks. I didn't realize they had so many floating Lisas in the early/mid '90s. A lot of that time is available so maybe her episode is around somewhere.

I do appreciate the idea of them staying solid as a couple. Unfortunately, I just have no great use for either of them in the last 4-5 years of the show, but I do look forward to how you view them. Philip Brown also had the role of Ben but left due to overwork or not feeling he could play the part.

They tease Mack cheating for years. If there was a veto in place I wonder why they kept trying. Maybe because they ran out of natural story for Mack and Karen a number of years before the show ended. I think the only place I really enjoyed Hunt Block was on GL.

@dc11786 Thanks for all this extra info. I can't say anything about Salem's Children is wowing me. I feel bad for Janice Lynde though.

You're right. It's one of the reasons I am not going to pay a lot of attention to the convention as the narrative has already been written - they are going to will a Trump comeback with their last breaths.

I read an article a few days ago about them trying to avoid celebrities after having so many at the 2016 DNC. Probably not a bad idea. (sorry, Katy Perry) Thanks. In other circumstances I think they would have had a point about "weird," as it could have been run into the ground, but the GOP responded so defensively and handled the criticisms so poorly, it worked out in the end.

As The World Turns Discussion Thread
I do think from what we've seen of Nancy that she would not have married again. Some women just won't. I wonder how Helen Wagner felt about the marriage. With that said, when I started watching ATWT, Mac and Nancy were married, and I thought they were a sweet couple. The Alzheimer's story also gave Helen Wagner some chances to act, combining sorrow and grace in a way few others could.

I liked the Billy and Reva friendship because I felt like he knew the real her and accepted her, which Josh never could. He also had a lot of self-loathing, which the show never did a great deal with, but fit him to Reva. I do think Reva got off too lightly with the Lewis family for bedding three of them (and four if Kyle had been HB's son), but as @Mitch64 mentioned before, Reva was more of a man's woman. It's one of the reasons throwing a few female friends at her when she came back never really worked, maybe other than Abigail.
