  1. It's the nice comments that really make this thread keep going. Does anyone know more about Hank Iverson's paramedic story? That synopsis seems truncated.
  2. Her hair there reminds me of June Brown. I guess it doesn't look like that now though.
  3. IMDB doesn't even list this for her. I wonder how long she was on the show and what the story was. January 1960 TV Radio Mirror - what's new on the East Coast
  4. Some are saying that Margaret is in the hospital. I hope that's not true. Heather Chasen was one of those brought into Crossroads when new producers wanted to revamp it. While I think that was a really bad choice (firing Noelle Gordon), I can see why Heather was so popular. Here is her entrance. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mCgD0plN6ac
  5. October 22, 1985 Digest.
  6. January 1975 Daytime TV Penny is found innocent when the real psychotic murder tries to kill Maggie and confesses to Morrison's murder. Nick and Althea tell Penny they will not remarry and Penny is greatly upset. Ann is in Africa and has contracted a strange disease. Steve and Carolee learn his former wife, Karen, is still alive. March 1975 Daytime TV Michael returned, but at the last minute, refused to tell who he is. Greta believes his spirit is in someone else's body, not realizing the man she saw is actually Michael. Margo returned from Hawaii, refusing to give Alan a divorce, but is taken sick and dies. Ann has recovered from her jungle illness but reporter Kitty Harris has been investigating it. May 1975 Daytime TV Toni and Alan were married in a small ceremony on Valentine's Day, although Toni is not aware her husband is still alive and living out of the country. Karen has regained her memory and has been pressing to regain custody of her son by Steve, Erich. Martha Allen is flattered by Ernie Cadman's attentions. July 1975 Andy Anderson has been persuaded to record a record, but vows he will never leave med school since his parents worked too hard to help him. Karen is trying to win Erich over, to regain possession of him. Carolee was able to talk to Steve's step-niece. Mike has fallen in love with Dawn. Toni is overjoyed at the thought of becoming pregnant. Mike has decided to get in touch with his folks. November 1975 Penny successfully came between Andy and Stacy and Stacy turned to Ricco. Ricco and Stacy have begun an affair. Penny and MJ have taken a room together, and MJ is trying to help Penny. Alan thinks Toni is still in love with Mike and is very hurt. Steve and Karen had a meeting about Eric, and Carolee is feeling more and more left out and is angry. Ann told Althea Nick still loves Althea. January 1976 Although Toni lost the baby, she still refuses to give in to either of her "husbands." She is determined to be free an independent, at least until she knows what she wants for herself. Mona returned to town, and Ann moved in with her. Ann told Mona she and Carolee are now friends, and Mona has been working on a plan to help Steve and Carolee regain custody of Erich. Although Hank Iverson's paramedic unit is doing well. March 1976 Erich has been undergoing psychiatric care, and both his sets of parents have been cautioned about what they say to him. Carolee and Steve have been having marital problems caused by the recent strains put on them. Greta is growing up and noticing boys, especially Billie Allison. this is causing pleasant concern for her parents. Althea has been dating Robert Wilson, whose wife is missing.
  7. Sure, I will post what I can once I finish up some of the Doctors and Loving synopses.
  8. I wonder how Andrea would have been as Kimberly. An old anniversary item for GL in the late 60s says that the show was so impressed by Liz Hubbard's work as Paul Fletcher's ex that they considered bringing her back for another role after they killed her character off. I wonder what that might have been.
  9. I'm so glad these brought back some memories for you. I have more from 1987, they're just very scattered. But keep an eye out. What did you think of Lotty? And of the early Clay stuff? And this Curtis recast?
  10. Thanks so much for reading. I will be posting more soon when I have the time, although they may not be in order. I also have a few from Daytime TV that are pre-SOD. FrenchFan probably covered that already but I don't think any have been posted in this thread. I really would like to know more about Jessie Rawlings.
  11. I really enjoyed most of this one. Great character interaction, friendship and tenderness along with conflict, and Stefan Booth is just beautiful. With a non-waxed chest! I can't stand anything with Ian/Jane but even that wasn't as annoying this time. I still can't get into the baby swap story but I hope after this I will connect more to Kat again.
  12. He was on GH briefly after this, as a recast of a very popular character, and was accepted quickly, but a new producer came in and killed him off. I think he was always supposed to die on ATWT. He's very good in this role, moreso than I thought he was as Tony. I like the tender moments with his kids, as he seems to realize he's probably not going to be around for long. The next episode after this is also available, and has some classic moments where Lisa tells a bemused Bob about how Olivia just fell in the pool. Then the Hughes and Lisa watch it on TV. And Lisa tells John to just be quiet and let her be the one to say it. Fun.
  13. Those were the high points of the episode. I'm glad Tanya is getting some home truths. Tanya is so insecure but I would have more sympathy for her if she were not so smug all the time. I'm glad the show didn't take the easy way out and pass Cora off as a loveable curmudgeon. The only distracting thing about Cora is she looks like a tranny stuck in the Old West. I'm really starting to like Greg, and the relationship with Tanya is starting to seem more balanced. Too bad this didn't happen sooner but I hope this isn't just the prelude to his exit. Sick to death of Jane all she does is drink and then trash Ian. They should have let Laurie go on her maternity leave early. Pat trying to explain to a distant Whitney about the time she first became a prostitute was a beautifully done scene, very understated. I don't care about Whitney, but I like seeing the ripple effects her problems have on her family. Poor Zainab, she should have known no one can ever beat Phil. Even with the degrading end it was still a very intense scene, and very rare for these two titans to meet. Using Dot as a home for lost characters was a clever idea and June Brown was at her best with Ronnie. I just wish they hadn't ruined Ronnie so long ago and that I believed Jack as a doting father. I thought the Masood drama was a real high spot of last week, I watched some of that again and again. After a poorly written year the family is finally becoming more complex than ever, and for the first time I actually care about Christian/Syed and sort of like Syed. That's a minor miracle, as last year I usually just wanted him to stop sniveling and leave.
  14. August 13, 1985 recap.
  15. June 1977 August 1977
  16. This episode has the scene which is in the short Lisa tribute clip I posted a while back. It's Lisa pushing someone (a fashion designer it turns out) into the pool. Very fun little scene, as is her being goaded by Lucinda. That Judith Clayton recast is no Jill Larson.
  17. I already posted January and March 1977. March is here. I will now post February and April. February: April:
  18. Sure. I will start on that. Did you read the ones I put in a few months ago that are from 76/77? I have some more from 77-78 I will put up.
  19. Also in this issue, some cast members at a party Mayor Ed Koch threw for New York's daytime community.
  20. From the October 1978 Digest.
  21. Thanks. This is great. Starts out a bit cynical but has a nice ending. I guess he was on at the time of that story with Jack and Zena.
  22. Thanks for finding that. I have some interviews, if I can ever get around to putting them on here. Hopefully that might give more detail. Who was Eric James? I wonder if BP was the first soap to have dope smoking.
  23. Thanks. This is great. I wonder what that letter was about.
  24. July 28, 1987 recap.
